Drives me crazy that they don't turn their head lights on when it's raining or snowing...
It's a Law in Minnesota.
It's an ignored law here in NC too.
During my daily commute I see texting, eating, shaving, make-up application, dancing (as much as one can while driving) and my personal favorite - reading the newspaper, books and magazines - all at 55+ mph.
How bout clogging up the passing lane and not passing anyone?
makes me crazy when the old southern folks pull out in front of you then drive under the speed limit.

When drivers panic, freeze up at Roundabouts or they ignore traffic rules such as the vehicle that reached the intersection first enters into the flow of traffic first. If one or more vehicles arrive at the intesection at the same moment, the vehicle to your right, goes first. (The same is true for conventional intersections with stop signs.)
"Roundabouts require traffic to circulate counterclockwise around a center island. Unlike Traffic Circles, roundabouts are used on higher volume streets to allocate right-of-way between competing movements."

But I hate when asshole drivers act like I am ruining their lives by crossing the street when they want to turn right. Pedestrians have the right of way. Get over it.

Bicyclist that ignore traffic laws such as cycling through red lights and stop signs. Then wonder why they are getting hit.
Before all the bicyclist pop, I also am troubled by drivers that do not look in the mirror to be sure it is clear and a bicyclist is not coming down the road before they open the door of the parked car and injure or kill a bicyclist.

I have some friends that live in SF that don't drive (I love our rapid transportation where I live and use it often) and that have almost been hit by this very thing many times! One of them carries a frozen water bottle to whack cars when this happens! I don't blame him at all! And it certainly has made me think more when I do have to drive into SF (but less and less often as I have been using public transportaion more and more).
I just have to master the connecting buses better and soon I will not ever have a reason to drive into SF from the East Bay! Even for medical appointments.
What, you can't hold on for a few seconds to let people get across the street completely? Just one more example of how self-centered people can be and lack courtesy as far as I'm concerned!
As a driver, the crazy people that drift into my lane ahead of me with about two inches between us make me nuts! And they seem to just zoom along doing this for miles on freeways here.
LOL, I am plain tired of rudeness most of the time, driving or not. We all live here! Your needs are no more important than mine!
Honestly, I like driving less and less. No parking worries, more exercise and it is a way to get more acquainted with neighborhoods and other are4as outside of where I live. Savings, too!
Been thinking more and more of how I am tired of the hustle and bustle here, anyway. I want a slower pace where people actually talk with one another.
With their right signal on, they make a wide turn to the left first, then continue making the right turn or vice versa .

It makes me nuts. Lately I have found myself kicking my truck around them w-a-y too much as soon as I can see enough room to pass. I am a good driver but I need to quit blowing it out just because I am frustrated at them going too slow on my clock.

I love to drive
I love to go the absolute correct speed limit
when the idiot behind me thinks getting closer will make me move faster
it won't
but it will tempt me to tap my breaks:|
I love to look at people who want to get out into traffic or change lanes
but fail to use their turn signal

I have also found that a bit of weaving down the road
will get people off your tail (I drive home from work late at night)

When someone starts following too closely, i'll just take my foot off the gas and start coasting.
If they back off i'll continue on my way. If they don't, we'll both be going about 2 mph quickly.

i do this on purpose (not on the highway)
drive next to another car
so a jackass trying to pass can't
if one is just passing fine
if 15-20 cars are at a red light
in two lanes
and the speed limit is 35
and said jack ass has bobbed and weaved muliple times in .5 mile
I will block said ass
as pointed out in the zombie thread I can be an ass
They insist on being on the road,
at the same time I am.

I recently moved to a big city. It's my first, so learning how to maneuver around has been quite interesting. But, the one thing (aside from the traffic) that has me baffled, is emergency flashers. I live in LAND of Bicycles. It is kind of a crazy phenomenon. I mean, I think it is a good thing...cheaper, good exercise, good for the planet, etc. However many cyclists here believe they are 'above the law', frequently breezing through stop signs, flying out of blind corners, NOT using the bike lane when there is one (which they are many here in Portland). How do they expect to get the respect of walkers and drivers when they don't obey the laws?!

I live in LAND of Bicycles.
Our town and surrounding roads are very popular for bicyclists - distance riders train here and off-roaders use trails all over the hillsides - so folks drive in from all over to ride here. It's a friggin' nightmare of hundreds of people in little packs wearing gaudy bright skintight bicycle outfits, outfits so horrid that they make plaid golf pants look good. The town is two lane roads (many with bike lanes) and four-way stops at every intersection. Almost without fail, the two-wheelers assume they are above the law and cruise right through every stop sign, and they ride down the middle of the side roads so that you're stuck behind them. Fucking pain in the ass, every last one of them.

When I drive in North Jersey it is very different then in South Jersey. After I go over the Bridge is when the attitudes change. They are far more aggressive in the North. I have to change my whole attitude. It is stressful at times. I grew up in North Jersey so I have to go back watching all the other drivers around me. My Mom always said I do not worry about the way you drive it is the other person.

Signals are not a part of the *additional options package*... When driving in Denver using your signal only gives the other drivers cause to speed up... and let them know that you wish to be a willing participant in a game of bumper cars... Better yet, those people that think that they can just squeeze in when they have known for the last five fricken miles that the lane they are in is going to end...

People who don't put there lights on in the rain or snow, are endangering their lives if they plan on passing a tractor trailer. Reason is this, all we have is our mirrors to see you, we can't turn around and look out the back window or side window. When it's raining those big tires spray alot of water upward , plus are mirrors are wet and dirty with rain, if you are trying to pass us with no lights on, all we see is the curtain of waterspray from our tires, you blend in with it like a perfect camouflage. Until you drive through the curtain of waterspray (somewhere around the front of the trailer) we can't see you and could very likely try to change lanes right over the top of you. However, if you had your lights on, we would have seen you a half a mile before you reached the rear of the trailer.
Any time a car and a tractor trailer tangle , the car usually loses. Badly! That's why it's a law. To protect you !!!! And I don't know any professional drivers who want to be involved in a wreck of any kind, let alone a fatality wreck. That's one memory I can live with out.

A couple of days ago, I had some big ole honking truck go from a gas station on the right of the road and go straight across to the farthest turning lane on the left. He's lucky as Hell that the light was red and we were all slowing down. If my brakes weren't as good, I would have T-boned HIM.

All the ignorant drivers that tic us off, aren't going away any time soon, so we might as well suck it up and try to keep a level head. Sometimes I think I have seen it all in the 22 years I've been a professional driver. But then something new occurs and I wonder WHAT THE .... I have watched highway patrol cars pass me with the trooper typing away on his laptop. BTW we can see everything you are doing in your car . I mean everything! We can see every empty candy wrapper on your floor board, every stain on your seat, even what radio station you are listening to. If you pass a tractor trailer trust me, they are checking you out.

Ok, so just got home. Was on way to my second job and driving through my neighborhood. Snow on ground.
I am driving slowly along and some guy, not looking, coming up to the intersection I am crossing over just keeps going...looking straight ahead....not looking over at me at all...I am blowing my horn and slamming on my brakes and start sliding...and it was like slo mo....
So, he hits me. Lovely.
What is interesting is that when someone hits me I never actually get angry. And what is even more interesting is that this guy, just like the last person who crossed in front of me didn't even apologize. They're just like hey, yeah, guess we should call the cops, huh?
Ugh.
Unfortunately, there is no stop sign for this intersection, but the whole neighborhood operates as if the road I am on is the "right of way" road (and looking at the roads anyone would guess that). But, since there are no stop signs, no one is at fault per cop.
The guy also had a passenger in his car that the cop ended up handcuffing and putting in the back of his car. I have no idea what the deal was with that, but I do know that I had to wait there start to finish for two hours while the cop was doing whatever he was doing in his car. Insane.
ETA: Yes, I am fine, as was the other driver and passenger.

Those that plug up a driveway, instead of pulling into the turn lane and working into traffic.
OMG was stuck forever behind a car that wanted to wait until not a car was in sight. (not happening in my hood...LOL) They Missed about 20 ops to pull out. Cars lined up behind me all honking.
Then to top it off the car was stopped in middle of 2 lanes so no traffic could pull out in either direction. OOOYYYYYYYYYYY
There are drivers that shouldn't be on the road.
This evening, I was picking up some Chinese food. I was making a left-hand turn into a parking lot. There was a woman, waiting to turn left out of the parking lot. As I started the turn, the woman, completely oblivious to me, made her turn, almost hitting me. I had to veer over into the other lane to avoid being hit, all the while sitting on my horn. The woman was completely non-plussed. She just looked ahead and continued out into traffic. I sat there for five minutes, wishing I'd taken her license plate number. This was right across from a senior center, and she was obviously not appropriate to be driving.

Apparently the four way stop was not intended to be an orderly form of traffic management but a big giant clusterfuck where everyone's main goal is to go before the person who truly has the right of way at any given time. The most common way of insuring this happens is to just follow the car in front of you and go when they go. Even if you are the third car back. Extra points if the person who actually has the right of way is attempting to turn left in front of you because we all know that every vehicle at any intersection within a three mile radius has the right of way before anyone turning left. Ever.

When someone drifts over to the right lane from a double left-hand turn lane- just don't even look to see that the car that was stopped next to them is in that lane!!
People that park their car in a residential area and hang either front or rear over into a drive way.
Makes me the most nuts- cell phone using or texting drivers!
ARGH- tail gating!!!
People who text while they drive..ugh !
When your in the right lane to make a right,,and someone comes all the way over from the left lane and cuts you off!
