Hello from a Chicago femme!

Hi! I didn't even know of this site's existence until I saw some hits on my blog that came from here. So I wandered over to check it out.

I'm a radical queer femme currently working as a vet tech (rehabilitation therapist to be specific) with aspirations of grad school. I'm hoping to start my journey toward a new career next fall and will be pursuing a Masters in social work with a secondary degree in either social justice/community organizing or women and gender studies (depending on where I get in).

I live with my dapper butch partner and our 3 cats. Oh and I belly dance from time to time. Any other belly dancers around these parts?

I have no background in social work. My Bachelors is in journalism (which I suppose I'm finally putting to use with my blog) but I've been working in veterinary medicine for the past 11 years. Burned out and ready to move on. So I'm taking the leap to grad school! Eep!
