Cartoonist Gabby Schulz proves, once and for all (?) that sexism on the Internet exists. (http://feministing.com/2010/11/04/comic-about-discussions-of-sexism-on-the-internet-provokes-anti-feminist-backlash-proves-its-own-point/)

Gabby Schulz created a comic response to a discussion on sexism (http://www.gabbysplayhouse.com/wp-content/doodles/sexism-all.jpg) witnessed on Twitter.

Gabby then wrote a short post (http://www.gabbysplayhouse.com/?p=1444) and put the comic online. Then came the comments (http://www.gabbysplayhouse.com/?p=1444&cpage=1#comments).

Then the Men's Rights movement showed up and things got really interesting. Where in Gabby was called an over-reacting, man hating lesbian who could not possibly have luck with men.

Which, aside from really driving home the sexism point, is problematic because Gabby (http://www.gabbysplayhouse.com/?page_id=3) is not a woman.

Wow. Just, wow. This is really disgusting. I feel sick now. I feel despair about the lack of decency of a significant portion of the male species. I wonder how these guys would feel if they knew Gabby was a dude?? Would they then call him a fag instead of a dyke?

*shakes head*
