Our dear Fiercegrrl is fighting cancer as many of you know. She is doing it without insurance and since she worked as an independent contractor so she is not able to get even disability from her former employer.

Yes Dylan she will. She's a trooper that's for sure. I am impressed with her bravery and continued fight. And even though she has us all supporting her, I'm sure it's hard to be (or feel like) she's alone in DC. She is NOT - we are all with her, in spirit.....

I will do everything I can to help her - there are people I know on this site that have actual skillz - I haz none - that can make things for her auction, I hope they do. I have offered up something for the auction lol I'll even have lunch with the winning bidder -sigh - what more can you really ask for??? However, as amazing as I personally am - I cannot knit booties or make birdhouses....they would help with the auction. As would anything homemade that ya'll are good at.

Fiercegrrl (aka Nicole) is still in the fight for her life. She has stage III Ovarian cancer and just had another surgery this week where they discovered that the cancer has spread further.

thanks angie for starting this.
i got home yesterday from a 10 day hospital stay where i almost lost my life. i had a bacterial infection called CDIFF that shut down my bowels and almost caused them to rupture so a life saving intervention of a colostomy bag was needed and the next night my doctors realized that my right kidney was about to burst (most likely from the same infection although they have no actual way of knowing) but they had to perform another life saving operation in which i was given a permanent urostomy that drains my kidney from oustide my body.
these are huge life altering and quaility of life adjustments that i'll have to work with. it's not an easy bump by any means.
but, thank you for helping and thinking of me through. it means a lot to me.
