Hey fellow Minnesotans - what's your favorite part of the State Fair? Do you have a State Fair routine? Favorite ride? Food that you have to have no matter what?

I'm a fair junkie...I usually go at least twice per year. The fried pickles are a must eat for me, as are the Martha's cookies and a stop at the all-you-can-drink milk truck. I have a sentimental attachment to the Old Mill ride, even though it's kinda corny.

I love the Deep Fried Pickles!!! Yummmm

and the Corn on the Cob. I don't care what anyone says it tastes different at the fair. yumm!

It's going to be hard for us and we better make the right choices since we're both on diets..However, last time I was at this fair was 8 years ago when Ladi and I were first seeing each other and doing the long distance thing. It was my first time out here and we went to this fair.

The things that I want to eat are: corn dogs, cotton candy and a red candy apple w/coconut (If they have that type of candy apple) rather than the caramel. I may splurge a little since I've been behaving on the diet. We'll see....

I went today from 2 to 10 and had a blast. We had cheese curds, pronto pups, and fried pickles. I like the corn too, but was too full when we passed that booth to have any. I'm hoping to go back Sun or Mon since there's a lot I didn't get to see. I'll be at the Mpls mini-reunion stuff on Fri! See you then.
