hi. i heard this news today, and thought i'd share. the story was interesting to me because b.vitamins are often times used by total vegans, people who experience fibrocystic breast disease, and/or for menopausal issues, et c. anything heart related can go in this thread, if you like. :bouquet:

Excellent Thread Belle!
Now you have me looking up vitamins as if I don't have enough home work already, lol. Once I :detective: more, and can express in more detail of what im trying to say. Then I will put my :2cents: in.

I have had 2 heart attacks. I take a multiple vitamin now. When I was having blood work done during my last attack, they discovered I had no vitamin d in my system at all. So, I was given that via a liquid. Then I started on prescriptions. When the news came out about b, I was tested, and am ok on that level, but still my body will not keep vitamin d in my system. It makes no difference if I am outside all day long either. My body just rejects it.

Thanks for the thread Belle.:paw:

I'm going to a cardiologist tomorrow. I have been a few times in the past few years, but I never told any of them I wear a binder. I feel the same mostly whether I wear it or not. Is it something anyone needs to know about?
Maybe this should go in butch threads.

I never could find anything on the web about health problems from compression. Some sites mentioned damage to young peoples developing bones and lungs from binding too tightly is all. One hysterical anti trans blogger ranted about heart damage from binding. But, she had no facts from any medical institution, just typical crazy lady stuff. Sounded like a cut and paste from an old editorial from the turn of the century against women wearing bloomers and cycling, the sky is falling.....change is so terrifying to some.
So I went today to the cardio. and instead of having to take off clothes, the dr. just lifted my shirt. Never said anything about the vest. I get another monitor day in two weeks.
