but sometimes you just have to buck up and do it.
afixer walks into her local higher end department store and has to wander around for awhile to even find "ladies intimates" because it was tucked away in some back corner of the store.
she is stunned to find that there now seems to be several hundred styles (we're talking panties right now) of which to choose from.
so she starts flipping through the racks knowing exactly what she's looking for and everything but what she looking for is on that rack.
no biggie there are four more.
*enter very prim and proper older sales lady*
"may I help you find something sir?" says this lovey woman.
"well maybe you can. I'm looking for a certain cut or style of panties or some boyshorts underwear." says afixer
"what size is the person that you looking for?" says she.
"it really depends on how the label sizes as to what size I am.
it can be anywhere from 10-14 or large and extra large you know it just varies." says afixer
"I think we have what you're looking for over here." says sweet, sweet woman.
so I follow her over to this rack and start looking around while she's blabbering something.
I found a few pair and was looking at them and then look at her and say "these look like what I'm looking for."
now that she has my attention she shows me her picks which were shot down 1,2,3.
"see if you can find more of this type style in my size." says afixer
"what do you think your size is?" says sweet woman
" I told you earlier that it depends....blah,blah." says afixer
afixer just stands there and waits for the bell to ring.
*DING*
afixer watches the sweet woman's head twitch as the bell rang.
she then re-racked my rejected panty picks and got to work looking for what I'd requested.
she presented me with several more choices that were decent but the wrong size.
I asked for large on two of the five pair she brought and walked over to my favorite section...bras
thinking, hoping I can find exactly what I'm looking for before she finds me.
I score a good running bra on sale quickly and move over to the more practical day to day bras when she appears with the large size I'd asked for.
" I was only able to find two in large from the ones you liked but we get stuff in everyday if you want to come back some other time." says woman
"thank you ma'am, these will work fine." says afixer
"what else may I help you with this morning?" says woman
" I just need one more bra and I'm done thanks." says afixer
"what style/size are you looking for?" says woman
"I'm a 36 B or C depending on....." says *afixer interupted*
"where, what!?" says woman
afixer starts spacing out in order not say something completely smartassed to this woman when I feel her hand on my arm and she's spinning me so that I'm facing her.
I'm thinking the absolute worst thoughts in this moment as this very sweet, sweet woman begins patting around my shoulders.
"have you ever had your chest measured before?" says woman
*sighs*
"yes ma'am I have. again the size depends on...." says afixer
now this woman's hands are on my breast but not in a bad way.
I stepped back and unbuttoned the shirt I was wearing and took it off leaving me standing there in a very tight silk undershirt and very loose jeans.
that sweet woman stood there looking me up and down for a long minute.
"nobody would ever know you had a body like that under those clothes you're wearing." says woman who is now beaming from ear to ear
"thank you ma'am." says afixer
<snip>
this is where I have to end my story...I am tired and have to work the next three nights.
I must say though I left with everything I went shopping for.
and the sweet, sweet woman that I thought had me all wrong, had me all wrong.
just not in the way that I thought she did.
it was my hang-ups that made me see her all wrong.
lesson learned. :)

I can say, I truly do not understand the need to do this. It's just such a pointless, not necessary means to hurt and embarrass someone, when you just don't have to.
Some friends have seen it for what it is, and some have followed right along. It's been very interesting to see. I have learned a lot. And am rather shocked by some of the ones that are right there with hym.
Lesson learned, experience had, hope to never do this again.

I really don't like to take off work if I am scheduled to be there. I have had a toothache since Sunday. I did not sleep Sunday night. Went to work yesterday telling myself it would quit hurting. It is easy to ignore pain if I am very busy. Last night, same thing but I did sleep for about three hours. Finally pushed through my denial this morning after I got to work. Decided I could not go another day without regular sleep. Made the appointment and my dentist worked me in. He irrigated the tooth, x-rayed it, gave me some antibiotics and pain pills. He said he thought I must have had a food particle trapped in the gum because the xrays were fine. I am tempted to go back to work this afternoon but I took a pain pill - which I hate that goofy feeling pain pills give me. Best not to drive. I am stuck here at home and won't have the energy to accomplish anything. :(
I think I will end up taking a nap with the pooch. She is all happy for a couple of reasons. First, I am home with her. I meant go by the pet store and get her a bag of Merrick and a bag of Science Diet after work yesterday but didn't make it. I was much too exhausted from lack of sleep. The second reason she is so happy is because I scrambled her eight eggs for breakfast. I put evaporated milk and shredded cheese in there to make them extra tastey. Heck, now that I typed it out loud, come to think of it, Kelly had a cheese omelet for breakfast, right? This little bully mix I adopted from the Humane Shelter is so apprecitive of the extra things I do for her. It always shows in the expressions in her face and her displays of affection.
Feeling a bit w-h-o-o-z-y from the vidodin pain pill I took. Whoozy is okay but it is the ensuing goofy feeling that will follow in a little while that makes me not like taking pain pills. I hate it! I should have asked the pharmacist to please hold the goofy. LOL!
Wishing a pleasant day to everyone here at the Planet.

I am really not liking this AT&T laptop connection. It is so frustrating. At times it is quick as lightening and others times it is slow as mud. Need to look into getting DSL here at home when I get time.
Depending on the day and time, I find difficulty just getting on the Internet - regardless of speed. Yes, I have spent a lot of time on the phone with AT&T technical support. Yes, I upgrade my ACM AT&T communications software as required. I won't be calling them again. Calling AT&T is silly non-sense and a total waste of my time. It is not my computer nor my AT&T datastick, nor a faulty USB connector. My flashdrives and any other peripherals function perfectly when inserted into any of the three USB connectors on this laptop.
Does anyone else have gripes about their AT&T wireless laptop connection?
My opinion:
AT&T has gotten too big for their britches and sold more services than they can accomodate. What is the saying? Greed is the root of all evil?
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Rain here has cooled it down outside a bit and I am so grateful for that. :)

You can do it. I promise you it will be one of the best things you've ever done. It's 13 weeks tomorrow since I gave up smoking and I'm a 33yr heavy smoker - if I can do it anyone can. I did get help however and took a tablet called Champix (verenicline) which really really helped as did one of the plastic inhalator things too, it provided something to satisfy the hand-to-mouth/oral habit instead of food. The first week or two are the worst after that it gets easier. I still get the odd craving but am quite used to dismissing them now despite being in the midst of a hormonal melt-down - stress is not a reason to start smoking again!
I would be very happy to lend a (cyber) ear if you want to chat/vent about it. Good Luck!

I've tried talking to the career development people about it and they said that paperwork is likely to happen in the beginning but come on now, its mindless and boring to say the least. It sure is a waste, and they grade you on it too. getting an angry email from the ex.......
all this time, she has been nice and i thought things were going good.
then out of the blue i get a pissed off email, because i called her sweetie in a text. i'm sorry. i am hurt too, and this just takes the cake.
i'm sorry i hurt you, i'm sorry you are angry, i'm sorry things didn't work out like we had hoped.
and it is still never good enough for you.........
well you know what... "sweetie"?
you can think what you want if it makes you sleep better at night.
i was sooooo excited to get that house with you. i busted my arse to make sure we had the money down. i worked my ass off to get the house painted and fixed up. i cooked and cleaned and mowed and did laundry and paid my bills. i did any and everything i could to mke our lil happy home. and all i got was shit for it.
i was there with you 100% til the end, but i could never count on you to be there for me. now you are angry because i was trying to be nice.
well fuck it. you will get whatever i owe you, then you will not be bothered with me again.

making phone calls!
here is how much i don't like making phone calls- i came in at noon because it is my day to close the library. I had a note that an exhibitor had come by and i needed to call him and an e-mail that i needed to call HR on the status of the study guides i ordered for the police.
i seriously considered offering to take a whole hour of my junior assistant's reference desk duty in exchange for her making the calls!!!!
i hate making phone calls so much that i have my office phone line forwarded to my cell phone- and i will answer it anytime, anywhere- because that means i will never have voice mail and never have calls to return!

feeling like I'm choking on all the words I want to say, but can't.
being expected to fix it all
being told to take my medicine just because I'm having a bad day
checking my email and finding nothing but junk
I don't like lengthy explanations and details in a conversation. I don't have the patience. So when people who have that tendency start telling me something, I tell them to give me the short version. And the thing that I really don't like are rude, constant interruptions or talking over me while I'm speaking to them.
Sometimes, I just hang up, or tell them I have a call I have to take or just put the phone down and come back every now and then and say uh huh....

Cheaters (especially those that have admitted to cheating and then accuse another of cheating).
Two-faced people.
People that use another for their patience and understanding. To the point of abusing it.
People that form an opinion of another off gossip without getting to know the person they are hearing gossip about.
People that take sides in a break-up without knowing the other person's side to why the breakup happened.
People that cross another's boundaries, when the boundaries have been clearly stated and/or defined.
People that abuse their power.

Hi OrganicButch-
Your post was reported for moderation. The use of the word "chicks" in your post feels sexist and I am hoping you didn't mean it that way. Although the word "chicks" may not bother you, this word has been used by some as a slang for women, often in a demeaning or belittling context.
Please remember when posting to think about the words you choose in the context of your audience.
If you need more clarification, feel free to PM me.

Being judged! Or judging others. Or being treated as less than because of how old a person is, or that they have children, because they came out later in life, or their spiritual or religious beliefs, or level of education, or their financial status, hair color or any of the many petty things people judge each other by. I think character, honesty, truthfulness, ability to trust and be trustworthy and kindness should be the first concern when getting to know someone either for friendship or more that than that. No one is perfect and no one gets out of this life in perfect condition either.

Laughs, I understand that!
Or
Have someone tell you the same joke over and over cuz you're not laughing and they think you don't get it! Finally, I have to tell them I get it! I just don't think it's that funny or as funny as you apparently do, chuckles.

My computer telling me "CRITICAL ERROR, CAN'T FIND HARD DRIVE, HARD DRIVE ERRORS, NO SPACE FOUND ON HARD DRIVE...."
:explode: :explode: :beatcomputer: :beatcomputer: :beatcomputer:
Computer Owners, BEWARE.....Possible Online Scam
While online last night - out of the blue- I received a pop up "Java License Agreement".... I thought it was a hoax, so I clicked "do not agree"....it proceeded to tell me that if I didn't agree, that all my files and programs "may not work unless you agree to the Java License Agreement User Terms".... so I sat there and read several pages of the Terms....nothing seemed out of place, so I thought this may be a Java update process? I hit agree, not wanting to loose files or access to programs. POOF!!! Out of no where, a "Quick Defrag" icon appears on my desktop and then all the crazy error messages about NO HARD DRIVE FOUND, CRITICALLY LOW DISK SPACE, CRITICAL ERRORS FOUND ON HARD DRIVE, MUST RUN DEFRAG.... (it really had me believing that I had major system problems and was about to loose my hard drive :bigcry: :bomb: :brainsucker: but when I checked my "system", it told me I had 190 GB free of 223 GB...:wtf: that didn't show low disk space, I was really befuddled then!)
I have NEVER seen this "Quick Defrag" icon or function on my computer before..... but I thought it had something to do with my System and Security Alerts? OHHHHHH I WAS SO WRONG!! I hit the defrag button, it quickly ran through a few "system errors found" and FAILED nearly every one.... then , here's the catch, it said I needed an ADVANCED DEFRAG and that I MUST PURCHASE the Advanced plan!!! At that point, I knew I'd been had!!! This was a scam and it appears I'd been hacked with some malicious software, etc (sorry, I'm not a skilled Tech like Linus or Orgranic....just a pissed off computer owner) It appears to be a scam to get your personal information and checking account info, etc. I'm not sure, but what I am sure of is all this crap happened AFTER I agreed to the Java License Agreement pop up window.... I refused to purchase anything, and proceeded to trouble shoot all these damn Critical Errors and everything shutting down on me. The Quick Defrag kept telling me that the only way to fix things was to PURCHASE their Advanced Plan. I was in panic mode, thinking my hard drive was crashing.....(don't get me started on the "Extended Warranty" from Best Buy which seems to be a "Gotchyer $80 and Ran With It" Plan!)
Well, my smart Roomie reminded me that I could "Restore" my computer to an earlier time. I did this, and low and behold! It removed that damn Quick Defrag thing.... and so far, I haven't had a problem. NOOOOO critical errors makes for a very happy Sweet. Thanks to a smart Roomie!!....who knows I just wanted to dump my coffee all over my computer and run over it with his truck!
I just wanted to warn everyone of the possible scam to get your information and checking/credit cards. It appears to be nothing but a scam and there was NEVER anything wrong with my hard drive. I hope no one has to deal with the frustration and :beatcomputer: that I did to find this out.

Virus. It sounds like a virus and likely got onto your system via a cookie or in the shadows of other, legitimate software on your system. Once it's cleaned off, you should be fine. Just be careful where you go online and what you click on. FB and Myspace are notorious for transmitting them.
You are absolutely right, though. The goal is to get your information. Good for you for not doing it.

...people who lock doors that are supposed to stay unlocked
...people who eat EVERY single piece of candy and/or snacks in my cubby at work when I'm not there for a few days
...people who leave dirty spoons on the desk in my office
...etc etc, the list could go on and on, especially after coming in to an office torn all to hell after being out a few days

That sucks. :( That's why we buy our timeshares from eBay, for like $1...lol We currently have a very nice one that we only pay $300 per year maintenance fee and usually with enough notice there's always availability other than our 2 scheduled weeks.
In other news, I really don't like being sick. Make it go away please...
