Are you right-handed, left-handed or ambidextrous?

Slightly ambidextrous. I am primarily right-handed, but can write with either.

I'm exclusively left handed for writing, but can do some tasks right hand dominant.

I'm right hand dominant, I do use my left for a lot of things though. Usually because its closer to what I might be doing than my right at the time.

And as I'm sure many of us here are, ambiSextrous, should be a choice? :jester:

Predominantly right handed when I write but use my left hand for other tasks as well.

left hand dominant except for writing thanks to a kindegarten and first grade teacher who broke me of using my left

I'm one of those whose parents (both righties) discouraged by tendency to be left handed. My mother, a teacher, was absolutely determined that I be right handed....for whatever reason. I guess she figured I'd have less trouble in the world if I were right handed. Had they not "interfered", I'd probably be a definite leftie, but I do write with my right hand.

In the military, marching and cadence came easy to me, because everything with marching is based, or "stepped off" on the left foot. Also, the Marine Corps strongly stresses using the left hand for carrying things and most tasks out, so that the right hand is always free to render a hand salute. To this day, my left arm is much stronger than my right, and if I reach to do something, other than writing, it is with my left hand/arm.

Right handed for almost everything - - except snapping my fingers. I cannot snap with my right hand - it seems very weak.

My Mom and Sister were/are lefties, my Dad and I righties.

I am VERY right handed, although I know I do some things like a leftie because it was my Mom setting examples.

Left-handed. Writing, eating and anything "fine motor" is entirely left-handed. I'd probably accidently poke myself in the eye if I put a fork in my right hand lol

Anything sports related seems to be right-side dominant, though (throwing, striking, shooting).

I am predominately left handed but I write with my right hand because my elementary teacher forced me to sit with my left hand behind my back and write right handed. Boo on her!

Right handed. Totally. Without a doubt.

I can't even itch a scratch on my ummmmm elbow with my left hand.

It's only use really is for the letters on that side of the keyboard, otherwise, i probably wouldn't miss it....much.

Righty

When I was a kid I broke my right arm, so I don't have a problem using my left when needed.

Righty, but had shoulder surgery and had to do everything left handed. The only thing I can't do with my left is write legibly.

I'm a Lefty. I had to become ambidextrous in school though, for lack of lefty scissors and things. Sigh, the far right always discriminates against those of us leaning left. :cat:

I am ambidextrous!!! I write with my right hand for the most part, but I can write equally as sloppy with my left. I golf left handed (clubs are cheaper sometimes) , I bat left handed , but I throw right handed . Mainly because I was a catcher and it was virtually impossible back in the 80's to find a left handed catchers glove. hahahaha All my clothes in my closet are set up like a lefty would hang them, or so I'm told. I bowl right handed. I guess my brain is truly equal when it comes to which hand I prefer. My twin is ambidextrous too. I'm just an enigma. I don't fit into any category of any subject . I am uncategorizible.

For the most part I am right handed. But I am quite gifted in many ways in that I am ambidextrous, and let me tell you, THAT can come in really handy (no pun intended :p) sometimes!

Surprising poll results so far! Left-handed and ambidextrous are at a higher number than right-handers.

I'm right-handed with many things (and I marked right-handed on the poll), but there are some things I'm better at with the left hand. I grew up playing the cello though (badly), so I'm not sure if that influenced my left-hand coordination.
