Hey, everyone. I know that there are several cat-lovers here and I thought it’d be groovy to have a place where we can share our stories about our furbabies—as well as share reviews and news about toys, food, etc. :ballcat:

And, as a first-time kitty parent (all by myself…and unsupervised, perhaps to the chagrin of my furbaby), I also think this forum would be a great space to ask for advice ;)

We have about a dozen barn cats living in a *Kitty Condo* here on the farm.

They are all very damn cute and their Momma (aurora) takes very good care of them. They are all fixed and eat very well :)

We have two. I've had Zoe since she was about 8 weeks old; she'll be 14 y/o this summer.

And Deckster is a fairly new addition. We took him in this past fall. He was living under our deck, skinny as a rail, and missing an eye.

It turns out he is a 4 y/o (approximately) neutered male. He now lives inside and seems pretty damn content. Oh... He is no longer skinny as a rail. ;)

Well they may not be mine...but they live here and I love them.

Lexi is a tortoise....and she thinks she is anything but a kitty....Parrot, dog, person...but cat not so much...I wake up to her using my toothbrush to clean her teeth or licking the mouth wash cap to get her tongue to that minty freshness lol...she likes to type and be petted on her terms...if you try to hold her she will climb to your shoulder sit there and proceed to nuzzle your ear.

Zeek is a hot mess...he's an inbreed child...black and a dork. He will let you do just about anything to him until you hit that spot and then will turn on you like hot potato.....fiesty little fu.....kitty. He talks to you and will promptly learn your wake up time and make sure you abide it even on days off...

Its pretty much easy to say whom runs this house.

We have three cats ranging in age from 3 years old to 22 yo.

Sophie Rose, 22 yo, is the oldest. She jumped into the back of Rosie's co-workers pickup. Her co-worker brought her inside, and in that instant it was decided that Sophie was my first cat. I am really a dog person. Or so I thought. Rose came home with Sophie and told me that she was mine. So, I named her Sophie because she was so-fe(male). Now she weighs less than a pound, and wears a pink dog sweater with a red heart on the back of it. Sophie is so small that the heart wraps all around her body. Sophie Rose loves to be held, rocked, and sung too. She also loves to be kissed and given full body massages. Sophie Rose's siblings were all killed by some kids with too much time on their hands.

Gabby or Gabrielle is the next female we have. She is 4 years old. I was asked to foster her by my vet. Gabby was a newborn and was taken from a lady who was an animal hoarder. Gabby is a hunter. She loves to jump decks, and hunt in the natural habitat behind my home. Every day I get a gift (a tree branch to a bird or snake). I just shake my head. She sleeps with me at night. Gabby does not like to be held or kissed.

Madison is the male cat we have who is 10 years old and chubby. I rescued him from a pittbull fighting ring. He was just a newborn. Madison hisses and spits. He also bites. However, he is a cuddle bug. He loves to sleep with his Daddy as well. He is not in the mood to hunt or do any exercising (like his Dad). Instead, he loves to lay on the deck and watch the birds and squirrels play - and of course wait for his treats. He likes to be rocked, and sung too. He will every now and then like to be given kisses.

There was a feral cat community behind my home that everyone was caring for. We all shared the costs of food, vet bills, and so on. Unfortunately, one neighbor called in Animal Control and had everyone of the cats caught, and put down. Even with the vet calling, it did no good. Some neighbor.

My baby is Destinee, who answers to DeeDee (or simply Dee). She has quite a story: she was found at a truck-stop, where she watched as her kittens were run-over; and then she was spayed, assumed to be feral, and was planned to be released back into "the wild". Wendy, the lady who worked at the local shelter and would help Destinee and I become a family, was called by Animal Control; a gentleman was having second-thoughts about Dee being feral. Wendy laughs and calls me Dee "third-time-is-a-charm rescuer." Unaccustomed to being inside (though she may have been as a kitten), Dee continues to do remarkably--and is very much loved. Her name, like her clipped ear, reminds me of just a few reasons she deserves to be spoiled ;)

Dee loves these dental treats (but only this flavor):

http://petsmedvetstore.com/petstore/images/greensalmon.jpg

---
The verdict is still out on this $42 toy [which is significantly cheaper at Petco right now because the sales this month]; the main issue is that the feathery thing pops out of its cheap-ass plastic socket (and I'm contemplating using superglue):

http://pet.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pPETS-8918821t400.jpg

It's supposed to be a clawing, grooming, and play post.

---
Has anyone used this litter? I can't decide if Dee had a cold or if the fine particles are going up her nose... (she sneezes a bit here and yon)

Daisy,

This is just my take on what you asked:

1. I only use Arm & Hammer Cat Litter.

2. Use LocTite on your cat toy. BUT give the toy time to dry. It will never come off again in your lifetime or your furkids.

3. Feline Greenies are the bomb here too. I also give them the Friskies treats. I just give them whatever is on sale.

Awesome--thank you so much, Andrew! And, Amazon sells LocTite, to boot :D

I'm relieved to hear that the Arm & Hammer litter isn't bad news, too! ;)

I appreciate your feedback!!!

Best toy ever...

(plus it's entertaining for anyone to watch someone as mechanically challenged as myself put it together...)

daisy, I have a dozen resue cats and have tried more brands of cat litter than I care to name
The one I find that works the best is Fresh Step

BTW, don't know if greenies are bad for cats, but they are for dogs
I've read some horror stories about dogs dying from them

In other news, I took a 3 hour round trip ride to my vet today
I have a cat that needs an allergy shot on a monthly basis
She happens to be a Drama Queen when it comes to pills
Every time I've tried to get half an allergy pill in her, she foams at the mouth
When this shot wears off, I'm going to try childrens liquid allergy medicine
My cats happen to adore my vet and even though I moved out of that town, I have an obligation to my cats
It also gave me a reason to see one of my old rescues that my vet took in
All I have to do is whistle and he still comes a running
My country vet has her practice on the same property she lives on
Jr who is the rescue, wanted to stay outside and she has 5 or so acres
He follows her around like a dog when she does her chores
Anyhow, it was nice being able to pet him today

my ex got our cat in the divorce (well in all fairness she was hys) but between you and me Pittypat was my girl.

I got her for the ex for a birthday gift and we named her Pittypat because we had hardwood floors and she just made such noise walking around, we could hear the pitty pat of her lil feet running up and down the stairs lol

I miss her, and one day hope to have another little feline to love.

Rescues are the bestest! ;)

Oh, gosh, I've never heard anything negative about Greenies--but I'll look into it, Wolfy--thanks!

Aww, poor Queenie... you've, no doubt, even tried those pill hider thingies (pill pockets, I believe)... not sure if anyone else has any ideas on the subject.

Jr. sounds absolutely adorable...

What is a pill pocket?
I'd try it on Sophie if I think it really worked
I tried a pill pusher I got from the vet and couldn't use it like her
So, that was a bust and waste of money, lol

If you google Greenies and medical problems for dogs, you'll read what I mean
I can't in good mind feed them to my cats knowing what they do to dogs
And FYI, my rescues get only Science Diet, they go through 3 big bags a month
So spoiled being indoors that they don't even try and get out when the front door opens

We have a HOUSEFUL of furbabies! (The boxers are insisting I mention them even though it's a CATS thread....so, we have two..Hannah & Hunter)

Now! Onto the cats!!

Our oldest baby is Little One and he is 13, we have his children, Spike & Princess, both 12. Then we have Pepper, who was my sister's cat, but became ours again recently (the first time while she & her husband were stationed in Japan, recently after a sudden move found her with a need for a home) and her three children (Kachina, Brianna, and Becca). We have Sage who was a rescue when my wife lived in Reno...who loves Car rides and other magical things. We have a cat lady across the street who has quite the collection of feral cats that she isn't the best mom to....from her, we have: Vegas, Sampson, Hercules, Max & Nina (the last two are my one-eyed, super big hearted babies). And finally, we have Chance who was found in a dumpster with his brother & sister when he was two days old...we lost Sunny & Lucy, but Chance is strong & amazing (and SIX years old!) :)

All of ours get fixed upon entering the house, assuming they are in good health. The ones with children, came pregnant or with the children already around. I wouldn't trade one of them...

I have Mr Smitty the one eyed rocking on ancient limping kitty. He was from a no kill cat shelter. I also took in a throw away cat from a neighbor who moved and left her behind. I had named her Ms Bea but she ended up being called Cat Face the Bold and Beautiful. She is the royal queen of the house and she deserves it. She protects Mr Smitty from dangers. He has no claws (I didnt do that to him) and she does.

I would love one more cat. Both of them are quite old (in the teen years) but I am going to wait. Until money comes in, I cant afford another animal...

What is a pill pocket?

A Pill Pocket (http://www.discountpetmedicines.com/cat-dog-pill-accessories.htm) is a nifty little treat where you can hide the meds; while the ones that I've seen are Greenies, I know there are other brands...

I wrote an entire huge post about my kitteh and then the pc froze and ate it so I'm gonna try again. *sigh*

I have only one kitty at home now. Her name is Mao. She showed up about 2 years ago as a "stray". (I think she had previously belonged to an elderly neighbor gentleman who passed.) She was very skittish and it took a year to coax her close enough to be petted, eventhough I'd been feeding and talking to her since she first showed up. Then a few months ago I was sitting on the porch and she jumped up on my lap. It surprised me and must have surprised her too, because she jumped right back down. She walked around for a few minutes then jumped back up again. I sat very still waiting to see what she would do, then "flop!" right down into my lap and started purring. Now if she even thinks you're gonna sit down, she's right there waiting to hop.

She's also started to venture into the entryway if I leave the door open, but that's as far as she'll go. Since it took her a year just to be petted, I know she does things in her own baby steps. She does follow every step I take if I'm outside though, just like a puppy. If I walk, she walks. If I jog, she jogs...lol

Oh, and her favorite snack: hot dogs. I've tried cutting up grilled chicken and fish for her, but she'll just turn up her nose at it. If she sees you walk outside with a hot dog though, she'll start dancing and prancing...lol

She's a fat, fluffy, happy kitty and a real sweetheart. I just wish she would tuck in the claws...lol For some reason, when she's happy or being petted, she puts her claws out and scratches you on accident. (She doesn't seem to know that's the wrong reaction to petting...lol) I've owned lots of cats, and have never seen one do that. (Other than the little "love scratches" that some cats do when kneading.) I thought at first maybe her claws wouldn't retract, but after checking her and watching, they do. So, no clue...lol

Blackie is maybe 4 years old, a pound rescue. She's (surprise) black and white, and looks like a cow. Her back is all black except for one white spot, and her tummy is all white except for that one black spot! She's extremely mellow, which I was looking for in a cat.

Then there's Misty, a 1 year old huge gray Norweigan Forest Cat. She's like a giant dryer lint ball on feet. Last summer, she looked so uncomfortable I had her shaved down like a lion. I call her the "Cog", because she'll fetch like a dog and worship us like a dog. Wherever I go, she follows. If she can't find me or the kids, she "cries". I can't believe I have to go reassure a cat that I'm right here :D.

Oh, and Misty loves spaghetti night. The cat loves noodles and anything noodle-like. She doesn't eat them so much as she carries them around like her baby.

I have 3 cats, 2 are Rescue babies, and the third was a gift. They are all Purebred Himalayans. Two Flame points and one Seal Point. Can you say cat hair??? I have to keep a lint roller in my car to see what kind of fur I am adorned with once in full sunlight LOL.

Suave is the Seal Point, he was rescued from a Breeder, and spent the first 4-6 months of his life locked up in a cage. Just a few weeks ago I heard him purr for the first time, and he is 3 years old. It has taken him a very long time to trust, and finally comes to me looking for some love!He is a male but such a coquette! He has a Doll face, so he looks like a very long haired Siamese.

Casanova is A Flame point, and looks like a stuffed animal. He was given to me as a gift. He has a lot of personality, and shadows me, he is the Alpha Male. He like to help me cook. Or is it he's trying to trip me so he can get more food? He is very affectionate, and mischievous. He loves Jewelry, he will carry it all over the house if he can get his paws on it.

Cielo in my Flame Point female. She was given to me by a woman who rescued her. She has the Smooshy face, and looks like the little creatures from Gremlins. I think she is from the same breeder as Casanova, because Flame Points are somewhat rare, and there is only 1 breeder in the area, that has them. She is tiny, and looks like the Sugar Plum Fairy, but fights like Bruce Lee. So I call her Cielo from the Bronx!

OH. MY. GOD.

First, I love this thread!
Second, I've been a cat person all my life.....and I won't bore You with the list of names! lol

Right now ~ and I blame Ms. Tabitha for this ~ I now have 2 kittehs. They are Siamese brothers, Fred and Ricky. (Well....I had a Lucy Lab/Pit mix, so I had to have Fred & Ricky, right?)

I wasn't PLANNING on getting a cat, much less TWO! But they wrapped their crooked little tails around my heart and I'm not quite sure what I ever did without them! There are pictures of them in my Gallery.

NOW, there is a neighborhood big~headed tom cat I have grown attached to.....and I named him Ethel. I know. It was a cruel joke. But he's adorable, too. A pale grey tabby with white feet and chest. The boys watch him from the window as he has his breakfast.

There's another neighborhood cat, a fluffy tuxedo female (I believe)....and when SHE comes up, Fred and Ricky go so balistic (that she is trying to steal Ethel's food) that Lucy even goes berserk and chases her off with her barking.

Lucy loves Ethel, too.

I know, I know.....one day, Ethel will probably come inside to play.... Dear God, help me!

Oh.....I used Tidy Cats for multiple cats. They eat Meow Mix. And they don't like treats of any kind. Their favorite toys are empty boxes and wadded up tissue paper!

Her Royal Greyness the Woodipotimus is my furbaby.....Bunzalus Bunzelius was a foster baby that went to live somewhere else.

The Woolly and me are a package...love me love my cat...no choice.

Woody gets a dry diet, she has no choice in this matter. I'm convinced there's something addictive in wet cat food. Wet food makes the Woolly fat, lazy and begging.

i posted my girls' pics a few posts back. Baby was a stray. She came to me at about three months old, adorable but sick. It looked like she might have to be put down, but she started getting better, and she is healthy and happy now. Zuzu was a roommate's cat who became attached to me, so my roommate gave her to me. She is the best gift i have ever gotten.

She has food allergies though -- to grain -- and has to eat grain-free food. i feed her Natural Balance Green Pea and Duck formula.

My girls are buds and play with each other several times away. They chase each other through the house, sounding like a herd of elephants.

i have had two other cats. One was a fat and placid calico called Kismet; the other was a mackerel tabby with the softest coat in the world. Her name was B.K., which stood for Baby Kitty. She lived to 19, and Kismet made it to 20. They died within two months of each other. It was a very sad time, and i didn't expect to have cats gain. It's no fun finding housing in the Bay Area when you have two cats.

But the universe had other ideas. i think i am meant to always have two cats.

We have three cats. Well, one is deceased for a number of years, but she's still so present in our hearts. Her name is Cloud. Cloud and her daughter Frou Frou came to me from a co-worker whose fiance was allergic. Cloud had been a homeless cat who got pregnant on the street quite young. She was tiny yet LOVED food. What a wonderful cat. She used to lick my eyelashes. Need I say more. Cloud's daughter Frou Frou misses her mother and is very attached to me (and of course the feeling is mutual). Her latest interest is watching bird videos on Youtube. Our third cat Phoebe was brought into the relationship by BB (a rescue cat). She has one of those great loud motor-like purrs and sleeps in my arms like a teddy bear. My cats never bore me. If I had my druthers, I'd play with them all day every day :). Oh, and I recommend three tiered sturdy cat condos. Both our cats adore the condo we have.

My girlfriend has 4 cats and loves them to death. I used to have Himalayans and love them too they are so beautiful and would love to adopt one for my home but if she should move in there will be four cats and a dog Molly a JRT who is 10 years old. We would have some family here with all those animals but it would be fun. I miss having cats and enjoy all the posts about them..

That's clever and funny!.....I miss my kitties....My four cats passed on when I lived in Seattle....One was called Spikey---aka Mr. BooCherry (because he was a ladies man of the cat world)....The other was called DiddlePaw because she was little(play on the word little---diddle) and had small paws...Then there was Puddie B ( She had cattitude), and my last one was Ribbons ( a short hair tortie) who looked like she had a face of an owl, so her aka was owl cat(Lisa gave her that name)....

Would you believe when I was a child I use to call my siamese cat Mr. Foo Foo?

We have 6.

2 started out as mine - Pukis (pookie) and Esmeralda.
Pookie is about 13 and is a grey tabbie found on the street in the lower east side at about 5weeks. She's getting older but still has running fits and loves catnip and keeping everyone in line. Esme is a calico from Barc shelter in Brooklyn - she's about 6 now i think and loves to head butt you when you don't expect it. She never meows. ever.

3 came with the butch :) Zoey - orange and white, not sure the age - street kitty now lovey dovey thing. Molly - sweetest cat ever - very gentle - about 4 yrs old - grey tabbie, Shane - she's a butch kitty. Tortoiseshell and bossy.

youngest is Morgan -a black kitty about a year old now. Found taped up in box in the street/trash. people are assholes. She's the coolest kitten ever. She loves squishy balls and hair ties and will fetch them repeatedly for you to throw. and throw. and throw. She also drops them on your head while you are sleeping. Recently she's decided 4Am is a good time to wake up at which point she climbs on me nuzzles my neck, purring loudly, and starts licking my nose, eyelids, chin...

they pee and poop a lot. i believe my main role in life is litter scooper.

tura, I get the pooper scooper role, too
I seem to cater to them for all their little needs
The joy and rewards from watching them interact or act up, can't be matched

I think I was meant to be a caretaker of rescue kitties
Now if I could just find homes for half of them

I woke up this morning to my kitty perched atop the TV in the bedroom.
Her silhouette reminded me of:

Wow! I never knew this thread was here!!! I have 4 kitties. Tabitha is my 11 year old Tabby, Samantha is my 10 year old Siamese, Max is my 9 year old Siamese and Goldie is my 5 year old Tabby.
I'm having a problem with Sam that I need some help with. She refuses to use her litter box....I've tried different litters, putting the boxes in different places in the house etc..but nothing is working. Any ideas?

She won't use it to do either or is it just urinating?

If the problem is just the urinating, I'd get her to a vet and have her checked for a urinary tract infection.
Sometimes when they are sick, doing things out of the ordinary is their way of asking for help.

maybe she's an outdoor type of kitty....She may like using the outdoors instead.....Put her on a leash and walk her on some grass???...Or, it may be she doesn't want to share the litter box with the other cats----territory????....It also may mean the cat needs some kitty xanax given to her to not get stressed out by being around other kitties.....Check with your vet....

Stop Proposed Ban on Feeding Cats
March 30, 2011

Dear Friends:

I am writing to ask for your help to stop a proposed feeding ban against stray and feral cats. This is happening in Radnor Township, PA and may be voted on as early as April 11th. You may have seen this on Channel 6 last week.

One person complained about cats in their yard and now the Board of Health is concerned that stray and feral cats can easily transmit diseases to humans, such as rabies and toxoplasmosis. They have consulted with only one veterinarian on this matter who has recommended the ban and believes it's in the best interest of the township's public health.

As leaders in the local no kill movement, we are spearheading the advocacy effort to stop the ban in a neighboring community that is asking for help. Even if you don't live in Radnor Township, it is important to speak out against this ordinance. If it passes there, it won't be long before other communities follow suit. And those kitties will lose their lives.

I have attached a letter which you can forward through email to the Board of Commissioners. These are the persons that will decide whether the ordinance gets passed. It explains why a feeding ban would be ineffective and suggests alternative solutions.

Due to the time sensitivity, I am asking you to reach out to your family, friends and coworkers ASAP and ask them to contact the Board immediately. If you know anybody that lives in Radnor Township (Bryn Mawr, Wayne, St. Davids, Radnor, Rosemont & Villanova) please forward to them as well. You will find below the name, telephone number and email address for each board member.

We don't want to see a township pass an ordinance that allows cats to starve to death. Other solutions, such as TNR, are effective which has already gained recognition for its success in the Radnor Township.

We will be working on this issue in Delaware over the next 2 years. For now, thanks for standing up with me on this issue in a neighboring community that needs our support.

Many thanks,

Jane Pierantozzi, Executive Director

SAMPLE LETTER TO SEND:

Dear Commissioners,

I understand that Radnor Township is considering a feeding ban of free roaming cats because there is a public health concern they can transmit certain diseases to humans. I ask you to vote AGAINST this proposal that would make Radnor Township an inhumane town, and seek alternative solutions that have been proven effective in other communities.

The veterinarian from the Board of Health, Dr. Len Donato, stated that various contagious diseases, such as rabies, could be transmitted from cats to humans. However, he doesn't present any scientific evidence that a feeding ban will effectively address this public health concern. The information he has presented is purely anecdotal. In fact, Dr. Donato cannot cite a single reported case of disease being transmitted directly from cats to humans in Radnor Township.

There are other humane and effective ways to address Radnor's public health concern. In a news release on September 2, 2010 by Pennsylvania's Department of Agriculture, the Agriculture Secretary Russell C. Redding stated, "Vaccinating wild animals against rabies is essential to ensuring human and domestic animal health." Twelve counties in western Pennsylvania have participated in an annual oral rabies vaccination program targeting raccoons, which make up more than half of all rabies cases in the state. According to Redding, "The oral rabies vaccination program has proven successful over the past six years, reducing the number of reported cases in Pennsylvania by nearly 60 percent." Western Pennsylvania didn't starve cats to death to effectively address the transmission of rabies to humans.

Another effective way to minimize the transmission of disease from cats to humans is a Trap-Neuter-Return-Manage/Monitor (TNRM) program. In a TNRM program, stray and feral cats are trapped, sterilized to stop reproduction, vaccinated against diseases including rabies, then returned to their home territory where they are fed, sheltered and monitored on an ongoing basis by a designated caretaker. Any sick or injured cats are removed from the colony and receive appropriate veterinary evaluation and care.

TNRM programs supported by municipalities in California, Florida, and Illinois have reduced feral cat populations by 20%-40% in five years and by over 50% in San Diego since 1989. Radnor Township itself has already seen an effective TNRM program on Eachus Avenue. In 2009, a colony of 27 cats (6 adults, 12 kittens and 9 born in captivity) was decreased to 5 cats through TNRM and hasn't grown in numbers since. Other local communities are using TNRM including Wilmington, Greenwood Delaware and New Castle County Delaware with more communities following suit. Managing and monitoring the colony requires the caretaker to provide food and water to these cats outdoors, so a feeding ban would make it illegal for him/her to continue a program that has already been recognized and applauded in your township.

According to national experts from Alley Cat Allies and Best Friends Animal Society, there are an estimated 11,700 feral (community) cats in Radnor Township. A feeding ban will not stop the proliferation and plight of all these animals. And the ban is in stark contrast to your public health concerns. Unfed feral cats are more likely to rummage in dumpsters and garbage cans with raccoons, which have the highest incidence of rabies in Pennsylvania. Feral cats avoid human contact by nature, but will be more apt to approach people for food if they are starving to death, thereby increasing the likelihood of transmitting disease.

We again ask the town's leadership to listen to the facts presented, speak to experts in this area and support a humane, more effective approach to addressing your public health concern. Please vote AGAINST a proposal that would ban feeding of roaming cats in your township.

Thank you for your consideration of this very important matter.

Thank you from our Feline Friends!

From all of our feline friends who have made their home in your neighborhood or behind your business -

Thank you for helping to protect our friends!

My kittehs have discovered the slope at the back of the tub.....and their new trick is to run and take a flying leap, then slide down. It is one of the funniest things they do! I don't have a video camera or I'd try to catch them doing it. It's hilarious!

I have been feeding a neighborhood feral lately.....He's a big ol' bruiser tomcat, and I've named him Ethel. :| I know.....but I have a Lucy, a Fred and a Ricky.....I didn't have a choice. I don't believe it's affected his masculinity a bit.

ANYway....this boy wouldn't have ANYthing to do with me and would run when I opened the door. But this morning.......<smile> He was waiting for me, having slept under my tea rose bush. He watched as I put food in his bowl, stretched and ALmost smelled my outstretched hand! I held the door open....and he was SO torn about wanting to come inside.....it was so sweet! But he opted for breakfast instead.

When he trusts me to touch him, I'll begin the work of trying to hold him so that I can take him in for the snip~snip......

My favorite game that Dee (my kitty) has created is to scramble like like a hellion through the house, but start/end on my bed--with her head bowed for a kiss. And, yes, I must bestow the kiss--or she looks up and takes her paw, caressing my cheek (hopefully, claws "in") until I do :giggle:

Oh, btw--the toy pictured below... yeah, well, maybe it's fun for a long time, but my kitty has figured out how to take the ball out in all of the toys like this. At least she's figured out that if I don't put it "back" fast enough (when she hits the garbage can with it, bang, bang), she'll thump it against my thigh while I sit on the floor. I wonder if that constitutes as "fetch" for her :eatinghersheybar:

Our family has two cats, a boy (Tigger) and girl (Muffy) ~ both of them are sleeping right now, but guaranteed once the rest of us try to go to sleep they'll be running up and down the house like its a race track lol

So happy to report that the little 5 week old Himalayan kitten found in the parking lot behind my office by a client yesterday morning got a clean bill of health from the vet...and i think my boss is going to adopt her...

At the moment my little girl is demanding attention and catnip from me...she keeps nosing me in the leg with a cold wet nose...and it really really tickles...:giggle:

Mine have decided about 9:30 every night is the time to chase each other up and down the house -- hardwood floors -- and growl and hiss at each other. My poor early-to-bed roommate hasn't said anything yet.
