I'll add some:

Your brain operates on 10 watts of power: It’s true: The amazing computational power of your brain only requires about 10 watts of power to operate.

Your feet can produce a pint of sweat a day: There are 500,000 (250,000 for each) sweat glands in your feet, and that can mean a great deal of stinky sweat.

Being right-handed can prolong your life: If you’re right-handed, you could live up to nine years longer than a lefty.

Bullet proof vests, fire escapes, windshield wipers, and laser printers were all invented by women. :)

Most lipstick contains fish scales.

And, the best for last.....Turtles can breathe through their butts.

The Japanese do have some very odd traits when it comes to certain things....my Japanese houuse make gave me a boyfriend pillow as a gift. I wasn't sure what to do with it whilst at the same time not offend her....I made a pink 'shirt' to fit it and explained why. Fortunately she was very understanding about it, lol!

About a third of all Americans flush the toilet while they're still sitting on it

This is not a good idea as urine particles can shoot up to 6 feet when flushing the toilet. I try to remember to shut the lid before I flush, so I certainly wouldn't want to still be sitting there!

This is very true and scientifically proven. But it's everything that flies up, not just urine particles. Anything trapped in that bowl with the water goes whoosh and up, up and away. So, unless you've JUST scrubbed it really good with bleach or whatever you use....

Ebon and I have had multiple debates about this.

Yes, multiple.

However, if it's the difference between flushing it while you are on it and flooding my bathroom, you had BEST flush.

Just sayin'.
