I thought it might be nice to have a place we could read to help us feel more inspired and motivated. Videos, music, poems, musings, pics.
I'd like to start with this awesome video. A motivational person with no arms or legs.

A simple shift in attitude can help us recognize the hidden potential for fulfillment in every event.
There is no secret recipe for happiness and contentment. The individuals who move through life joyously have not necessarily been blessed with lives of abundance, love, success, and prosperity. Such people have, however, been blessed with the ability to take the circumstances they’ve been handed and make them into something great. Our individual realities are colored by perception—delight and despair come from within rather than without. Situations we regard as fortuitous please us while situations we judge inauspicious cause us no end of grief. Yet if we can look at all we have accomplished without dwelling on our perceived misfortune and make each new circumstance our own, the world as a whole becomes a brighter place. A simple shift in attitude can help us recognize and unearth the hidden potential for personal and outer world fulfillment in every event, every relationship, every duty, and every setback.

Cool. I got wrapped up in the Brad Pitt fight scene video. :-)
Here's the other one I show my students. You can say it's like those corporate art posters "Motivation," "Performance," "Challenge,' etc. But the message about a degree making the difference is spectacular.

Take a listen, tell me what you think!
I think its a cool song but not exactly the type of thing I was hoping for the forum. If you find motivation with it cool.
Can we please describe what the content of videos and such are when posting?
Thanks

Don't be afraid. It's amazing what you can accomplish today if you chose it to be so. Give the first 4 people you meet today a compliment and watch it domino forward
Our Deepest Fear
By Marianne Williamson
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We were all meant to shine, as children do.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same
As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

You are VERY welcome!
Walk outside, lean against a tree, take in long slow deep breaths, close you eyes and feel the power of the universe. It takes 5 min and it will change your entire day.
Pay it forward. Teach someone to be happy by example

When you make a leap of faith you can accomplish almost anything you set out to do.
Many people, in heeding the guidance of their souls, find themselves contemplating goals that seem outrageous or unattainable. In the mind’s eye, these individuals stand at the edge of a precipice and look out over the abyss at the fruit of their ambition. Some resist the urge to jump, paralyzed by the gap between their current circumstances and the life of their dreams. Others make a leap of faith into the unknown, unsure of what they will encounter but certain that they will gain more in their attempts than they would bowing to self-protective instincts. This leap can be exceedingly difficult for individuals with control issues because the act of embracing uncertainty requires them to trust that surrender will net them the rewards they seek. Yet when you make a leap of faith, believing without a doubt that you will land safely on the other side, you can accomplish almost anything you set out to do.

Even the smallest step can create big change. Don't beat yourself up because you're not running out of the gate. The most important thing is that you want it bad enough- happiness, health, success, peace and love, that you'll begin stepping in its direction.
Wake up, put your feet on the ground and go! Start making your life extraordinary.

There can be no fear where love exist.
When we harbor doubts and conflict we create debilitating fear. It disables us not only from ourselves but from people that want/need to love us. To get love we must invest in love- project love and share with others. Social face to face interactions, friendships and loving bonds is part of the human experience.
At least once a week spend a few hours outside of your house & work just socializing. Invite someone for coffee, a walk in park (or mall if its cold) go bowling or share a meal. Practice the art of listening and sharing. Find even a few people you enjoy spending time with. It doesnt have to be romantic and you don't even have to be the same age. I love hearing stories from older people and they love sharing them. Or the comical ramblings of am intelligent child. Perhaps you can find someone of like mind with similar interest or hobby?
You might struggle at first or it make take time to find a small collection of friends you enjoy spending time with but with a little bit of effort it can be done.
Loving others isn't difficult if you just open your heart and believe in love. It is the fiber that truly connects us all. It is already present. You just need to be able to see it again.
I love you

It's ok to cry. We can't be "on" and happy all the time. It's ok to get depressed, have sadness and break down and cry. It cleanses our spirit and helps us renew, releasing pent up emotions, frustrations and fears. Go ahead cry and scream.
Get it over with. Then walk outside, hold your hands to the sky and feel the power of the universe.

Lack & fear are errors in thinking. Life is full of abundance, love and happiness we choose to believe it and we can manifest it. If you're feeling negative, depressed, afraid, sit still for a few moments. Breathe deeply, imagine and see beauty with your minds eye. Picture images that bring you joy- a waterfall, the beach, laughter from children, something funny. You see the world truly is filled with joy. You just have to remember.

"It's so important to believe in yourself. Believe that you can do it, under any circumstances. Because if you believe you can, then you really will. That belief just keeps you searching for the answers, and then pretty soon you get it." ~Wally Amos
Starbuck, I liked the video and thought it was probably the most inspiring
thing in this thread. Good work! :praying:

A Magical Mind
Wish
When we wish for something our consciousness opens to receiving it like a flower unfolding its petals to receive a bee.
From blowing dandelion seeds into the air to throwing a penny into a fountain, we have all felt inspired to make a wish, to whisper our secret desires into the ears of the universe and wait for signs that we have been heard. Some wishes come true while others remain ethereal visions that either stay with us or fade like a star in the light of morning. Whether they come true or not, wishes are important missives, expressing our heart's desire as well as our intention to create something new in our lives. When we wish for something, our consciousness opens to receiving it, like a flower unfolding its petals to receive a bee.
