Server Issues - FYI

Hey Folks,

You may have noticed that we are experiencing dropped connections, database errors, and crappy service.

It's all the hosting company's fault. :D (no, really it it is!)


In short, we are on a shared server. The shared server that we are on is being an asshole and has a "known issue" that the techs at our hosting company are supposedly working on.

I have been on the phone with them so much in the last 5 days and raised so much hell that I now have a direct line to management. :D
With that being said, we are definitely aware of the problem and have given our hosting company about 48 hours to rectify this situation. If they do not or can not remedy our connectivity issues, we will be looking at other alternatives (*cringe*), like changing hosting companies.

If that happens, it might suck for a day or two while we get everything changed over but the good thing is that we arent super-huge yet and getting in with a stable server at the ground floor level will be much better than waiting years.

Your patience is appreciated while we figure things out.

If you need recommendations for better providers (if it comes down to that) let me know. I know a few (one in Canada and one in the US) that might be a better option in the long run.

Who picked this crappy hosting provider? I want answers and I want them NOW!

I also want to know who decided to offer ketchup in those crazy purple and green colors a few years ago. Oh and who ripped the "Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific" and "Tickle" deodorant off the shelves?
