Jess,
I enjoy Nature, Antique Roadshow, and Nova. I also enjoy the specials they show on various wars, and medical breakthroughs.
Thanks for this thread.
Andrew
Howdy Andrew,
No problem. I've been a huge fan of PBS/NPR forever and thought it might be cool to have a place to make note of shows/ specials that some of us might miss!

I am watching, When I Rise. This is a powerful story. I came across it by accident, and I am glad I watched it.

I love the PBS
:hangloose:
The Documentaries never seem to disappoint!
:yeahthat:
One that stuck in my mind that I watched a
few months ago was titled 'Worse than War'.
It's the kind of stuff that makes me sad.
But it's also the stuff that I feel the need to watch,
for various sobering reasons.

I'm a PBS raised guy. I was brought up on Sesame Street when Bert and Ernie still lived together. I was a kid on Lamb Chop. Reading Rainbow made books fun. Nature brought the Rain Forest and Oceans to life for me. Now I am a big fan of Austin City Limits, britcoms, and just about every documentary. I think my favorite show is American Experience followed by Secrets of the Dead.

Watched that Nova special, it came on at like 3 am just as I was heading to bed, couldn't resist watching it. Was so touching how these ladies were shunned by their villages for having this condition.
I too, am a big PBS/documentary fan...

"Secrets of the Dead" was really good. Even Rosie enjoyed it.
I am waiting for the new season to start. I hate it when the reruns start over. I watch a ton of TV.

Bert and Ernie don't live together anymore? :|
It's awful. They are saying it was giving kids the wrong kind of ideals. I have issues over it. I know as a little kid I was happy knowing you could live with your best friend and even take baths together and it was okay.
The only nicety is Elmo occasionally wears a tutu even though he is a boy monster.

The Secretaries: Conversations on Diplomacy with Hillary Clinton & Henry Kissinger
It is a series that will have all living Secretaries of State in discussions with Clinton.

I can't believe they did this!
