I've tried 100 times to wear sling backs and just cant. No matter what the style, height, width of strap etc. I just walk out of them. My good friend bought me some gorgeous spangly black stiletto sling backs a couple of Christmas's ago. Nearly broke my neck walking out of them on the stairs. Needless to say, someone else is now enjoying them :(

Does this brand run true to size? I know with Kenneth Cole, that I can wear a size 6 1/2 to a size 7 depending on the shoe.

I LOVE shoes! I also love bare feet and flip flops and my walking boots and my fluffy sheepskin slippers.... My toes are always painted no matter what, because I like to, it doesn't matter if noone sees them but me. If I'm going out of the house then 50% of the time I'm in heels (group wedged and platforms in here). If it's a party, evening out.... that jumps to 100% Unless we're talking girls night in at a friends, then it's likely to be fluffy socks lol

"Nail salon footbaths are implicated in furunculosis caused by atypical mycobacteria.

Furunculosis is a condition where you have a furuncle, which is commonly known as an abscess or a boil. A furuncle forms when a hair follicle (root) and the skin surrounding it become infected

Despite our near-constant exposure to rapidly growing nontuberculous mycobacteria (RGM), which are common colonizers of water supply systems, these organisms seldom make us sick. Or perhaps they do so more often than we recognize.

Spurred by two local cases of RGM leg furunculosis apparently acquired in nail salons, North Carolina researchers combed public health records of two counties for additional cases during a 4-year period; they found 40 confirmed or probable cases in women and teenage girls, whose single or multiple leg lesions were caused most often by organisms in the Mycobacterium chelonae/abscessus group.

The researchers visited some of the implicated nail salons, where they noted debris or visible biofilms in the footbaths more commonly than they did when they visited control salons without associated cases. However, footbath water samples yielded organisms in 15 of 24 salons, with no differences between case and control salons

I never shave prior to a pedicure. My spa does a sea salt scrub with a pedi and a recent shave can cause this to create bleeding legs.

I love them (both the design and the subtle colours) but it would probably take a second glance to really notice what's going on on someone else's toes. Not that it would stop me having crackle nails. My toes are under wraps for 9 months of the year anyway and I still pamper and paint them!

I know it's a bunion and it doesn't hurt, but I would rather not have the surgery to correct it. I read about a wrap you can sleep in that helps push the bone back into place...has anyone tried it?

It's so frustrating! I read earlier that, contrary to popular belief, bunions aren't a result of wearing high heels. They are 100% hereditary.

Definitely hereditary for me! Both of my parents have them. It's kind of a family trait. Mom had surgery on hers in the early 80s. Spent many months with big pins sticking out of her foot. Now I hear the surgery has evolved and is way less invasive.

Heels certainly exasperate the situation. (Most shoes do for me) But, I'll wear them anyway.

They are my femme feet, bunions and all!

For some reason, I always wanted to get The Tick tattooed on the bottom of my foot, like I'd squashed him.

Sadly, my feet are far too ticklish for that to ever happen and, if for some miracle, they weren't it would fade something wicked.
