Hey folks -

I am getting some texts and phone calls about outages. I haven't had an outage on my end or any error messages so if you get an error message, could you please post it here?!

Thanks! I'll be out of the loop for the next couple of hours to pick up Dorothy and Meet and Greet but I'll check back in to see where we are in this.

Hey Medusa.....is this referiing to the website being down earlier today? It was for about 20 minutes or so..at least that is what the error message was saying on my laptop. I just wait it out usually...smiles..it fixes itself...so to speak. Have fun..we will all behave while you are at reunion!!! Hugs...Clay

I couldn't get in for 20 minutes or so...the message I got was from Explorer just saying it could not perform the required task. That was at 12 noon PST...for me anyway.

Ditto the above statements :) No big. Apparently I have to work while at work too - I just saw it as uhhh divine inspiration for me to get that report completed.

Same as above. Just connect connect to the site and thought there was a server issue.

Mine went from blank screen to only user cp search and log out to not connecting and a lag. For a moment I thought Linus was back there dithering around LOL

I got a blank white screen around 7:30PM UK time for about 20 minutes - thought it was Firefox playing up, again, lol!

I say PM Linus with all future site probs until a day (or three) after the Reunion is over.

P.S. Feel free to harass June, though.

This is ridiculous the website should be up at all times! It should never go down. I may have to go to LR and get some people to get on the ball.

I say we just amuse ourselves until they get back. Gemme: you juggle, Ebon: card tricks, Dapper: dance routine please, and I think I will just have some milk and brownies and watch. :)

I tell you what, Ebon, June's stink eye is WAY powerful....

I heard that she gave Linus her "pre stink eye", so that he wouldn't go to the Reunion, just in case something like this happened.

And see what happened?

He didn't go to the Reunion.

And the website broke just like she thought!

Welp. I did a check and again someone(s) are attempting to hack our system. The majority of attacks seem to be coming from China and France. Our system withstands it but an attack like this (known as a DoS or Denial of Service; which means stopping access to a particular service, in this case the web access). I've put some explicit blocks on them and hopefully that will stop things for now. If it continues, I'll be getting our provider to add a block at their level.
