Religion vs. Modern World

While the LGBTQ community is under constant attack by the Fundamentalist Right-Wing Christians, I've often wondered if religion as a whole is facing challenges from the modern world.

I'm curious for those who are religious, specifically those of Christian-based faiths, if you feel that you're under direct attack. Do you feel there is a place in the world for your religion? Do you think it can or does evolve as societies do?

I'll have more questions but these ones came to mind to me today.. :)

i honestly feel the opposite. i feel like the modern world is under attack by religion, in particular those fundamentalists you mention.

There are a lot of Americans who would love it if evolution weren't taught in the schools.

For me personally, I think and believe that each person has to find their own belief system. Nobody can push their own belief system down someone else's throat. It isn't going to work. It is absurb to think so. :fishswim:

There are many things in my life that seem like intrusions - read Mass. I think for myself, and myself alone, is the reason why I go. It is for me, and my relationship with God.
