Does anyone but me participate in fantasy sports programs?

I usually use Yahoo and am proud of my lil trophies. Interesting how I do better in sports I don't know much about i.e. basketball.

Looking for folks who know something about baseball cuz my teams are sucking the big one this year and I can't figure how to turn them around.

Fantasy football is not that hard if you have basic football knowledge and it's also helpful to have up-to-date knowledge of the NFL and it's players and trends. Even if you only know a little you can win as some of the results could be considered just "lucky". I guess you could say it's a combination of luck and knowledge!

You can join in various spots, yahoo sports, NFL.com, and ESPN.com all have leagues and it's free to join. Many years ago when I had never played before I joined a public group. So basically I didn't know anyone in the league and they didn't know me which was fine. There was a little smack talking but it didn't bother me. I think I still did pretty good for a newbie if memory serves me right.

I like FF a lot, so much so I've started my own leagues pretty much every year since then. My league is all full up and I am happy to say the team managers seem really into it more than ever this year.

I'm excited about drafting Thursday night!!!! WHUT WHUT!!!!!

It's been a couple years since I was in a league but I played and have won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place tropies. I'm not boasting, I'm just saying it's almost a job to get on the computer to keep up with daily stats, injuries, and watch Baseball Tonight on ESPN.

I don't remember the name of the websites but you can usually find out who's going to be pitching against your team mates the next day and you can look up to see how your players have historically done against that pitcher, in that ballpark and with that information you can make a decision whether to play them or bench them for the next game. That's how I played it.

Spelling error there. Both should say Woodhead. Danny Woodhead is a rb version of Wes Wekler that the Patriots picked up when the Jets cut him early last year. He is short, compact, and fearless. He did rb and special teams last year. He is a risk given the Patriot committee approach to the game but I just like the guy.

Totes! A lot of luck and "borrowed" knowledge from John Shaft led to me winning the league championship last year, despite having slept through the draft and playing against MUCH more knowledgeable managers. I'm sure it sucked for them when I won!

Dear Nate Kaeding: I couldn't talk about this before now, but HOLY FREAKING CRAP, SERIOUSLY? Opening kickoff? You're like the icing on the craptacular cake that is my fantasy football team.

On top of that I had Steve Smith benched, and I started the Pats D instead of the Bears.

Been rolling with E. Manning as my QB and this week I'm choosing Stafford because those Giants are playing the niners. See how this turns out on my biggest move for the week. Also changed kickers since my original was on a bye week and moved some WRs. See if I can end up 6-0 at the end of this week !

My teams are sucking big time. Am heavy on Packers, Patriots, and Steelers. I am replacing the replacements with even worse replacements. My best team is 2-3, the rest are 1-4. LOL.

TE - T. Gonzalez and the Falcons are 5-0. :) Finley and Tamme. Haven't played Tamme yet. Guess he's a backup if needed since he's not really scoring points.

My kicker has been from the Saints but they are on a bye week so I chose the Bronco one this week. Been playing Giants DEF and this week I'm playing DET DEF. Then I have 3 defensive players.
