A pretty sophisticated woman. Kind of flies in the face of the stereotypes we have been presenting here on the site about former separatists.

She was an amazing brilliant and beautiful woman. May the fairies carry her swiftly to Avalon. May she dance among the apple blossoms.

People from all walks of life, belief systems, can and do evolve. Who we are and what we believe does not always stay static. If we are human, most likely in some fashion we have hurt another, with or without intention.

Writers are teachers. She helped inspire and educate. She helped shape what are culture has become today. We loose a light, a gift, today. Im glad she left her words behind. Passion for women, for womens stories, for lesbian stories, lesbian lives and history, this is precious.

Jill was a trailblazer and a visionary. She brought a great deal to the development of feminism and to furthering the causes of lesbians. I miss leaders like that.
