“Life isn't all beer and skittles, but beer and skittles, or something better of the same sort, must form a good part of every Englishman's education.”
Thomas J. Watson, Sr.

So I poked my nose out of the door for the first time today to go get supplies. A pyjama day is no good without beer. The local supermarket (Lidl) used to have at least a hundred hand baskets. Recently some of the local scroats stole them all. That's right, all of them! Those of us who shop on a small scale now have to carry our goods around the shop.

My Moko. Ta Moko is a right of passage; I had mine done at 12. Moko indicates genealogy of a person’s Iwi (Tribe), their status (their place within the Iwi, i.e. Chieftain or Healer. Their marriage(s) and a person’s accomplishments in life. It represents Mana, beauty and identity. It is reflected in the Maori way of life - everything is connected, religion, war, lovemaking and death.

Some Maori people wear their pride within and have no Moko, others wear their pride upon their skin as well as within……..I wear mine both within and upon my skin.

You may lose your most valuable property through misfortune in various ways. You may lose your house, your wife and other treasures. But of your moko, you cannot be deprived except by death. It will be your ornament and companion until your last day. ~Netana Whakaari of Waimana (dated 1921).

Goethe

I've been such a couch potato this weekend but been kept entertained for a goodly portion of it by a motley Planeteer or two :sunglass:
Anyhoo, Sunday is usually a Tinkerbell day and today was no exception. So after changing out of my pyjamas, off I set into the cold evening air to visit the the madhouse of the fairy.

“We learned a lot and lost a lot of sleep.”
Mabel Smith

College day. I really did not want to get out of my pit this morning but the thought of our jolly outing to Lytham Hall motivated me to get myself up and out the door.
The Hall was an amazing Georgian edifice at the front but some parts of it were far older. In need of extensive renovation and restoration the Hall is a Grade 1 listed building and just waiting for the go ahead for a 3yr programme of restoration which should start in March next year.
We learned about some of the structural aspects of the Hall, it's decor and most interestingly for me about Harry Clifton. Harry had been a bit of a rake and gambled away much of the family money in the first part of the 20th Century.
I hope to spend some time volunteering at the Hall for my work placement this year. I'd like to get involved with tour guiding and working with kids groups.

A good time was had by all!

So, Tuesdays (and Thursdays) are Pulmonary Rehab clinic for the next six weeks.

I'm the youngest (by 15yrs) and the fittest of the group, which I give thanks for each time I attend. I'm so glad I have 50% lung function. The guy I went round the circuit with today was carrying an oxygen tank. I gave thanks that I managed to give up smoking before the oxygen thang happened to me. We have an hour of 'interesting stuff' about our lungs and their condition and we have an hour or stretching and exercise. I'm amazed at how little the folks in my group know about their condition and how little they exercise. The circuit we do is hard work and it makes me breathless, but that's what it's meant to do.

“Look in a mirror and one thing's sure; what we see is not who we are.”
Richard Bach

I met the Fag Father for a drink when he finished work. We decided that we'd try the new Wetherspoon's pub, The Layton Rakes, which opened yesterday. What I like about 'Spoons is they don't play music which means that conversations are easy to have, unlike in many bars and pubs where one has to shout to be heard. The decor was cool, with many Blackpool related items. I couldn't resist my selfie today being with this 'fun house' mirror.

“Though our feelings come and go, God’s love for us does not.”
C.S. Lewis

I've had a crap day. Felt rotten but had quite a few things to do. I had an invite from one of my college colleagues to attend a quiz night at the Salt and Light cafe which was being run by his church this evening. I hemmed and hawed about whether to go. I so glad I did.

I stopped going to church a few years ago and allowed my faith to hide it's light under the proverbial bushel.
There are people who come into our lives for a reason and I believe Paul is one of those people for me. His faith shines out of him and I remember how that used to feel. I believe I'm being encouraged back into the flock, well actually more like being dragged kicking and screaming - ever the Drama Princeling!

The quiz was really hard but we ended on a high note with some big scoring rounds and managed to come in a creditable third out of 10.

“A fight is not won by one punch or kick. Either learn to endure or hire a bodyguard.”
Bruce Lee

Just as I was about to go meet the Fag Father for a liquids, food and a bitching session, as is our wont on a Friday evening, I got a plaintive call from Tinkerbell asking if I fancied a brew and a short session of 'body-guarding' her as a particular visitor was on his way to see her. This visitor has sorta declared his interest in Tinks so whilst he is still welcome to visit she prefers someone to be there when he is. So I tillopped (a Tinks word) on round there for a brew. I was only there for half an hour until young Zacharius arrived home to take over sentry duty.

They also have bright yellow shoes. :)

Today I was amazed to see a large flock of Great White Pelicans (there must have been at least 100) feeding on a school of fish. It was right outside my window. They were all bunched together and it seemed like they were herding them to the shore. I was absolutely fascinated and watched them for at least an hour. Wow! I love Texas, it is paradise. Here is a picture similiar to what I saw. I do not have a camera but am planning on getting one soon. I have seen so many wonderful incredible sights here. Right now I am looking at great big puffs of black clouds hanging over the horizon. We just had some thunderstorms.

I’m long over due and I’m coming out slowly onto the dance floor: I’m a lovely reservoir of enchanting, mesmerizing, breath-taking, haltingly beautiful ideas that hopefully will bring you hours of pleasure (the best mind blowing sex you’ve ever had)!

I’ll begin by letting you in on a little secret of mine: I love rocks, hunting for rocks or sitting on rocks and baking like a snake in the hot summer sun, but I just love rocks of all kinds (types) and because I share an affinity for rocks, my favorite idea for the best sex ever is called Love on the Rocks!

Love on the Rocks could literally happen during any part of the day or night. It’s this crazy hot energy that’s coursing between the two of us and all I want you to do is fuck my brains out! And you will. It feels like it will be a five-day night: you, me, trees everywhere, rope, blankets, binoculars and your cockacidal brains. Because we were smart enough to pick a place in the middle of nowhere, we’ll have all the time in the world to just get naked with the truth. We’ll be on fire. Do you hear incoming bombs? Take cover – we’ll explode together soon.

“Those things that nature denied to human sight, she revealed to the eyes of the soul.”
Ovid

In the last six months I've had to give in and wear my specs most of the time. I have long sight so can cycle sans specs but pretty much everything else requires the goggles. Half of me is horrified by this turn of events, I've always been so lucky and not needed my specs apart from once in a while when tired. However, if I want to see properly I must give in to the ageing process become Spectacle Chap.

I've ALWAYS been horrified at having to wear my Specs for close-up detailed things (long sighted) - I look so prissy and strict school Head Teacher-ish it's embarrassing! *Blushes* Fortunately, my prescription has hardly changed in the last 4 years and I'm still wearing the same frames. I hate the plastic, clunky looking ones that are fashionable for women at the moment - with my round, chubby face, they look very severe! LOL! :|

I know the fashionable sort you mean - that's what I got last time as you can see. However I've been wearing my old Memoflex specs for the last few months because they're lighter and I can fall asleep without breaking them  Sadly my prescription has changed and I can't wear the bendy specs for the real close stuff now...I need a new eye test. :glasses:

Sorry you can't find any new frames you like.

No worries! I will eventually - I like the femininity of metal frames as they are smaller and more delicate looking, yet I still look Head Teacher-ish, lol!. I'm fortunate that my prescription is basically for one eye which as an Astigmatism - my beautiful heritage mixes have given me a Rugby ball eye, lol!

College day again. I slept through my alarm and was late, although it didn't matter as the morning was just a workshop session. This afternoon has been really intense with a double session about Munich. I think now that I'm coming down on the Chamberlain side in who 'won' at Munich. That could all change next week when we do a double session on the Hitler side of Munich.

In other news I got a 'designated chair' today for the first time since I started college, so now I have neck and back support whilst in class finally. Now I just need to work out the height adjustment so I don't look like a kid peeking over the dinner table. :cheesy:

All-

Sorry to be a party pooper here but I need to close this thread and ask folks to please use our gallery to post personal photos.

From this point, any thread started for the purpose of sharing personal photos will be closed. Here's why:

In our Terms of Service, we ask members not to do anything that will usurp, circumvent, aggravate or impede the natural order and administration of this website.

Part of the value of buying a membership to this site is for the privilege of posting lots of photos in our user gallery. When folks use threads as a way to bypass having to buy a membership, it is essentially lessening the value of our memberships here.

It is fine to post a photo that you find out on the internet in the "random photo" thread or game threads but please do not use the privilege of posting photos in threads to post photos of yourself, pets, or children.

This doesn't mean that we all can't post any photos of ourselves, pets, or children in the threads. Not at all! A random photo here and there in the context of a conversation is fine, it's just that we now have multiple threads on the forums being used as personal "galleries" and it is not only impossible for us to monitor all of the photos but is not what the forum is intended to be used for.

Also, please remember that nudity of any kind is never allowed on ButchFemmePlanet.com. Not in threads OR galleries.

We want folks to have a good time and appreciate your understanding here!

Much love to you all!

Thanks,
Admin
