Good news for those interested in the Dance Lessons and Dance Events:

Simone can offer more Saturday afternoon lessons in Manhattan- and keep fees low if there is enough interest.

We would like to schedule 3 Saturdays to start with: this Saturday, April 24 (either 3-4pm, or 3:30-4:30pm depending on availability of Chelsea studio space), then two weeks later, May 8, and May 15. (As of yet, no class is scheduled on May 1.)

The fee for each one-hour dance workshop will be $20 per person, or, $50 for all three workshops. You don't need to commit to all three, but please let me know if you can commit to the first Saturday this April 24th. The space must be reserved and paid for in advance and we can't hold the class if there are not enough participants. (To help make minimum, these lessons will not be exclusive to B-F community, so spread the word.)

The goal of the last series of Dance Wkshps was to enjoy more partner-dancing at the BFS Gala. Mission Accomplished! The goal of this series will be to meet-up and dance at the May 16 Sage Tea Dance. We can work on partner dancing that can easily be done with the contemporary music that Susan Levine will be spinning. (Cha Cha, Salsa, Swing, etc.) We can use the Latin dances the next day at the Labor of Love Tea Dance at the Center - see below

LET'S MEET THIS SUNDAY: OUT SALSA presents: LABOR OF LOVE TEA DANCE AT THE CENTER this Sunday, April 25th. Get there early -They will have an INTRO TO SALSA DANCE LESSON AT 5PM.
There will also be dance performances: Simone will dance with Susan and she will also dance with her professional dance partner, Meredith (Hot! Hot! Hot!) I was told that they will play Salsa, Meringue, Cha Cha and perhaps Rumba music throughout the night.
OUT SALSA WILL RAFFLE OFF A FEW GIFT CERTIFICATES FOR FREE PRIVATE DANCE LESSONS WITH SIMONE.

This is OutSalsa's inaugural dance, if it is successful; the organizers hope to make it a monthly event. I think having an inexpensive lgbt venue for partner dancing would be a great thing for the community, and worth coming out to support. See below for contact info.

Be prepared to sweat and have a great time with this fun, diverse group of people at this LGBT Salsa tea dance. An unforgettable evening - be there at 5PM if you want to catch the Intro to Salsa class with Rebeca and John. Enjoy great dance music and a performance by Simone and Meredith. $10. 646.308.1341 - www.outsalsanyc.com.

I had a great time at the Afternoon Tea Dance Labor of Love, GLBT Salsa
Event yesterday at 5 ! It included a lesson at 5, and performances by some
dynamite dancers ! They hope to do it again, follow them at OutSalsaNYC on
Facebook, as well as a web site by the same name ( _www.OutSalsaNYC.com_
(http://www.OutSalsaNYC.com) ).

The people that taught the lesson, offer ongoing GLBT Salsa Lessons, a
series of 4, every Friday, with a new cycle, starting April 30th.
I will most likely join this month, and encourage everyone to :) Whether
you are a beginner or not, its a wonderful social atmosphere , and a lot of
fun :)
This is their web site
_www.DanceArcoIris.com_ (http://www.DanceArcoIris.com)
or on Facebook as Dance Arco Isis,
Both seem to be works in progress, so let me fill in the blanks ;)
Fridays 6:30 - 8:00
Salsa Dance Lessons, 4 in a series ( $15 a lesson or $55 for a full cycle
paid in advance ! )
Pearl Studios
500 8th Avenue ( @ 35th street) 4th Floor

Also, Simone continues to offer Dance lessons, specifically for the our
Community, and there are 2 scheduled in May, IF enough people can commit to
paying for the lessons, at a Chelsea Studio
The goal being to use our new Dancing skills, at the May 16th SAGE
Women's Tea Dance !
You must let _bfdance@nyc.rr.com_ (mailto:bfdance@nyc.rr.com) know, if you
are going, and please, Simone pays for the space ahead of time, so .
please do show up ;)
So far dates scheduled are May 8th and May 15th !

And of course, one of my all time Favorites, Big APple Ranch, continues to
have Two Step Lessons & Social Dancing, every Saturday, with the First
Saturday of the month, being Women's special Night !!!
More information on them at :
_http://www.bigappleranch.com_ (http://www.bigappleranch.com)

I am worn out just thinking about how much great dancing we have these days
:)
