A cooling pad for my laptop to keep at the office.
I have one at home but don't carry it around and have never gotten one for my desk at the office. Instead, I just prop it up on the spine side of a 3 ring binder and hope that's enough air flow.

I recommend getting an electric drill instead. I have one and I love it. I have carpal tunnel, so twisting my wrists isn't good....no power to speak of and lots of pain. With the drill I can drill a thin guide hole, then use the screwdriver attachment on the drill to screw in the screw. Much easier and takes less ummph. :)

Mine is a Ryobi HP721K (I just peeked :) ) and it was inexpensive and has lasted for years.
You don't need a heavy one...and I'm sure there are better ones out there now. I just went to Home Depot and started asking questions. They let me try several and this one felt good to me.

A bass boat is flatter than a walleye boat. After that, it's all how you set it up.

Sorry for the derail, folks...
Bit - the oven might be a simple fix. Ours was fritzy until the lower element caught fire one day (luckily we were in the kitchen when it happened). Bought the replacement element online for less than $20 and it was an easy replacement - couple screws. I think we still need to replace the upper element, but am holding off in hopes of a new macdaddy gas range for our Christmas prezzie!

I should have one of those voice recognition thingies for my computer, but I don't.
Has anyone ever used one? good? bad?
Depends on your microphone set-up. Voice recognition is part of the newer versions of Windows--did you know that? It's under accessibilty tools (or ease of access) in the accessories. What I have found is that one has to have a good microphone to make it work properly; if the mic doesn't pick up your voice clearly, the computer will make a ton of mistakes. The one that had me the most frustrated was when I said "it's a slow process" and the computer typed "this low profit" SIX times in a row. It wasn't the computer's fault; the microphone's limitation caused that.

Hey Bit a bunch of years ago I used to have one like the Nesco oven and it worked great. You can bake and roast in them but at first it's a bit of trial and error on the timings as they cook faster than a regular oven. I recommend getting the "extender rings" as they allow you to cook much bigger items.

I am currently enrolled in college on-line, part-time and only taking two classes to get into the swing of it, but I've got it going on! :hangloose:

Don't worry. In 20 (er, 10...maybe 5) years, none of us will have an ocean to swim in! :| We'll all be in the same boat, so to speak.

Except for being here via my local library every Saturday morning, I've been living mostly off grid, and digging it, but my radio broke, and I really should get another one. Also, I really should have another wood-burning stove.

The freedom and money to travel all over the world.
It is a dream to visit many countries, cultures and people. We do have plans for some fun trips this year and i am surely looking forward to it!!!! It would be nice to do this ALL the time!!!

Ha, ha, same boat...good one.
Oddly enough that isn't as comforting as one might think.
But even if I can't swim in it, I still want to be near it.
The future, so much is going to change. Not much to do about it now I guess.
Take my love, take my land
Take me where I cannot stand
I don't care, I'm still free

I have always been someone who is happy with what she has, for example i wouldn't even have an iphone if my LG Chocolate phone hadn't burned out it's speakers after several years.
The only thing i would love to have, is good health.

Among some of the more mundane things currently missing from my life are forks and spoons. Every time I go to the store, I forget utensils and once I'm outta there I'm definitely not going back in for that.
So, I cook and eat, lol, with a giant rubber spatula given to me for free by my utility company, two butter knives, and I have like 20 chopsticks.
Anything that requires more surface area to successfully make it into my mouth necessitates the use of the aforementioned giant rubber spatula as a spoon surrogate. And I have to really stretch out my mouth to get it around the edges of the spatula - think snake unhinging its jaw to dine, lol - which the thought of that makes me laugh.
I use the two butter knives together like a pair of tongs.
Chopsticks for anything that can be speared, skewered, stirred, or used like a normal person employs a pair of chopsticks.
lol, so am I a barbarian or what? I should have put this in the living alone is making me weird thread.
