Just a poll about people's thoughts and opinions on polls.

I like them. A lot. I also like surveys and fill out near every one that comes to my house.

Arwen -
There are three voters so far, yet five choices picked. People can pick more than one response?

For the most part I like the polls. I especially like polls that can lead us into good conversation. I'm not real crazy about fluff polls but I take them too. I've made one poll I think and after I posted it I thought oh I should have added this and this and this. So I think when making a poll we should sit down write it out think about it a day add to it then post it. And I hate the I don't care choices, if ya don't care just exit out of the thread.

Yes, this is a multiple choice poll.

I find some of them very slanted. That's why I always advocate for an "I don't care" choice. Or a "None of your business" choice if it's a personal preferences poll. :fastdraq:

Blade, I think Arwen likes inclusivity. If there wasn't a "I don't care" choice, then not eveyone would get to participate!
You, on the other hand, are not as nice as her.

I am not interested in polls about margaritas but if you want to discuss the best ways to ingest tequila, I am there.....

the only polls that are useful are the --
do you shave and how do you fuck polls.
the rest matter not.

Perhaps there should have been a 'do you like to choose multiple options in polls' answer. I always click to see if there is because I'm curious like that and it helps to know when I have the right to bitch about there not being more than one choice to make. As a gemini, I find polls with only one option restrictive and annoying.

The responses lead me to belive that even if we had 1000 choices, we would never have the full list.

I rarely vote in the polls. Most of the time, I don't even read the options, I just read the thread. That means I'm often very confused when people throw in, what I see as, random comments about margaritas when the topic is polls.
Finally a poll that still has me chuckling.

The margarita choice is the "throw-away " choice. It gives those who can't take anything seriously something to do.

Glad to make you laugh. Now. Did you vote? :|

I personally like polls.
Polls are fun and help me see things from different perspectives.
Polls are sorta like games.
Polls or Poles....count me in.
yes.. I selected all of them.. thank you for giving me the option... Ben
I think polls are the problem with society today. Everybody wants to know what everybody thinks about something, well I say it's none of your damn business!! :poc-rant:
For those of you that don't know me, I'm just kidding.

Good answer. I should have made that a choice.

I voted:
Polls do not give the true pulse of what people are thinking.
Polls are attempt to encourage me to participate.
I wish there were more polls. (Because it can be a fun passtime...but it also can be annoying when no options suit me...)
I wish there was always an "I don't care choice." (You have no idea how many times I wished for this :p)
I don't care. (:D)

my only problem with polls is that when people say they are going to "post a pole" i have to get my epi-pen out.

I'd like for there to be a way that polls could be set up without the name of the member showing that starts it. Plus total privacy for voters- and no posting. Just a poll with numeric results.

Why isn't there an option for "other, will explain in thread"?
