I have an odd obsession with canned tuna. It comes from years ago when I was on my own with my son and no money...tuna is cheap, and a source of protein. Now...even though I am not at that level of struggling, I still find myself stocking up on tuna...and I get twitchy if I have none in the house. :)

Family....tried moving away from them a couple of times, not good.
Music....it feeds my soul
quiet time...to nourish me
Not a "stuff" kind of person, but I would not be happy without my home.
That's it, the very basic I "need".

(Being raised by my Great Gramma, Staples for my life and pantry holds a much different meaning to me than it would my son because of his 1990-2000 generational differences.... I'm thinking of many staples in my life that I don't take for granted and MUST have to live a humble life.... I'm recalling when I lived on a VERY limited income while raising my son, that certain food staples were hard to come by because of cost, so we could only afford processed foods or cheap mac-n-cheese...we hardly bought fresh veggies or fruit.... I'm fondly recalling many Staples in my Gramma's pantry that I now use as comfort foods...)

Staples in my life, i have a huge list which i think are staples but so many of these items i really could live without. i would miss them but could and would go on. So the list is now shorter than i first imagined.
Family, i could not live without my loves.
O/our home, i wish i could share it more with those in need.
my health, such as it is.
my books, they fill me with hope, ideas, and give me escape.
Music, it takes me away and i sway with the tunes.
my pets they are so free with their trust and love.
The computer and internet have become so much a part of my life. it used to be an IBM selectric typewriter.
Memories, the dear thoughts of people and events long past.
