Hi All,
I'm new to the community. I'm a 43 year old BBW who lives in Vancouver, BC. I think I've identified as femme for about as long as I identified as "different" when I was 14 years ago. I'm single and looking to meet friends and other like-minded folks here.
I can be kind of shy, but when I get going I can be a wordy so-and-so. :) I'm glad I found my way here!
So... where are the best places to hang out?

Yep, it's a little hard to keep up at first and I'm still learning my way around. But it gets easier! And it's so awesome. I'm loving it! Just keep exploring and feel free to ask people questions.

I just woke up, so it's too early to tell. Missing that butch that broke my heart, though. I'm thinking I'd like to sleep for about another hour.
How are you?

And I just realized I made myself older than I am. I won't be 43 for 3 more weeks. Gotta hold on to that youth for as long as I can!

((((((((letter)))))))) Shall I kick some butch rear end? I'm really sorry your heart got broken, I've been there before too many times and so I can relate in a big way. I hope you heal soon, until then you got the Planet and its a pretty cool place to be I have to admit :D

No, there's no point kicking her rear end. She made her choice and I have to live with it. It's only been a week, so the wounds are still fresh.
And I'm glad I found the Planet. Though I know lots of lesbians and queer women here in town, I mostly feel like an odd duck because I'm so specific about my needs, desires, and wants. Most of the lesbians/queer women don't seem to relate to me being so deeply into the butch/femme dynamic, so I miss having someone to talk to about the deeper reasons for why this breakup affected me so much.

Your right she did make her choice, but it still seems unfair to Me that people can treat others that way and think its okay (we know its not). I too have been in this situation many times before so I know what its like, how fresh and open the wounds can be for such a long time after its over and how sometimes it seems like they simply carry on with their lives as if nothing happens while we pick up the pieces of our broken hearts to try and mend them.
The Planet is a wonderful place with some amazing people who inhabit it, and you can find lots of great friends here (I know that I sure have). Keep your chin up honey, things will get better and you have the Planet to hang out at when you need it :rrose:

There are a LOT of femmes in beautiful British Columbia. Or, should I say, lots of beautiful femmes in B.C. Either way, we need to start importing some of the south of the border guys, or, have the Canadian guys travel west!!!
This is a friendly site, and perhaps we should organize a femme tea soon!:tea:
