The Best and Worst of 2010

So Long to you ... Sure has been a crazy year for disaster. Two worst thing would have to be Haiti Earthquake and BP oil spill ,
And best would definitely be meeting all you fine people in Little Rock, Arkansas and going to Hot Springs for the first time and Blaze winning $800 dollars there. priceless!

Another best would be Denise and Glynn wedding in Austin , it was really nice to see such a beautiful wedding and to happy people getting hitched! Thanks so much for inviting us we had such a great time!

I'd say right off the top of my head, the best was being able to meet several of the folks here on the planet, hope to meet more next year. The top of the crop was of course the birth of my precious great niece, "Tootie".

The worst I guess was watching the fairly rapid decline in Nannie's health and subsequent death. Thank God she didn't suffer

So long 2010, this was a year of disasters. The three worse things were:

Some of the best things were:
Oldest niece graduating from high school
Reconnecting with some old friends that I have not talked
to in years
Meeting the special someone in my life

best: Buying rose cottage
daughter graduating from college
daughter getting a local teaching job (miracle!)
niece getting a job after 2 year of being unemployed
my back somewhat stabilizing
slowly coming into my FemDom self
my beloved friendships

worst: personally, not really a bad year except for health. And even with that, I cant complain. No matter what went wrong, I had help. There was always an angel. Or two. Or three. I guess what I learned this year that no matter what, there will be rain. What matters is with who you find shelter from it...

Personally, 2010 was the year that I pushed outside of myself. In doing so, I met a lot of new to me and quite lovely folks in Little Rock and here in Austin, relocated halfway across the country by myself (Of which I'm very thankful now that there's snow everywhere but here!), learned that there are friends who will help if they can (I've had to do things on my own for most of my life.), watched a couple of really good and down to Earth folks get hitched, and the best thing of all was developing my relationship with my honey. I snatched up a good 'un!

The worst parts for me personally were the months of unemployment, though it was voluntary from the move it still hurt like heck, and going through winding back roads in the lowlands of Oklahoma at 2 and 3 in the morning with massive split pea soup thick fog and not being able to stop and wait it out (due to my poor time management, which is being worked on!). I nearly had to change my undies, I was so scared, but I made it through.

No doubt, hands down, the best thing in 2010 is the best thing I believe I ever did in my life, which was to marry the love of my life!

Worst of 2010,,hard to say; so many things but having survived hurricane Katrina in somewhat dismal conditions, I can still only imagine how bad things have been for the people of Haiti. There were a great many tough spots this year, but this one seems to rise to the top when I think about it for a short period of time.
