Can't seem to be able to place a custom avatar. Can anyone help with this?

Welcome to the Planet! As for custom avatars, you cannot use one until you are a paid BFP Supporter II (see here (http://www.butchfemmeplanet.com/index.php?pageid=subscriptions) for details)
