Called Baba Yegas for reservations, They told me they do not take reservation for Sunday unless its before 10:30 or earlier.
But they do know that our (party of 12) will be coming @11:30.

so, i get to the hotel, go to the elevator, get in elevator when I looked out and I had dropped my long horn baseball cap, step outta elevator, doors closes. there goes my suitcase n stuff. Hit button for elevator, it comes back. stuff still inside..lol.

go to find the H-D store, i get on some road, on that road for about 3 blocks, when all of a sudden some lady in a white box wants me to give her a dollar. I'm like, for 3 blocks?

go to H-D store, its closed :( it's all good, I'll go over there tomorrow :)

the hotel room here is nice. I told the lady I was gonna move in. The bed here doesnt require a air pump..lol.

I tell you we are still stuff from brunch. The only thing we wish we had done was gotten a Ice Tea to go. Wt went to the meeting and i took a nap in the car till she got done and the first thing out of her mouth after was I wish I had gotten a tea to go. That was the same thing i was thinking about. So we stopped at Whataburger for two large Tea's.It was great seeing every one again at brunch.

Ok the pier costs $12 I believe it was and you can use the debit card. They just give you back extra money like on a $20. 4 am is a little early, I could possibly get there by 6-7 am which means getting up at 4 am. Also grabbing my shrimp and bait the day before . They have little benches but I would suggest bringing a chair. They also have drinks and snacks and stuff like that down there.$$$
Not going to make the gambling thing down at the Downs. Where abouts did Blaze catch the fish at?

If me and D can get things organized enough, we are gonna try to make the quick trip to Delta Downs for a couple of hours. We just got finished moving yesterday, so now we are trying to clean up the other house. AND we start dog/house sitting tomorrow for D's aunt for 10 days. **breathe**

I saw something about 3ish on Saturday. If we are able to come, it will probably be a lil' later in the evening. But, if y'all are gambling, and eating cake, then I'm sure you won't mind us being a lil' late. Anyway, I will let y'all know in the next couple of days.

i am so glad ya'll had fun! And i heard you "weren't surprised" that i didn't come lol...but I SO TOTALLY HAD INTENDED TO COME!!!! But my assistant mixed up our schedules and i ended up working the weekend SHE was supposed to work. I am still trying to figure out exactly how it happened....

At first When Mr Jenny got out of the truck I was surprised that you weren't in there,but WT doesn't go out because she doesn't want to get burned(redhead) and this way gives me some "butch bonding"time and out from under her feet LOL. I did get my burn on for the few min that the sun was out and forgot my sun block.I was having such a hard time with my hip hurting so much I appreciated Mr Jenny helping me out. Its been giving me fits worse for the last couple of weeks. When I got home I took a muscle relaxer and was out for the night.My hip feels much better today. I could hardly walk yesterday even with my cane.
Maybe we can go fishing again around the 7th of May or the 6th for some night fishing carrying over the night. I bet that's when those big reds start hitting.

Let me tell you, the concert was fabulous! I got some really good pics from the show too. I danced, sang my heart out, and pretty much made a fool of myself in the standing room only general admission area. No worries though, my gf and I didn't care!

After the concert on Wednesday we went to the aquarium on Thursday and saw some of the biggest darn fish I've ever seen before...oh and the white tigers! They were so pretty! And the sharks!! Wow is all I can say.

We ended up finding the gay district and went to a club called BLUR, which we weren't real impressed with except for the hidden make-out areas located upstairs. We also hit a gay bar for a beer, as we waited on the BLUR to open, that made us feel totally welcome. We played pool and sang songs before we went club hopping. It was so nice to be able to walk down the street in public and feel totally safe. If you're ever down that way, one word of advice, get there early like we did, say 9pm and get a great parking spot in BLUR's parking lot. Most other clubs charge $5 for parking.

Then we headed to have a drink at the Usual and then back to Beaumont. (we had just came to Houston to shop at the Galleria and for an early dinner at Cafe Adobe, but didn't have anyone to watch D's dog so we had to get home early.... so pride was a no go for us).

I'm so glad that y'all had such a great time! I wish that Houston would get smart and be Prideful in OCTOBER so we all wouldn't have to sweat to death ;)

Hello everyone I just wanted to throw this out here.... I have made a inquiry with Houston Pride too see about entering Butch-Femme Planet in next years Houston Pride Parade 2013 June 29.
I just wanted to know if anyone would be interested in walking down the parade as a group behind a big ButchFemmePlanet Banner. (Medusa said she could hook us up with one)..
I really think we would need at least 30 or more people . Remember it will be a lot of walking and or strutting the entire parade route! ( And or we can make some kind of float, We can enter up to 2 vehicles, I think) Let me know.... I will have to make decision by Nov. 30th

I won't go due to where they currently have it. Plus there needs to be more handicapped accessibility for these type of events. That would be the only way I would go, if they gave priority to disabled folks.

Ok, I confess...I've been up since 5:30 helping send off Blaze. He will spending the Harvey experience at work, making sure the peeps there are ok.

I've done laundry, and re-organized the drawers in the kitchen. I have been waiting for the all-close at work, and gave directions via phone to put out the sand bags. The front and back doors tend to take in water when we get more than 3-4 inches. Moved fixtures back from the window.

Ok, little cabin fever. Already? I think I just needed the ok from work, because now I can have a drink and take a nap!

I am in Shanghai! And the epiphany I am having is that I love my international city of Houston!

I wanted to vacation here because I keep hearing how influential China is going to be this century— and now that I have checked it out, I just had to come to this thread and tell my fellow Houstonians that I have been to 3 Chinese cities now and there is nothing in the “real” China that we don’t have on Harwin Drive.

If you are from Houston, you are ready for what’s coming. Even San Francisco is not as ready!

Don’t let anyone make you feel like we are less cool than Austin or even Dallas. Houston is the future!

Just go in, its a simple menu to choose from and its a big bowl. I get the basic ramen with half an egg, double pork belly, etc. They do have alcohol there too.

I got to sneak away to see the Vicent Van Gogh exhibition at the Museum of fine arts if your into that , it is a must see! The paintings and drawings will captivate you. Amazing masterpieces! They also have everything Vincent gift shop set up , I bought a lot of things I love his work . Willem Defoe recent played him in a movie 2018"At Eternity Gate" check it out The exhibit ends June 27th.
