The echos of December blow cold..the last leaves turn & twist trying to hold fast to their memories of summer.. It's hard to let go, but time, like winter, will not allow us to stand still..It still feels so good to huddle under our blankets a little longer and listen to the birds tweet their thanks as they shop at the abundantly filled feeder.. singing a song of magic, in the dark, as we drape our hearths with pine & mistletoe, and throw an offering into the fire, baking Yule cookies to share with friends..and being thankful for the abundance.

Slice an orange thinly and dry in a cool part of your house. When dry, thinly apply glue (one that dries clear) and add glitter if you like or leave plain. Create a small hole in pith and thread a small ribbon through. Tie to the branch of your tree. Beautiful.

How to make rose water- 1.ORGANIC petals must be freshly picked. 2.Pick flowers two to three hours after sunrise after the morning dew.3.Use only petals.4.Wash thoroughly.5.Place rose petals in large pot of distilled water.6.Add just enough water to cover the petals.7.Cover with lid and simmer on low flame, water should be steaming not boiling.8.Steam until petals have lost their colour and water is colour of petals and rose oil on surface.9.Strain water in container. It's almost Winter Solstice/Yule! :3 What do all of you like to do with your significant others and loved ones if you celebrate together? I would like to hear some of your plans/ideas.

My girlfriend isn't Pagan, but she's very open doing witchy things with me, so I'm still in progress thinking what we'll do together soon. We're going to celebrate late because I sadly have a final on the 22nd, so we are moving our Winter Solstice celebration to the 24th full moon.

I've always been a solitary, so I never had the actual experience celebrating the holidays with Pagans/witches :( The most is doing small celebrations with my girlfriend, but it rarely happens because of our long distance.

there was a time solstice was SO BIG in my world. Decorations, ritual creation, and oooh the cooking. In the last couple of years its been so mundane. I give those I live with new toothbrushes, new bath scrubby ball things. I did light some candles, acknowledging with intention all the light coming in to our life we have planned for the future months. I dont have community like I did back in the boisterous days, and I dont really have the resources I want to dedicate to be ring leader for all that hullabaloo-woo either.

Tomorrow is a special day for many. For me it is the 100th anniversary of my mothers birth. She has been dead for many years, but I still think of her almost every day. She was a wonderful mother, and I was lucky to have her.

Interesting...I honestly understand why...because I felt that way from time to time when I first left Christianity...but I had dedicated myself and knew there was no turning back and besides everything about my life was honestly good...the goddess has never let me down, not that she hasn't said no but wisdom was then and continues to be something I count on..it's nice to have her company....altho i understand having a dogma can be very comforting but rarely gives one any happiness..i don't know any happy Christians, they are always afraid of censure, rules etc...no..you do not have to feel pain in order to have a heaven..there is room for all...including the bad ones :) j/s

yup i have combined a few altars on to one... i change things out often and *feed* it every weekend.

My favorite is a photo of Goddess Fortuna (i didn't want to get a statue off of eBay so i printed a pretty pic) and my Oshun statue...

I can’t even bring up Z.Budapest’s site for some reason? I read that she and her partner parted ways so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it? I read that her partner started her own Dianic Website but it says it’s temporarily down for now.
