View Full Version : The Older LGBTIQ Crush Thread - Post Age 40

AtLast

I enjoy taking a look at the Crushing thread- but, it seems to revolve around the young and mostly film celebrities. And its all about looks, air-brushed looks. Perfect body looks. So, I figured a thread for those of us past 40 might even things out. The 20 something air-brushed pics are just getting to be too much!

Hummmm... a discussion of ageism in our community could evolve, No? Or, just have fun with we older folks struttin' and showing our stuff! I know there are many, many, post 40 year old members here and that we admire or think many older people of distinction are hot!

Thank you so much for starting this thread AtLast! :rrose:

I have to confess that I can't handle much time in the other crush thread...it pushes all of the "you aren't beautiful enough to be loved" buttons I had installed at far too young of an age.

And, in gratitude, I will share a story with you...because I love Joan Baez too...always have, always will.

When I was 16ish...oh back somewhere about 1978...I flew (standby) up to San Francisco as I was inclined to do back then. It was right around Christmas...clear, cold, bright...

Joan Baez gave a free, candlelight concert on the steps of City Hall (or some such building) at midnight as her gift to the people of San Francisco...and I went. There were hundreds and hundreds of us, standing and sitting, silently holding candles....listening to her sing and play acoustic guitar in a relatively silent city night. It was probably one of the most magical times I have ever experienced.

Yup, thinking the same thing! Imagination fascination is fun, but, we are not all perfect! Besides, how one carries herself is what gets my attention. I just had a conversation with my wrinkles... they said they give me character. Sure, I enjoyed my younger days, but there is a whole lot to be said for taking in some years. besides, older butches & femmes are hot!!!

Hi Jet :rrose:

I don't have an issue with celebrities or crushes...and I agree that a crush is a crush regardless of age.

Speaking only for myself, I don't spend time in the other thread because I have had far too much pain around the "you're only beautiful and desirable if you're skinny, blonde and fit some standard media notion of beauty." I'm not...I never have been...and I never will be. It took me a long time to embrace my own beauty...and it's still easily shaken by too much fawning over the likes of 20 something stars.

That's just me...and I'm not saying anyone is wrong for liking what they like...I just choose not to hang around it and feel the thumb jamming that old button down, that's all.

AtLast...embrace those wrinkles...I have no doubt you earned them.

I guess I still don't understand this because I don't believe you should feel like this....

"you're only beautiful and desirable if you're skinny, blonde and fit some standard media notion of beauty."

People can crush celebrities all they want, its not like going their going to
end up with them. And the deal breaker is....just because they're gorgeous or famous, does in no way set a standard as to what is beautiful...at least not for me. I thought it was all in play, anyway, until it finally it came down to agreeing as to who was hot on the A-lists. Pretty people can't help being pretty physically. But.....

Who gives a shit? I don't.

Every body is attracted/attractive to somebody in this world...and for reasons beyond beauty. And there are dozens of them.

I'm sorry your sensibilities got knocked about.
If I were you, I'd go back in the thread anytime you want and let on that there's a tall, cool glass of water out there for you...because of you.

We all have feelings about ourselves and our bodies that may not be rational. It's easy to say we should or should not feel something. But we feel, none the less. And we have to respect that in ourselves and others.

I don't tell myself what I should feel. I ask myself why I feel it, and act accordingly. Like Jo, avoiding situations that make me feel bad about myself is my healthy response.

My crush is Queen Latifah in Set It Off. It was a female bank robber movie. She played an unapologetic butch, and she was AWESOME! I have yet to see Chicago. I hear she rocked that, too.

Reminder:

Please honor the purpose of this thread by posting your over 40 crushes. Keep in mind that we cannot "Police" desire, and that not everyone's desires are the same. Also, please try to be sensitive in your use of language, which can come across as sexist if we're not careful! Elizabeth Montgomery was my first crush as a child, watching Bewitched. As she aged, she became all the more beautiful to me.

Isabelle Rosallini makes my head swirl..the reaction is immediate and intense when I run across her in a film unexpectantly

Queen Latifa is HOT, as is Tracie Chapman.

If Kirstie Alley would just butch out already, I would ask her to marry me. Anyone who loves lemurs is ok in my book...

I love butches of size, too, and there just isnt any in the media (that I know of). The ones who have been in my life were very attractive to me. None of them were truly ok with their size. I was!

On a context note, I want to point out how it feels when you are the young blonde, slim, blue eyed porcelain skinned female in this country. My daughter is one of those. I worked HARD at getting her to not buy into the "desired image" of our culture. She hated that people saw her as that image and devalued me, her mother, who has always been plump, curvy, dark, olive skinned, and now, older and silver haired. She has always valued people for who they are and not what they look like and has had to battle those stereotypes...as well as people who unintentionally devalue her beauty because it IS the desired image. She loves to be beautiful and will advocate her right to be beautiful but also fights to include, not exclude anyone in the realm of beautiful...

she told me the other day, "Mo, you havent looked more beautiful than you do now"...wow...I was blown away...but I had to think it over and realized that she was right...and it was exactly how I felt about myself too!

I WANT a butch with wrinkles, and lovely looser skin, and silver in their hair. Youth feels so unfamiliar to me and I have no desire to lean against someone who hasnt dialed a rotary phone nor ever listened to 45s...the only dance I do nowadays are with those who treasure my aging process...

Love what your daughter said to you.

Also, I'm glad you brought this context up. I think many women that do fit the blonde, leggy , perfect body type are often viewed as dumb in our culture- the dumb blonde. And yes, tye devaluing goes much further.

My late partner's daughter is simply gorgeous and brilliant. Guess which attribute she continually was stereotyped as? LOL, she also was one hell of a feminist early on and not one to mince words. Yup, her Mamma taught her well!

Then we have the butch looks stereotypes..... ARGH!!

Soft*Silver
06-08-2010, 07:24 PM
yes, ALH, many women are placed in the "dumb blonde" category, equating beauty goes hand in hand with dumbness. Wrong wrong wrong. We all know that anyway. I can remember being in Denny's restaurant after an AA meeting with a bunch from the AA meeting. I had my then 8 year old daughter with me. One of the guys was going thru a divorce and was telling horrible women jokes. We women were uncomfortable and were looking at each other but no one spoke up. Well, until my daughter did. She looked up from her coloring book and said "your jokes are offensive to women. Please dont tell them anymore" and went back to coloring.

She hasnt changed much since then.

I got my strength from my mother, who could handle any tractor on the farm and still look like a beauty star out of a movie when she tried. She taught me all about business and how to deal with the logics of the world. So she was smart and pretty.

and my daughter got her strength from me. And she will pass it to her daughters...

in my family, the older females are revered as matriarchs. But the Bubas dont look like they use to anymore. Mine wore bubushka scarves on their heads and flowered dresses and thick hose tied up with those gawd awful rubber band type garters. Now, we wear Liz Claiborne and carry designer purses and yet we hold up our heritage as Bubas with pride. Maybe thats why I dont struggle with the aging process...I find aging powerful and exciting.

oh and by the way. mariska is IT! I forgot about her! HAWT! But she needs more weight on her...

There is something wildly intoxicating about a chiseled face (some might read that as wrinkles) with grey/greying hair on a butch/guy......and, when they open their mouths, and what I hear is intelligent, Gentlemanly, respectful brilliance, tempered with a good sense of humor and grace......and someone who gets me in all my quirkiness.......

THAT'S when I crush. Hard.

Dammit! Why can't my hair turn gray! What has turned just intermingles with the colors and I want to look distinquished! Plus gray/white hair adds lift.... ya'all have fun with that one!

yes, ALH, many women are placed in the "dumb blonde" category, equating beauty goes hand in hand with dumbness.

I love this!!! I have 2 Granddaughters that would be right behind her! I have to give kudos to my daughter-in-law and yes, my son! Also, both of the girls are very petite and now as teens get all the garbage about being fragile... Shit, both kick-butt on the soccer field and the older one is a gymnist and very physically strong.

oh and by the way. mariska is IT! I forgot about her! HAWT! But she needs more weight on her...

I think Mariska is going through cancer treatment. She has lost weight. I know, I am not one for stick-thin. Give me curves and few extra pounds is fine!! LOL... I have such a great time with her not only being the daughter of Jane Mansfield, but her father was the original Tarzan!!

A long time ago, in a place far far away, I had a serious crush on LPGA golfer Patty Sheehan. I convinced my partner at the time to go with me to a tournament to watch her play (early 90's). She reluctantly agreed.

So, there we were, in the miserable summer heat and humidity...my g/f as bored and irritated as she can be. But, oh, how I am enjoying stalking Patty Sheehan. We were at the tee, waiting for Patty to go, when I said something like, "isn't this great?!?!?" to which my g/f replied, "this is worse than having root canal...can't you stalk someone who plays baseball?" At that moment, Patty's girlfriend Rebecca whips her head around and glared at us.

i have never forgiven Chris Evert Lloyd for making those homophobic remarks back in the day -- even though she has since apologized and been stand up. But back then i was a tennis freak. My screen name is Martina for a reason. So no forgiveness from me for Miss Chrissy.

Hmm... I need to google Chrissy then to find out what she said (I remember something back then, but not sure what exactly...). I was a tennis freak back then too and would feel so torn when they would play each other...identifying with Martina as a masculine female and identifying with her style of play as a player myself (serve/volley - uncommon for a female), vs. the long time Chrissy favorite....

You have a point! Actually, my OP began with these sentiments in some ways. I am enjoying seeing older crushees all around we, but, are we (including me), still going for celebs?

In thinking about this, I think it is hard to post about real crushes that are about Planet people... it is for me other than members that are really friends or that I have good time reading what they have to say. Also, I know I think a lot about even using the word crush about femmes here I know are coupled. Some, not so much, because I actually know them and their partners and they know I have good boundaries. Sometimes its just hard.

I was thinking today about my real-time crushes of people around me that are not even queer, but who I admire and also might think are attractive. Those are kinda crushes. And I have been thinking about femmes here that a crush is again, about the content of what they post, or bring to the site. I have been touched by many people here.

I also started the thread because the other one seemed to have the perfect bodied, young, celebrity types that other than on TV or films, we wouldn't even be thinking about.

Then there is the whole age issue. I know that I feel that being older often feels that I am less sexy than, not as desirable as the younger butches. I'm sure older femmes feel the same way. Yet, as an older person, I know that the exterior is simply not the most important thing to me as far as possible romantic feelings. Then there all of the life stage elements that need to fit for me. For example, I'm retired and just have more leisure time than many younger people. I want to enjoy the freedom I have earned, so my dating is focused on femmes around my own age.

Hope this helps and addresses what you bring up. I would love a discussion about how we older folks view age within the community and especially relationships and dating. Believe me, I never thought I would be single at 59 and dating again. I've spent nearly 27 of my adult years (21 with one partner and 6 with another) with someone as a partner.

Yes... lets talk about that personal touch! A thread started by Heart on the old site about age and our cultural currency brought a whole lot of discussion out. As we age, what is really at the center of our crushes? Let’s do it! But, have fun, too!

For me, it's pretty simple: it's about whose picture I can find on Google (because it's fun to see photos). I think this is fun/fluff and am pretty sure this thread would be kind of boring/tedious if everyone came in and described the person at the local garden center they hope to see every time they go in to buy begonias but never do get to see except for the one time they forget they have a little crush and go early Saturday morning to avoid the rush, wearing a baseball hat and a really weird shorts/shirt combination, and....there she is: "can I help you?"

Absolutely! :rrose: Not exactly a crush, but...

When I was first figuring out this whole butch femme thing and was massively mega confused and conflicted about all kinds of stuff...I went one morning to a coffee house/cafe here...lesbian-owned and yummy food.

I was sitting there with my french press of coffee...feeling on the border (frankly) of massive depression...knowing I wasn't straight and didn't want men, feeling invisible to women...argh.

Sitting alone in my booth, staring at blueberry pancakes...hear the front door open. In walk two butches, talking...heading for breakfast...the second is tall, 50ish, chestnut brown hair with a little grey and beautiful blue eyes....looks at me, smiles, winks and says "good morning beautiful."

Oh yeah....I know those moments :)

While I am not (yet) 40, I have *always* crushed on older butches/TGs/FtMs. :rrose: Aside from one foray in to dating a younger butch (a cute "baby dyke"!), I have always dated older than myself.

It's the more mature butches/etc that catch my eye ~ they seem to have a certain swagger about them, a rough exterior but soft(er) on the inside. I like the chiseled look they have earned over the years, the salt & pepper or gray that colors their hair. :awww: Most I have found to be warm and funny, full of wisdom gained thru years of life experiences, and 'gentlemenly' like in their nature (manners and character, not old fashioned).

Currently I am seeing a wonderful, mature (well over 40) guy who embodies all of the above, and yes, I had a crush on him before we ever started talking. I think I'm the luckiest girl in the world! :stillheart:

Thank you AtLastHome, I do not, as a general rule indulge in crushes, and after 2 decades of fidelity and monogamy, have found myself back in the saddle of what appears to be total chaos. I am clueless about how one goes about meeting folks. Because i "look" str8, it seems I am invisible to butches.... which is why i took a chance and spoke to handsome Butch at HD...... he made it crystal clear, after giving me his card and saying "call me" that not only is he single, but sees me as funny, and ballsy, and it tickles him.....he spent 2 and a half hours personally escorting me throughout the store, showing and demonstrating and making valuable suggestions about my pet project..... and added at the end of my tour, "I'm working 80 hour weeks until the summer season is over, so don't have free time to have fun now, but I'm here almost everyday, come see me anytime."

It goes without saying that I will do just that..... am too busy myself right now to have much fun also.

It's just a shame that people that want that personal connection with someone who can carry a conversation, are so difficult to connect with..... I admit i have no idea how peeps connect online with any degree of success. Being a mature woman has baggage all on it's own. I personally struggle with image and health issues. Here in my town, peeps seem to be obsessed with working an excessive amount of time, and can not even commit to having a cup of coffee for 30 minutes. I would just at this point in my life like to find someone to sit with at a baseball game this summer. I don't want to complicate anyone's life, including my own, just looking for pleasant conversation, and an occasional meal we can share.

As a mature BBW I find it uncomfortable to consider an intimate relationship without establishing a long "get to know you" period. At this age and with my personal experiences it is difficult for me to trust on "sight". Looks have never been important to me, or how someone ids, I am looking at what you bring to the table, in terms of humor, compassion, passion for life, flexibility, willingness to learn and or change, and how our personal beliefs match up. Not looking for Mr. Perfect, am looking for Mr. Real..... surely there is one out there for each of us.

Physical attraction for me means, sound of your laughter, lots of laugh lines, crinkles around eyes, manners, respect, fidelity, monogamy, not how you look in a pair of jeans...... now not gonna lie and say "never" be interested in a hard body, cause i ADORE butch muscle, but at this stage is much harder to maintain, and I'm certainly not a hard body, am very soft.

A Butch with strong character is what is most attractive to me..... and of course always hopeful he is old school, and knows how to treat a Lady, and wants to be treated with respect, etc. also.

Didn't sleep well last night, more hormonal fun, so hope i'm makin' sense this AM

Always knew i wanted to be with women, but couldn't figure out how to find others like me..... came from military family so to ME, "masculine" women were ex-military and straight...... (laughin' at myself now!!) Friend pointed out several to me, NOW i know ..... lol

My celebrity crush. Tina Fey.

Brilliant, Hilarious, and I just have a thing for girls in glasses. :-) I love this picture because you can see her (rather large) facial scar where she was attacked by a man with a knife as a child.

My real-time crush is on a married woman here in this teeny tiny rural town. She is a former nun, married to a former priest. Another brilliant, hilarious, glasses wearing woman with a deep spiritual vein.

maybe it's just my mood tonight, or maybe the hormone alphabet soup is going bad this evening........

but I personally find it really disheartening to continually see that only the rich, famous, beautiful, powerful, fantasy people warrant a crush.....

why are mature regular women not crush material?

just thinking outloud, it's rhetorical.

my crush is at Home Depot, mature butch, with beautiful brown eyes, and dimples, quick to laugh, and was polite, and shook my hand in greeting...... ya, the personal touch
.....literally

i work as the Reference Librarian for "One of America's Top-Rated Smaller Cities" and i have huge crushes on our library director and our mayor...my work friends tease me b/c i always go to every corny city staff function so i can flirt with the mayor and i always grab the seat next to our director at every staff meeting and supervisors meeting and giggle shrilly at all of her jokes

they're both officially straight, husbands, etc but they are two of the butchest straight women ever to walk the earth

I want so much to post some pics of real time crushes, especially dog park friends... but, I almost got punched in the nose by a jealous husband of a woman I walk with there sometimes. Very, very weird!!! Came down to ... No, I am not fucking your wife. I don't fuck married, straight or bi women and I don't flirt with them. Operative word being married or just in a monogamous relationship.

It would be kewl to post those random crushees in everyday life, though!!

I have to say the pinnacle of crushing for me is a big sexy brain.
Be able to engage in witty repartee with me, argue logically, know random science trivia and enjoy things of complexity and depth and not get intimidated on a deep conversation on wherever our minds end up and I am crushing, hard. Crow's feet don't hurt either.

And just what does that mean, that little admission in the middle of "cute dog" remarks? You wanted to get a discussion going, I'm all up for discussion AtHomeLast....... so let us discuss....... what exactly are you saying here? I'm sensing that you may be feeling that you are "not all that", what is the "not all that" you are feeling? You are among anonymous online peeps here, we are just words on a screen, spit it out..... I'm notorious for doing that.....please feel free to join me......

Okay, I'll start. I decided last night to go to a local hangout for the Glbt community. Yes, i was nervous, i've been out the loop for a very very long time...... I stepped out of my usual comfort zone, and after trying my darndest for 2 hours, finally had to come to the conclusion, that single women, are not welcome in those venues.....All the women were paired up with butches, and made sure i knew that i was trespassing and getting too close to "their butch", all i did was ask if i could use one of the spare stools at their table that was not being used...., I needed to sit down, because of health issues......only young gay men said hello to me, and asked if i was having fun......i of course smiled my "thank you for asking smile" and said yes, and said "thanks for asking". The handsome male bartender bought my diet soda for me, cause i don't drink.

So I'm feeling that "I'm not all that" this morning, i managed not to cry when i got home, that's a first, but i'm sitting here re-evaluating what am i going to do with this information, the fact that single femmes are not welcome in places "reserved for couples and pre-established groups".

So now i'm back to, if I'm not welcome, how am i supposed to develop a network of butch and femme friends to hang with, have bbq parties, go camping, fishing, day trips, movies, baseball games, soccer games, get together on Sunday and have breakfast and shoot the breeze?......

So does this mean, that my ex is right? No one will ever love me? That my life as a partner is over? Life will continue to over look my rich personal history of loving and caring for others? That when my laugh lines became a permanent fixture on my face, the party was over? That my heavy breasts that fed two children are not worthy of attention? That my perfect size 6 firm hot body at 20 is the only thing i had going for me? My wit and humor and compassion for others means nothing? My cooking skills and gift for making you feel like a king are just gonna blow in the breeze, like fall leaves?

Good grief. After spending a life time developing my self into someone I can be proud of, this is all that awaits me?

Ya, l guess this is just rhetorical again this morning.... seems no one wants to really get into how they "really feel", i am just going to resign my self to the rest of the nameless faceless online fantasy world and stick to the fluff topics..... cause that's the only 'real' things worthy of discussion.

Gay bars are not for the past forty set, i find. i don't know how old you are, but they are dangerous places for the egos of older folks.

Lesbians are notoriously unfriendly to outsiders. (i know, i know . . . but it's mostly true).

It might not be easy to ease back in.

If you really want to date now, i would suggest a dating site or craigslist or whatever is available where you are.

If you want to meet people and get to know them, you are going to have to keep showing up until people get used to you. Bars would not be my first choice, but i don't know what else is available to you.

Also there will be slings and arrows and possibly drama. My best advice as someone who moved four years ago and had to reestablish community is YOU be picky. Don't bond with the first person who asks you to go shopping or hang out. See if you like them too.

It ain't fun getting back out there. i wish you the best of luck.

I posted this once, long ago, so despite the fact some peep will out me on this, here goes anyway.....

All I can offer is my self, standing here, naked before you, I have nothing to give but my love. Such as I am, flawed, imperfect, woman.. is that enough?

What is enough?

Enough is someone who can say, "here i am, such as I am, naked before you, I have nothing to give but my love, is that enough?"

To which i will say, "yes"

Everything else is about compromise, acceptance, tenderness, and understanding. :rrose:

Omfg, is that fabulous bbq place still there, the one with the giant copper smoker, hotter than hell inside, with the bbq sauce to freaking DIE FOR??????

My daughter was born in Bossier City, at Barksdale AFB, wow, does that take me back,,,,,, way way back.......

Well, i don't know where to hang here either, right now it's my front porch, alone with my dog, and the cool evening breeze. Grab a beer or something, we'll talk about the good ol' days when peeps actually came to your house and brought chips and beer, or soda, and told funny stories, and laughed our butts off.... you know, when people used to show up in person, not on a screen.... and bring their extra fresh crawfish or catfish to throw on the grill.....

Sorry, got really bad news about my health situation today, so am feeling really angry right now.... not doing a good job of hiding it am I? (w) That's what else sucks as we get older, your body betrays you, your mind says you are still a 20 something hottie, and the doc says, "now don't panic okay?, we can do something about this....." Ya, like i trust you after you say "don't panic"....

Yeah, I keep a dog bowl out front on my porch filled with water for all animals. Heck, I have a geico now. The little boy next door let the lizard out, and now he has mated, and boom. There must be about 4 little ones running around. Dino doesn't know what to make of them. He just sits and watches them.

I also keep water in the birdbath. The small birds are there all day long. And it is like the water cooler at work I guess. The chirpping that goes on - wow. They are noisy birds I have to say.

I love to sit outside around dusk time. It is so peaceful. Plus I hope for a slight breeze, smoking a cigar, and talking with someone, and drinking whiskey or coffee. Just a good place to be. My happy place.

It just occurred to me how funny it is that the most important things i remembered about LA is that fabulous bbq joint and having my daughter!!! rofl........*laughin' at myself*

After I was done laughin' i remembered how i hated takin' a shower and walking outside and feeling like i needed another one cause the humidity made me feel all slimey again....... good grief, don't miss that..... we lived in an all white neighborhood, lived there quite a while before i realized where i was living and why it was like that...... my dad was military, and i was raised blind to color differences, so was quite shocked to realize that the south in those days was segregated still.....I'm talking 1976 here. My BIL lived in Houma LA, lordy did i love going to visit him and his family, his wife was cajun and omg did i fall in love with Cajun folks, but boy ya better wear your stretch pants or hippy dress, cause everybody had to feed ya, and ya better eat a full plate, so's not to disrespect anyone, omg, i put on some weight living there!!! :seeingstars:

Good golly miss Molly, i sure miss being around simple happy folks, all that laughing and eating and kids running round squealing an' having fun........fishing, and swatting skitters and other flying critters..... don't miss those dang snakes though.......

I have been single for a couple of years now. I am content with this and am living a full, complete life as a single person. I believe we will compliment eachothers life not complicate it. I also come complete so I do not seek someone else to complete me.
I believe we will find eachother during an ordinary day while doing the things we both love doing. I have learned to nurture myself and I only get wiser with each passing year. Adversity is a great teacher, but the past belongs in the past. I learn the lesson and move on. I believe in friendship caught fire.

I have always crushed on Martha Stewart. Even before she was into French Bulldogs! Love her reserved mystique... have no idea why I always have been attracted to reserved women. Kind of strange as I come from a loud Latin based background! Maybe it is a yin-yang thing...

I always had a thing for Martha. But, oh quite a few years ago now, I was staying (in Hamptons) where you could overlook Martha's digs from the upstairs. I saw her screaming and chasing her daughter around the car in the driveway and it kind of soured me on her. She is sexy though, in that Usher song kind of way. ("Baby, I can break you down....")

Oh..... this story hurts! Damn! I have always liked the fact that she is self-made and not from a monied family at all- quite the opposite. And she just has that Mona Lisa smile along with the allure of "what is behind the glasses" librarian thang! I am one that is much more attracted to subtle carriage of themselves in women. "Hints" of what lies beneath.... subtle clothing, make-up, conversation that makes me want to get to know her better, etc. The leaving things to one's imagination and her knowing she is quite special and not open to just anyone!

Oh yeah!

The only reason I ever looked into Tilda Swinton was because I was dating this babe who had The Palest Skin I have ever seen. Not long after we met, I had to ask, "Um, are you, like, Dutch or sumpin'"? (Smooth, huh?)

Later, after we got together, I used to tell her I would make her a shirt that said, "I am not tired or sick or about to faint" because people were always asking her! One time someone said, "Oh, Diana, you look so good without make-up," and she said, "I'm wearing make-up. I spent 15 minutes putting on make-up today."

Ok, anyway--I showed her Tilda Swinton in some of her... paler... roles. Diana said she felt she'd at least met someone else "Dutch"....

It's not about her looks, it's about her attitude. The look in her eyes makes me me want to do things to her, and i think she'd like to take it.

Attitude and carriage.... two attributes that really are at the heart of any attraction I feel toward another woman.

I don't get crushes on celebrities, I get crushes on women I see in-person.

So I was considering going out to the club tonight, becuase it used to be a place where you could see hundreds of crushable women. *wistful sigh*
But tonight I remembered that if I went out, the younger people would probably think I was a chaperone.
No crushes for me tonight. So sad! I wish we (now older) lesbians still moved in packs like we did in the 80s!
