I believe, still, that I am the luckiest Daddy ever.
I believe that I love My babygirl more than I can ever say with simple words, I believe that our love transcends all that.
I believe it needs to be wednesday now!
I believe My babygirl is the most beautiful girl I've ever had the privilege to know.
I believe I am beyond Proud of her, she amazes Me every single day we share.
I believe I am so happy I could burst!
(but I won't cos not only would I not get to see her open her presents, it would also be a tad messy)

that my thoughts on certain lifestyles are changing, and i like it
that i need new ink

In what context my friend?

Do you mean maybe when people speak in another language on purpose so you won't understand them?

Jet, it would probably be helpful to explain the context of your statement. Otherwise, it could be perceived as being racist. At the very least, it could be hurtful to those who speak languages other than English.

i believe that when i hear people say things like, "speaking a foreign language in public is rude", i automatically assume (yes, i assume, and yes i know what that spells out) that racism plays a part in why they feel that way.
Here's the odd kinda message the Universe is sending me and making me feel like i need to say this publicly: Though i've heard that belief more & more frequently around here (SC) over the past few years, i heard it directly from my house mate last week. It took me aback, i have to admit.
i asked her why she felt that way, and she said because they might be talking about her, or plotting some kind of terrorist thing.
Both of the reasons make me laugh in disbelief. i am sure the look on my face as she was saying all this was not a pretty look. my mind was racing between, "no effin way you can really think that!" to, "girl, you are not the center of the universe", to, "omFg how...how....just plain ignorant".
i told her that though i found her to be worthy of gossip and talking about her behind her back, i doubted very seriously many other people did, *especially* strangers in public. And that though she may think it's all about her, not many others agreed, especially people who don't know her. And that i was pretty confident 2 people having a conversation that was going on before she was sharing the same public space with them (she says it happened in the grocery store that particular day), were not discussing her....they were maybe trying to decide what was for dinner, or if generic was indeed as good as name brand or maybe gossiping about a co-worker or neighbor, but i was pretty dang certain she was not the topic of their conversation.
So then, she of course said what i knew was coming next: "well, it's just rude! They are in America, they should speak english!" (i praised her for at least not saying "they should speak American", because i've heard that more than once, seriously).
OK....why? Why should everyone in one particular country only ever speak one particular language?? So we all know it's not about us?? So we can all rest easy knowing no one is plotting how to blow us up?? Give me a break.
i believe that knowing how to communicate is a good thing and might help in certain situations like if one is lost or injured and needs help, but i do not believe anyone should be forced to learn and speak any language (if their job requires it, my thought is surely they knew that before agreeing to accept the job, so they are deciding to do it).
And so what if they are talking about you?! So what??? Does it really matter what language people use when they talk about you?? Heck, i personally would rather they did use a language i don't understand while discussing how i look or what i'm wearing or why they think i'm wearing different socks. Saves me the trouble of deciding whether it's worth confronting them or just letting it slide with a smile. Because really, at the end of my day, what other people think/say about me is none of my business.
i don't believe i'm making a whole lotta sense right now, or getting my points out clearly. Maybe i need to learn how to communicate better....regardless....i just had to speak my mind. And i considered putting this elsewhere, but because of an earlier post, i decided this was where it belonged.
Now, feel free to tell me what you think, but please try to do it without being mean to me, k?

For starters english is a bastardised conglomeration of all the multiple nations who've either invaded or been invaded by english speaking people ...
I believe stating *any* language as a 'bastardized' version of any other language to be rude and repulsive.
bas·tard·ize (bstr-dz)
tr.v. bas·tard·ized, bas·tard·iz·ing, bas·tard·iz·es
1. To lower in quality or character; debase.
2. To declare or prove (someone) to be a bastard.
bastard·i·zation (-tr-d-zshn) n.
------------------------------------------------
Nations and cultures have invaded other nations and cultures for eons, and it's not just the english language that is a "conglomerate" of other languages.
Here's why I'm a little 'picky' on the word 'bastardization' when used to describe languages. I had someone of British/Anglo Saxon heritage tell me once that Portuguese was 'just a bastardized version of Spanish'. What ticked me off even more from that experience? She was a graduate student in linguistics. I felt because of her educational prowess I didn't have much to debate her on the issue.
Instead I walked away in disgust, felt like my culture was shat on by someone who wasn't even in a position to 'joke', 'comment', 'tease' in the same manner if say... an Spanish speaking person had said that to me (as least there would be a shared experience and history of the multitude of cultures/race that have attacked/settled in the Iberian Peninsula for well over a thousand years.)
I believe I'm not 'attacking' you personally Massive, and I hope this doesn't sound overly harsh. I'm presenting some historical context as to why.
I believe we should all take care about using a word like 'bastardization' when describing *any* language that is so heavily related to ones culture or race.
Thanks for understanding.

I believe that the sun shines after the rain
I believe if you don't get hurt you'll never gain
I believe in not doing things the easy way
I believe that being selfish doesn’t pay
I believe in a second chance
I believe in a life long romance
I believe there is life after death
And standing up to a life of mess
I believe in love at first sight
I believe that revenge isn’t right
I believe that first impressions last
And there is nothing better then a good laugh
I believe that dreams do come true
I believe there's destiny for me and you,
I believe something good comes from something bad
I believe everyone has one true love
I believe there's destiny for me and you
I believe that good things come to those who wait
I believe love never arrives too late
I believe something good comes from something bad
I believe that for tears of happiness there are tears of sad
I believe everyone has a guardian angel
And the good you do will be rewarded well
I believe sometimes there is no explanation
I believe money can't buy people's affection
I believe you don't know what you've got until it's gone
I believe a new day arrives with every dawn
I believe a smile can be contagious
I believe in being very outrageous
I believe in living with no regrets
I believe that life is as good as it gets
I believe that God watches over us
I believe the little things are worth the fuss
I believe you have each friend for a reason
I believe you will get punished for treason
I believe that what comes first is family
I believe we should all live in harmony
I believe in making the most of a beautiful day
And it's not the end until everything's okay
I believe absence makes the heart grow fonder
I believe you will lose if you sit and wonder
I believe every experience teaches you a lesson
And nothing cures better then a drinking session
I believe everyone has one true love
I believe sometimes we need a little shove
I believe the whole world is a stage
I believe we only get better with age
I believe that to learn you have to live
I believe that to love someone you have to give
I believe one moment can change your life
And there's still help when you’re in strife
I believe everyone has one true friend
I believe love helps a broken heart mend
I believe in the power of a song
And things will change before too long
I believe living is the best experience
I believe in not laughing at other people’s expense
I believe it’s hard to watch a lover leave
And when they’re gone all you can do is breath
I believe to always look on the bright side
I believe that life is just one big ride
I believe when I die people will grieve
But it’s ok because I believe - Egyptian heart

I respect what you're saying, but I was talking about the language of my own culture, and country, the language that is spoken in the United Kingdom is a mixture of all the countries we've invaded and been invaded by since before we were a united kingdom, that was where my statement was coming from. I need to keep reminding myself that this is an american site again it seems.

i believe..
- that we gain strength from our hardships..
- that we learn from our mistakes..
- that we need to step outside the box, and look inside..
- that forgiveness isn't always possible and certainly not always deserved..
- that love for one self is necessary to really love & appreciate all that surrounds you..
- that when things are really meant to be, they will surely be..
and mostly...i believe that as the days go on, and i walk this journey - i feel my worth more everyday & feel love for the genuine honest and beautiful being i know i am.. and also believe, that the girl looking back at me in the mirror, is someone i see beauty in for many reasons... and although i don't feel i am beautiful - the very fact i can even LOOK at myself, truly look at myself, in the mirror and think what i do, could quite possibly be my greatest achievement thus far..

i believe...
that things happen for a reason..
This morning, i woke up earlier than usual.. i got ready for work, and then decided i would leave early as well.. While walking to work, a sweet elderly lady was out on her front steps with a shovel, but was certainly not dressed appropriately for winter weather.. And she was attempting to shovel her steps, but barely doing so because she was cold and doing something like that was obviously challenging for her..
i worried that she was out in the cold in her nightie though, and so i walked up her walkway, and asked if she would like some help.. And then told her if she'd like to go inside and get warm i would finish her steps and walkway for her and bring her shovel in when i was done.. She smiled and was going back in when someone came out to get her (thankful someone WAS there..) the poor dear.. Because i was contemplating what i should do, since i could tell she wasnt thinking clearly by being out there in her nightie..
Anyway, having left early this morning, i was able to scoot a darling woman back inside, and i indeed shovelled her walkway and steps off for her (them) and then brought the shovel inside the hallway. The lady who came to get her, came out and thanked me and thanked me again, and said some very sweet words.
And i walked to work, with a smile on my face.. i'm SO glad she's okay..♥
I believe now,,That true love does prevale..And that I need to stop thinking at times and just believe,,and never give up..For this Lady is worth far more than what I began to start thinking,, and I was a fool to think she'd give up on me,,when all along she didn't..Thank God,, I was so wrong this time about my thoughts..And she was So Right to let me find this out *S* I Love You Baby,,and I will neva eva,,doubt you and us,,again.......

i believe..
that holding myself accountable, and admitting my hard truths are ways to help me move forward on a very challenging journey.. but also ways to inspire people who may have happened to need that inspiration on any given day.. When i get those reps, phonecalls, emails or messages that my sharing has helped them too, it really makes me feel that wonderful feeling within, like a smile that starts all the way from the tips of my toes... & in them then sharing with me, i grow too.. feeling grateful & blessed for those moments today.. ♥

- i believe, life is what you make of it.. appreciate the little things, embrace the bumps in the road, and find the positives in what surrounds you..life's lessons, self-growth and stepping forward, depends on it..
- i believe, that while time, communication and attention are needed in relationships, so is acceptance...loving someone for who they are and their imperfections, because love isn't about knocking them down, but about loving them up.. ♥
- i believe, that the further i walk this path, the more in tune i get with myself & the more i climb upward.. i don't think i'll ever tire of this journey i am on - and being a fan of myself feels pretty nifty..
- i believe i'm beautiful, i'm sexy, and that He loves me.. that i love taking care of me, for Him..& that it feels good to look in the mirror, and smile at that reflection, take notice of the girl looking back, and be good with her..

i believe.. bullying, in any form, is sad & unfortuneate..
too much hate in the world today, and no one deserves to be knocked down by someone in such a way.. ever..
i pulled a big section out of the newspaper for Our teenagers to read - all about bullying, different programs and articles, lots of information (5 pages worth).. i plan on reading it along with them - it's scary what they deal with in school these days.. But even more disheartening that some adults choose to encourage the bullying along with their children.

I believe there is randomness to life.
I believe if people don’t find love it isn’t necessarily because they aren’t ready, etc. It could just be because they didn’t happen to be in the right place at the right time to meet the right person.
Likewise, I believe that if bad things happen to people, it isn’t necessarily because they made it happen in some unconscious or conscious way—it might just be because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I believe that fearing the randomness of life causes people to incorrectly attribute cause-and-effect logic to their actions—and miss the stuff they really need to focus on.
I believe that fearing the randomness of life often comes from a fear of not having control over one’s life.
I believe the most arrogant people are often the most fragile people.
I believe the most aggressive people are often the most fearful people.
I believe the most intolerant people are often the most isolated people.
I believe the happiest people are often the most flexible people.
I believe that people who live longest are not only the ones who lucked out genetically and had good health care, but are those who continue staying open to new connections with others.
I believe the destructiveness of religion far outweighs its usefulness.
I believe that if all religions disappeared, the ways in which they are useful—creating community, honoring life’s milestones, alleviating fear of death—would emerge in non-religious forms that work just as well.
That said, I believe the ways in which religions are destructive—codifying oppression, controlling behavior in ways that hurt some people—would also, unfortunately, emerge in effective, non-religious forms.
I believe people (myself included) think they are in love not because of how they feel about a person, but because of how that person makes them feel about themselves.
I believe for-profit entities will never do right by the humans, animals and ecosystems that enable their success, unless they are forced to do so.
I believe it’s better to forgive a friend, relative, lover, co-worker or other, because otherwise you deprive yourself of what you enjoy about them and benefit from.
That said, I believe that when the deficits outweigh the benefits, it’s better to let a connection with someone dissolve.
I believe it’s really hard to assess the benefits versus the deficits in any kind of human relationships because our need for the benefits makes us go into denial about the deficits.
I believe shame is the internalization of other people’s or a culture’s desire to control my behavior in ways that are not in my best interest.
I believe my biology as a human prevents me from understanding concepts like infinity and time.
I believe romantic love is a chemical experience sometimes felt as a kind of resonance in other parts of the body (for me, it resonates in the chest cavity and I feel it in a cardio-vascular way).
I believe that when events or circumstances triggering the chemical experience change, romantic love can change.
I believe that successful, long-term romantic love continues to access the chemical experience, places it in the context of intellectual understanding and appreciation, and is flexible as people change over time.
I believe the earth is dying, and the damage will not be reversed in time to stop its death. I believe that this is not a reflection on how evil humans are, but how human humans are, and I believe this is no excuse not to try and reverse the damage.
I believe coyotes will survive longer than wolves, because they are willing to eat our garbage and sneak into our habitat, to get it. Any living thing that can adapt in order to co-exist with humans, will last longer than those that retreat further and further into shrinking non-humanized zones.
I believe the commitment to see myself and others clearly, keeps all my long-term relationships alive—unless what I eventually see is not what I signed on for.
I believe it’s possible other life forms exist beyond those on Earth.
I believe there has been cultural resistance to female comediennes because laughter is a physical response, and there is discomfort with females controlling the physical response of large groups.
I believe people with different beliefs can often get along just fine, though it might impact on the extent to which they are involved, or the type of relationship they might have.
I believe trust is my deepest bond with any person.
I believe that pretending to be happy; doing and saying the things a happy person would do or say, sometimes tricks us into authentic happiness—just as there is biological evidence that when we force ourselves to smile, it creates the pathway in the brain that triggers a smile, and sometimes, creating that pathway, even in a “backwards” way, results in happiness.
I believe my beliefs are actually opinions, because they are not based on faith, but instead are based on fact, or the evidence of my experience.
I believe people are drawn to my charisma and repelled by my fear. I believe my fear is sometimes valid, sometimes not.
I believe my closest friends are the ones who see my fear in the context of who I am, and love my fear just as they love my strength.
I believe I attract domineering people because my fear reads like permission to be dominated.
I believe I attract dishonest people because my unusually developed ability to listen reads like uncritical acceptance of all I hear.
I believe I attract intelligent people because they are relieved to go somewhere unexpected with their brain.
I believe I attract kind people because they are tired of being the kind one all the time, and yearn to be treated tenderly, themselves.
I believe I will live longer than I want to, and not as long as I hope for.
I believe my dreams are filled with the sensation of nostalgia because I am trying to reinvent my life and am looking for models from my past.
I believe my beliefs are often alienating to others.
I believe that doesn’t matter.
I believe anyone who has read to the end of this post is likely to be someone I either appall, or make happy in some way.

- people are put in our path for a reason..and i am thankful for the ability to see the positives even through misunderstandings at times, & gain lessons and self-growth, if anything..
- forgiveness isn't always deserved, but when it's possible, it's a really wonderful, healing thing..including forgiveness for self..Sometimes i don't voice the forgiveness, because the hurt is deep, but it allows 'me' the ability to move forward and not dwell on their actions..
- that with self-esteem building, one can see the intentions of others more clearly, and i choose to distance them.. i always give it my all first..but it saddens me when someone sets out to hurt my happiness .. i'll still wish them happiness, peace & love of life.. We all deserve it!
- i feel myself on such a path to a positive, happy self within.. it grows more & more daily.. and the love i feel for those dear to me, grows along with that.. It feels like looking through brand new eyes, seeing everything again for the very first time.. The beauty that surrounds me, i'm amazed daily.. i can't get enough. And i am embracing everyone who supports and encourages that positive path i walk..
- i am taking my life back. <3

I believe that the greatest testimony to faith is in the way we live our lives. Saying and doing are two separate things. I dont always do it right. I sometimes get the saying long before I get to doing. But if I dont get to the doing, then everything I say is scrutinized...so I try to live as tho every word I think and say has a video behind it so people can actually see the thrust and importance of those words.
especially and foremost, for me...so I dont get lost...
I believe it's been a very long time since I've been here.
I believe I learned how to spell believe by typing it over and over.
I believe there are people I miss very much, and sometimes when I read someone's post I stop for a minute, thinking, "could that be...?"
I believe it's not.
I believe that I am inclined to pay more attention when I think it could be, though! And I believe that's just a natural reaction.
I believe I am utterly grateful to the First Farmers of the Americas for the foods they developed, gifts freely given from the ancient past all the way to the present.
I believe food and water are the most important things, although I believe that people take them very much for granted.
I believe one day there will be a cure for breast cancer.
i'm off to a holiday auction benefitting breast cancer :)
