I know there are more than a few BFP members who are also members of the Nursing profession, and I just want to take a minute to bring everyone's attention to the fact that this week, May 6 through 12th, is National Nurses Week. It's a week to celebrate and remember "the front line" and backbone of Health Care.....the Nurses!!! :cheer::clap::bouquet:

Thank you for all you do. You folks are the very heart and soul of the caring professions and, all too often, not enough mention is given to you for what you've done for your fellow human beings. I've worked beside you all for over 20 years now and I've see how hard you all work and how you give again and again, often with little to no recognition. I just want to tip my hat to you all, individually and as a group of professionals, and thank you for all you've done. :winky:

You all rock!!!! :clap::thumbsup:

Happy Nurses' Week!!! :stillheart:

What a wonderful thread to see after a somewhat aggrevating morning with AT&T ugggg.

I am always happy to find there are many Nurses here on this website. It is so comforting to be able to talk about daily issues and different aspects of medical care.

We take an oath, we are "patient advocates". This means we are held to a standard of standing up to whomever for patient rights to include Doctors, insurance companies, coorporations and families for the PATIENT's best interest.

I am proud of that.
I am proud of my fellow nurses.
Nursing is one of the many careers that i feel STRONGLY is a calling from a higher power.
What an absolute blessing it is.

Thank you to the ones that notice and appreciates us.

and....

Thank you fellow nurses!!!!!!!! :bunchflowers:

I just saw this thread today, May 12th. Thank you to all of the nurses. I have spent way too much time in the hospital in my lifetime. It was always the nurses that made me feel better and advocated for us patients.

When I was very sick last year, and

I was in the hospital for six days, and

Pete was desperate with worry,

The nurses took care of me.

I know it's a day late, but from this retired RN I would like to wish all the other Nurses on this site a belated happy Nurses Week!!

Here's a thought for you: Be kind to Nurses, we keep doctors from killing you!
