It looks interesting. I'm actually very interested in seeing it. Not a trans movie (at least, I don't think so) but more of a battle-against-misogynistic society movie.

Anyone see it at the various Film Festivals? I know it was a choice for TFF.

I've wanted to see this movie for a while now. Glenn Close is an excellent actress and while I don't think it's designed to fight the trans fight, I do believe that there's a strong link in there, somewhere.

Linus, I agree with you in that there's a "battle-against-misogynistic society" movie as well.

Very complex and I know I'm going to come out of the theatre improved in how I see the world.

Interesting. Comes out 1/27 or there about as I understand it.

I saw the trailer for it while waiting for "A Dangerous Method" to start. It looked quite good. I look forward to watching it.

Definitely want to see this. I love when he asked him his name, and he said Albert. Then asked no what's your real name, and he said Albert.

We saw Albert Nobb's yesterday, and although the acting for Glenn Close was okay, I had trouble with both of the "butch" women being either abused or raped, thus the reasons for them being butch. With Glenn Close it was a matter of being forced to support herself at 14 after she had been raped, and needing to get a job as a waiter, that she put on men's clothes.

I get that with a movie of that length there probably wasn't time to go into that kind of depth, but in "my" opinion it didn't do much for the general publics view, that in some way we are all gay because we are damaged, or that we choose.
