And is there any relation to where you lived your life/relocated later?

I was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Except for one year in Denver and four in Cincinnati for college, I lived in NE Ohio until I was 35 and moved with then-husband to Columbus. From there, we relocated to Arkansas, where I am today.

I only have one niece and one nephew in Ohio, and except for my kids' grandparents on their dad's side, I haven't been back. I'm spoilt by the mild winters down here.

I was born in Boston, MA and when my mother married a military man we moved all over the US but especially in the SE. A few family members still left in Boston but it has been a life time since I have seen them.

I arrived in this world in Charlotte. N.C. I have traveled around quite a bit and lived in a couple of western states, CA, and NM as well as Northern, but I always come back to the south and the mild winters. I'll always be more of an island guy than an Eskimo type. :theisland::beachkids:

I was born in Tacoma, Washington, to a railroader. That means moving a lot. WA, MT, OR, back to WA, MN, NB, MN and now in Californian.

Start out in the fog of the PNW and love the fog of the Bay Area.

I'm told I was found abandon on a tree stump at Santee Cooper, in South Carolina. I actually believed that until I was about 25. Actually my Daddy was stationed at a Naval Air Base in Nevada and I was born near Reno.

My father who was in the military, met my mother who is native german. When I was in the oven they came back to the states and I made my grand arrival in Fort Campbell, Ky. We moved a little after... to PA and then to Georgia and this is where my parents split. I have lived here most my life, except for 3 weeks when my mom had this grand idea to move to Olympia WA which didn't last very long(when I was a kiddo)!!. As an adult I have moved to Memphis ,TN Atlanta, Ga and Flordia. I came back to finish my degree and will move north once I am finished.

I was born on this earth in Big Spring, Texas. Shortly after my birth, we moved to Los Angeles, California for 5 years, then to Maryland for 3 years, then back to California for 5 more years, then to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where I lived for a total of 31 years. I left there in 2006 and did a short stint in Upstate NY, then to Los Angeles again for nearly 3 years and then to where I am now in Austin, Texas which is where I anticipate spending the rest of my days. I've been in Austin now for over a year. It would seem I have come full circle with Texas, lol.

I was always told that I was found in the woods sitting outside a wolf den. In reality I was born and raised in the booming metropolis of Winchester, TN. I left home at eighteen to join the US Army, and I have lived at various and sundry locations all over the country after that. But about once every few years something brought me back to Middle TN. My father called me his "Prodigal Child" because I would go wandering and after a few years, come back home. As the song said, "I know a lot of funny people in a lot of funny places". When I was a growing up in that small place all I wanted was OUT of it. Now all I want is to go back home and after I finish college, that is where we are going. My mother still lives there,it is a good place to live, with lots of great country roads to ride bicycles and most folks still remember what manners are and treat each other decently.

I was born and raised (all over) LaLa land ... aka Los Angeles. I've lived in Oregon and Connecticut and New York. I returned to California eons ago to help care for my mother when she was terminally ill. I've stayed put in my home state, the Bay Area, ever since. It's an expensive place to live, but the weather and other percs are worth it.

I was born and raised in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. That's a large island in the north part of Nova Scotia, Canada. I went to school in Halifax, Nova Scotia, did several stints working in New Brunswick and went back to school in Quebec, Quebec, where I lived and worked for about twenty years. Now I'm back in New Brunswick, where my father's side of the family has been for generations, being fifth generation to live on the same land. My folks retired here and live next door. Good thing too, 'cause they're getting to the age and stage in their lives where they need a little help every day. I'm settled here, but since I'm in a relationship with an American - who knows? If DOMA were ever repealed.....

I was born in Honolulu... Much of my extended family is still out there. We go back many generations. When I was 5 my first father died and when I was 8 my mother remarried and we moved to Boston in the middle of February (brrrr!). All of my immediate family remains in the Boston area. I consider both Boston and Honolulu to be home towns to this day. In 1996 I moved with a girl out to San Diego... halfway between both home towns! I miss my mother terribly... but am grateful for the ease of flying back to her in Boston...

Born in Blackpool, brought up 5 miles away in Thornton-Cleveleys. Spent a couple of years out-of-control in Fleetwood - another 5 miles further along the coast from Thornton-Cleveleys. Stopped being out-of-control and enrolled in college 30-some miles away from the Fylde Coast on the other side of Morecambe Bay in Lancaster. I stayed there 10 years or so until my Ma got ill whereupon I moved back to the Fylde coast and Blackpool. Met and bought a house with my ex who is still my housemate and am still in the pool that is blackest despite swearing that when Ma died - 11years ago - I'd leave again.

I joined the Army right out of high school, moved to Charlotte when I was discharged, lived there 32 years until my wife passed away and then relocated to the ole homestead in Monroe in April 2008, that was the last move for me. I'll be here til they carry me out in a box!

And is there any relation to where you lived your life/relocated later?

Any relation? Absolutely. Either you loved it when you were younger and came back or you hated it and stayed as far away as you could.

For myself, I've been all over. I spent the past 4.5 years in the PNW, which has some of the most lush, beautiful greenery I've ever seen and the mountainscapes are to die for, but I missed the sunshine and warmth of Southern winters, so I'm in Austin now. Though I wasn't born here, I was born in the South.

Born in New Jersey; family moved to Pennsylvania when I was 3; and when I was almost 7 my Dad took a job in North Carolina. With the exception of living briefly in the UK I've been here in NC ever since. There's no place on Earth like the Tarheel State.

As the TV ad said back in the 70s: "Lord, it's just like living in a poem! I like calling North Carolina home!"

I was born in Lockhart, Texas and grew up mostly in the Austin area. I lived in Albuquerque for 15 years and moved to the Seattle area in 2003.

Austin is home but New Mexico holds a piece of my heart, too.

This is where I first say that I was born in a hospital..............well, wasn't that the question?

Really though, if it matters to some, ya'll should know I'm Chicago born and bred
My dad was a policeman for 36 years and we had to stay in Chicago
As an adult, I've lived in a lot of towns surrounding Chicago
I've even lived in about 5 different states
Younger days, I was restless and traveling fit me well
Right now, I'm at peace with where I'm at, but who knows what will come my way in the future

I was born in Middlesboro, KY. Also spelled Middlesborough. The city was believed to be created as the result of a meteor. It is a beautiful place, next to Cumberland Gap State Park and the Gap Pinnacle where you can see VA, KY and TN atop its glory!

I grew up with horses and lotsa places to romp. We moved to Speedwell, TN (about 30 miles away) out on the lake. Seclusion! It was great in the summers with lotsa folks, but winter? OMG, The Shining!

So, as soon as I could escape, I did! I traveled a lot, saw the World, and, came right back to TN! Nashville is home for now. Been here about 15 years!

Ima Southern Gypsy!

I was born in South Bend, IN and lived in that area for about 16-17 years. I was raised by my grandma, my grandma's partner and my great grandma we were poor Irish farmers. I dreamed of getting the hell out all my life.
I always believed that the Roma left me on my Gran's doorstep. When I was a kid I would sit in faerie rings with my dog and wait for them to take me, they never took me up on that offer

I lived in Louisville, KY for a brief moment then I moved to Port Huron, MI after that and lived on a commune for 4-5 years.

Then I moved all around SE Michigan and finally settled in Detroit for quite a few years all in all about 20 years in Michigan minus a 2 year stent wherein I returned to Indiana to help my grandma and her partner when they became ill and ultimately died.

Now I live in Houston, TX.

My next trajectory will take me to either to Alaska or the PNW, I think.

I was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma but lived in Oklahoma City growing up.

Left home at 17 and joined the Army; my first stop was in New Jersey then Massachusettes, where I became a Red Sox fan!

Now I'm out of the Army, living in Oklahoma City, back to where I was before I left for the Army.

Not very exciting but comforting to say the least.

L.A. is a great big freeway
Put a hundred down and buy a car
In a week, maybe two, they'll make you a star
Weeks turn into years. How quick they pass
And all the stars that never were
Are parking cars and pumping gas

Born in IN moved to TN when I was 5 . Lived in NM and UT my early 20's . Then a short stent in NV from there to MN for a little while. Ended back up in TN met my long term ex after I had been back for a few years. After we had been a couple for a two years , we moved to MO. When I had had enough I moved back to TN. Was here for a few years good work was hard to find so went to NY to find work. Ended up working with some white supremacist and then said the hell with it, figured if I had to be around rednecks would be around the ones where I grew up and believe me they aren't as bad as the ones I met in NY. So moved back to TN where I grew up and decided one way or another was going to make it work even if it meant going out over the road to do it lol. Besides that I owned my property down here. Oh yeah forgot about the time think it was only about a week I lived in Tyler , TX in a trailer full of people I knew. Didn't have a bed or privacy there just wasn't for me.

Since I travel now I can see and do different things and still have a home base to come home too. I think even when I retire and if I have the money will still be traveling to different places to visit.
