I seem to have missed the transition from "cool" to "chill".

I had no idea what they were talking about till the neighbour kid took me aside.

Photobombing

From Wikipedia: Photobombing is the act of purposely putting oneself into the view of a photograph, often in order to play a practical joke on the photographer or the subjects.

This image taken in Wales in c.1853 is possibly the earliest example of a photobomb.

2010s derogatory slang term for a person, implying that they have an inflated sense of uniqueness, an unwarranted sense of entitlement, or are overly-emotional, easily offended, and unable to deal with opposing opinions.

Snatched

If a person's hair, makeup, or outfit looks particularly fab, they’re snatched.

The term originates in ball culture and the LGBTQ community, and you’ll hear it on any episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

In addition, it’s also used as a verb to describe your reaction to something amazing.

Zoomers

First, there were Boomers, then came “OK boomer” (as a snide comeback to an older person), and now we have a name for the generation of people saying “OK boomer".

It is a poetic justice that Zoomers are now linked through rhyme to the older generation. I've never had anyone say "OK boomer" to me, but if I do, they'll receive the ole "stink eye".

shelter in place

Shelter-in-place is the act of seeking safety within the building one already occupies, rather than evacuating the area.

The media seems to delight in using the word "shutter" when referring to businesses that have closed down! I don't get it!

Since when has "shut" not been good enough?!
