I hear you on the crazy hours! Jackhammer (my partner) has an insane work schedule so we have to get pretty creative with our time.

When you went to Eureka last Oct., was it pretty crowded? I have been wanting to get Jackhammer up to Eureka because I have been telling her how beautiful it is but I wanted to go when it wasnt so crazy.

Maybe we can all plan a "float the Buffalo" trip or something!

Halloween sounds like a BLAST! And probably a great time to take her up there - Its always a really pretty drive in the Fall :)

I was wondering if you two have ever been to the Ron Coleman mines outside of Hot Springs? I went mining there for quartz crystals and came back with a nice load of real beauties. I would like to go back again and mine for diamonds. Could be a fun thing to do getting peeps together for a mining adventure!

Admittedly, I've never gone and looked for rocks, crystals, etc. but the idea of coming home with a handful of crystals is totally intriguing!

I talked to the Director for the Center for Artistic Revolution over the weekend and it sounds like Little Rock is not having a Pride celebration this year so Conway will be our time to REPRESENT!
It's a small-ish celebration in Conway but a good chance for all of us to get to know each other!

If you and Jack have the room, I'll put aside that weekend. I need a place to hang with people I know and it's not here in my town or for that matter my state. No one does much of anything here.

I know Niceguy can use some help with renovations, so maybe I'll be able to make a couple trips your way if it's not finished yet. It's only about 5 hours or so.

I'm in, walk in and for passing out cards or whatever else you want to give out I'd tell you if it wasn't expensive, to give out small bottles of water with the BFP logo on them. I used to work for a place that would do that when they sponsored a golf outing for customers. I don't know who printed the labels.

Yes you can grill there. I think there is a meeting pavillion, but it may cost to rent. Each pinic table has a personal grill, I took my own. A potluck would work. We may need to get in touch with the visitors center for info. I know the car show is june 15th-17th, so it will busy!

Doing some pre-Reunion planning and was thinking I should bump this thread for anyone in Arkansas who did not attend our last Reunion at the Peabody in downtown Little Rock.

On the front page of the website you can click the picture of the Mardi Gras mask and behind that is a separate page with all of the information for the Reunion (where, when, registration info, event descriptions, etc.)

There will be a very good crowd this year with lots of locals as well as people from all across the world. We'll be setting up at Pride in Conway again this year to hand out some information as well as hitting up some local spots to do some advertising for us.

Well, the time frame is a bit tricky and knowing where to stop is another. The odd bird that I am, I love greasy diners like Waffle House and Denny's. Another confession... I have stopped in my travels through Arkansas....I stop by Blue Suede Shoes Antique Mall in Bryant, just about every time I travel to Texas.


There are all kinds of places where we could meet by my place.

There's a Starbucks if you want to stop for coffee.

Anyone going to the HRC event tomorrow?

“On the Road to Equality” is the Human Rights Campaign’s nationwide bus tour to spread the message of equality by educating the American public and empowering lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people to become advocates for themselves and their families. The 12 week tour will travel to 17cities in 11 states and D.C., with particular emphasis on the Midwest and South where there are limited legal protections for LGBT people and living openly and honestly can be difficult. The tour comes as a new nationwide poll from HRC finds that Americans widely support LGBT equality issues but more work remains to be done.

There are several places that the bus stops. I know it is going to be at Triniti Saturday night.

If your interested. The HRC bus will be at the River Market tomorrow Saturday September 17 from 10 am to 2 pm.

This little guy is at my daughters in AR and she needs to find him a home.
He is maybe 7-8wks old?
He is Grey and White and is a tiny lil guy.
Pit/Mix and is free to a good home.
He is sweet with everyone and loves to cuddle!
He is wonderful with kids and lets my granddaughter who is 2 love all up on him, and is great with dogs!
He has been De-wormed and Has had a bath and will have another before he goes.
She found him on her doorstep and no one wants to claim him.

Also my daughter knows how to get a voucher for free fixing or fixing the dog for a donation. If you want to know about this, for this guy or for your own animals then please ask me for info.
