Oh me too!
Favorite all-time episode is from the first series. "Devil in the Dark"
"Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor not a concrete layer."
I loved Picard because Patrick Stewart is incredibly sexy.
Best Villain--hmmm, that's tough one. I think I'll have to go with Harry Mudd even though he wasn't exactly a villain per se. More like a really annoying neighbor.
Irritating character? Sorry, but Tasha Yar really started getting on my NERVES.
Plots that drove me crazy. I was so over the whole "who is Deanna Troi sleeping with today" and the "Janeway" love line with what's his tattooed-face.

I LOVED the "Trouble with Tribbles" episode!
Favorite Captain" Picard, most definitely!
Best Villain: Khan was pretty evil :)
Most irritating character: It's a toss-up between Quark and Captain Kirk (BLASPHEMY!)
Plots that drove me crazy: Pretty much anything involving 7of9

I LOVE both of you!
7of9 and Yar....def most annoying, although Q...ditto
Picard - always and forever. I met his cousin on a cruise years ago and they look identical. just sayin'
Fav episode - TNG when Picard's mind gets taken over by that civilization who's sun burned up, so they sent out a probe with that picalo instrument. I loved it because as we know there isn't much Homefront happiness for Picard, and in his memories at least, this episode gave him a full life, with a wife, children, and grand children. I just thought he deserved it.
I tended to like the villians that messed with Troi's head. LOL And love the Borg, didn't think of them as villians, just a curious life form.
And Plots that drove me crazy...pretty much anything that involved Q.

My favorite episode is actually the movie Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. It's a great insight into what can happen to future generations if animals go extinct. Anddddddd I LOVE hearing Mr Spock CUSS!!
Favorite Captain: Jean-Luc Picard....hands DOWN!
Best Villian: Q
Most Irritating Character: Those Klingon sisters, the Duras. They make me wanna cut my own throat with a bat'leth!
Plots that drove me crazy: None that I can think of,although ALL of Deep Space Nine's plots bored me.
And just an aside, I LOVE the Vulcan philosophy of IDIC, Infinite Diversity Infinite Combinations, because it reminds me of OUR community!
Favorite episode? I liked the episode where the women took those pills to make themselves beautiful - but they were placebos - and the women still became beautiful. And I liked the episode where they run into a Greek god on some planet and he wants to be worshipped. I like all the old episodes really - and all the next gen episodes too. except maybe when tasha got killed by the blob.
Favorite Captain?
I heart Picard, but I love the Kirk/Spock combo way too much.
Best Villain? I liked Data's holodeck moriarty
Most irritating character? Harry Mudd?
Plots that drove you crazy? Not sure any of them did really. :)
Oh, I love the space hippie cult :)

So what did everyone think of the most recent movie where they messed with the Star Trek storyline? Did you love it? Hate it?

You mean the one with young Kirk? You mean where they did the wierd thing with his dad and how he died, etc? I don't know the Kirk background, so I didn't notice any storyline changes. Please enlighten me and I will gladly enter into a lively debate.

So many changes.
1. Kirk's father is killed (he lives to a ripe old age in the original series.)
2. The Spock/Uhura loveline (I adored that! Did you know that the actress who played Uhura played the Navi female lead in Avatar?)
3. Spock Prime being the catalyst for it all
They can go so many different places with this storyline now. I think they freed themselves from having to copycat the first series.
Oh Medusa? For hating Jim Kirk?
You.
Are.
Going.
To.
HAVE. (weird gesture)
To.
Turn.
In.
Your. (is my penis showing through my uniform? good)
Card. (pensive head on the fist move)
Spock is my favorite character in the movie. I didn't watch the series but my mom didn't miss an episode.

Okay. That's what I thought, but like I said, I never followed Kirk's history much. But I didn't think that was how he had died. And Yes the Uhura relationship was fascinating. I actually liked Kirk in this one a little.

*twitch*
Jim Kirk looks like he would have a butt full of dinglerberries. :seeingstars:
And why did they cut a part for him from the new movie but keep Spock in? Is it because Spock is Teh Awesome and William Shitner is not? Hmmmmmmmmm.!
