Hey guys...

I had a up and coming butch email me about Packing and hy is a bit shy about asking questions regarding this subject. What better place to get answers than the Planet.

I don't know enough about packing to help hym out.. so if you all could lean your experiences and expertise's....

I hope I didn't miss another thread about this.. I did look and didn't see anything...

It kind of depends on the type of packing this person wants to do. Do they want to pack hard or soft? Plan on packing and playing?

I, personally, have made my boxer briefs packer friendly because I didn't care for any of the holster type straps that I have bought over the years. There are certain times I like to pack to play, but for the most part I pack soft.

I use hem tape to close the front of the pouch opening, and iron a patch of fabric on the back of the pouch (on the inside of the boxer briefs), then I cut a hole in that fabric so that the packer can fit through snugly (so it doesn't fall out). I iron the fabric patch on the back so the stretchy fabric of the briefs doesn't stretch out, causing the packer to work itself loose and possibly fall out when using the restroom. (this may or may not have happened to me once......ONCE :winky:)

Happy packing!!

Much like G's innovation these have a soft O ring in the construction. For use with soft or packnpee.

I have spent a lot of time trying to "perfect" the packing experience. There are so many combinations, variations and products to consider. I try to keep it simple.

Soft pack -- I have yet to find a soft packer that I like. Soft packing, just for the aesthetics, can be done a zillion ways. I simply prefer a manageable (i.e. small) soft packer held nicely in a good snug pair of boxer briefs.

Hard pack -- My recent preferred method is the Goodfella cock (again, smallish but bendable) in the Aslan Undercover Harness. This harness is quite comfortable, but not built for vigorous play. I like to strap tight for better control. This harness does not allow that, but it would allow for less vigorous activity, such as blowjobs.

The best thing to do is try a few things out to see what works for you.

I too have spent years trying to "perfect". Sometimes, for me anyway, its just not comfortable. I mean physically, not emotionally or psychologically. I'm good there. I think it just might be a "thing" with me though. Kinda like, if my socks aren't on the right feet, my feet feel weird all day. If my cock isn't in the right spot and stay there, it feels weird all day.

What I'm trying now is, I got some compression shorts and O rings. I cut a small X (a little smaller than the center of the O ring) put the O ring in place and folded the "tabs" over around it (on the inside, then tacked the tabs down with a few stitches on each. Then cut fabric into a donut shape and stitched it on the inside of the shorts for some extra strength because the shorts stretch so much. I put the hole where it would need to be for a pack and play, so I could stick it through to play. (like Hack said, good for blowjobs) I have not had the pleasure to see how well it works in that aspect. It doesn't seem to matter the hole is there for a soft pack. So far, it's not too bad. The shorts are snug enough to keep things in place for the most part.

Hard pack is altogether a different ballgame.

Heh, even a blow job can be more vigorious than actual sex.....is it just me? :winky:

I have always had this little fear in my head that she would go at it a little more wild than my aparatus can handle and it yanks off in her hand/mouth. Though I am sure we would both have a good laugh about it in the end. :winky:

First of all, I almost feel like an intruder in on this thread again. I do not pack myself, I just personally just appreciate that there are butches that DO!

I also am not intending to be disrespectful in any way to anyone. Please forgive this femme who is in a new relationship, flush with lust and giddy with all the hormones that sex with a new partner will bring (oof!). yeah, I spend most of my days with a silly-assed grin on my face!

When I re-read G's post detailing how hy "used hem tape to close the front of the pouch opening...etc", I just could NOT get this picture out of my head.....of a long-ago Home Ec class, offering tips ala Hints from Heloise, on how to retro fit boxers to hold a cock, to a roomful of butches! *wild giggling!*

However you all do it, PLEASE don't stop! Hard pack, soft pack, I for one love the feel of it, and knowing it is THERE! I love reaping the benefits of your creativity! Woo-Hoo!

... totally respect the soft pack & the creativity for sure ..
however, personally, the only time I pack is when I know play is going to be involved & want the freedom to be "ready"... not to mention the responses from the femme "discovering" ........hmmm anyway off track...

I pack with a harness.. with the straps I can tighten(not elastic)... with a hard, but bendable cock... that has the feel & appearance of a nice bulge under a pair of boxer briefs....
Holds tight to the body...& is very sturdy for any amount of vigor ..

;)

At the suggestion of a rather clever femme, I sewed the pouch of my boxer briefs to secure my soft packer. I didn't fully sew it closed, just tacked it in two places on the outside opening and one place on the inside opening. This allows for fairly easy insertion and adjustment but leaves basically no risk of it falling out. It was a simple and effective solution.

Additionally, I can use those same briefs to hold my hard packer in place for some types of activities. For more vigorous sex, I use a harness with adjustable straps. My new hard pack is not as bendy as my old one, so wearing it under clothing is not practical, but I still have my older one if I want to do that.

I've been dating someone who uses the Rodeo. It's a snug fitting, sturdy brief that double as a harness. No sewing necessary, and she can wear them all day since they're as comfortable as any other brief.

http://rodeoh.com/shop.html

I just visited the website via the above link for the first time. WTF? The models for this brief are all hyper femme! Really? WTF? Take my word for it that the briefs are perfectly appropriate for a butch. Geez.

And I can attest that they stand up to vigorous usage.

First of all, I would like to say Thank you for all the posts. I have found them to be very helpful.

Second of all, I am new to this subject. I am definitely wanting to learn more and start packing. What would be the best "starter" packer? I will be interested in a STP.
Thanks in advance for all your help

Hey KerrieH, I just looked at goodvibes.com (there's lots of different stores, this one's a local-ish for me so I support them).

Right on their home page is a video and a soft pack...take a look. There are a couple of briefs and soft packs, there's not a huge selection. Lots of harder models and choices though.

When I was a young buck, I was given a tip on packing by an old school butch. This is what you do: Take two pairs of tight briefs, turn the first one inside out, put your equipment throught the flap, put the other over, normally. If you need to use it, it will hold up to just about anything as long as they are Tight! Been doing it for years, works great and I don't have to buy anything fancy or exspensive.

I just thought I'd get on here and share how I use my "home ec" education to help my @ out...

I do similar to what both G and Slater do, by hand sewing the front opening of @'s briefs or boxer briefs closed. This takes advantage of the "pocket" that is already there; @ slips his packer in the opening on the inside, and it also puts a layer of cotton between his skin & the packer. He has not said anything about the fabric stretching out on the inside...

At first I just did a few stitches like Slater does, but they just wouldn't stay in and I would have to fix them after a few wash & wears. So now I stitch the entire opening from top to bottom. I do it by hand because so you can't see the sewing... I like the idea @ would pass even in his underwear (he uses the modified briefs and boxer briefs only for soft packing.) I like to think even if anyone should ever launder them they wouldn't see it.

I am working on ideas to fix other types of underwear, and also a swimsuit he just got, along the lines of sewing a pocket inside. I think it is best to make sure it stretches with the fabric, or else it might be uncomfortable or not last as long.

Do any of you guys pack daily that don't "pass" as male? I'd really like to pack every day but I don't ID as male or present as male so I spend a lot of energy on trying to hide the fact that I'm packing to the public (baggy pants, long shirts, etc.) and end up just not doing it because it causes me anxiety that I just don't need on a daily basis. I'd be interested in hearing from any of you that pack regularly and how you feel about people recognizing this aspect out in public...or if that's even a concern for you.

Thanks in advance,

When I pack I do it for me, not for John Q Public, so my presenting isn't a statement of who I am as much as it is a personal recognition that this is me. Hope that made some sense as I'm a bit loopy. I am comfortable in who I am, but that doesn't mean I'm not careful as to where I am. People in my life are very accepting, it's the idiots who tend to give the ebil eye that I ignore, nothing worse than ignorant humans. Good thing I don't pay them any mind, 'cause really it's about being comfortable in my skin, not their acceptance, or lack thereof. I walk through the world with my head held high and in full confidence of my personal space. Now one must always be aware of their surroundings, not every one has a handle on their opinions or mouths.

I don't present as male and rarely pass as such, but I pack pretty regularly. I don't really worry all that much about people noticing. I won't say it never crosses my mind, and I know that the bulge is more noticable in some clothes than others. But I figure most people are probably not paying attention to my crotch in the first place, and even if they do notice and actually realize it's not just an odd crease, so what? So they learned a little something about me that perhaps they would rather have not known. Oh well.

Can I ask, what are you worried will happen if people do notice? Are you worried about people you know or strangers?

Slater, I'm pretty new to all this..just about a year now so I am not as secure in my "butch-hood" as some of you yet. I'm concerned mostly about comments from people I know but there is always the concern from the general population too. Probably just being self conscious and curious if I'm the only one.

Hey Mav,

I have large breasts that I do not bind and a voice that usually declares female... and I get called “sir” regularly – I believe because of my haircut and my clothes – thus, generally speaking, I believe people out in public are not really seeing me.

Once, I walked into Good Vibrations in Oakland and the young butch woman behind the counter immediately checked out my crotch – that is the only time I ever noticed anybody checking….and it made me smile.

If presenting as male in very male space like a bar or restroom I would be very careful…but say, in a women’s bar, I would love to be groped. ;-)

Maybe just a little more time to get a little more comfortable… strangers won't ask if they notice and friends you can talk to...

JistMe
07-01-2012, 08:31 PM
I don't 'try' to pass as male. Sometimes I am called sir, or he... some people dont bat an eye and call me she... and some people dont know what to do, so they just stare.

As Corkey said, I do it for me. There's a certain confidence that comes in that package. It's almost like my "superman suit." No one has to know it's there, and frankly -- I wouldn't care if they did.

I don't worry about what people think -- despite living in a very small, redneck, conservative town. An old boom mining town.... Camo trucks, and Copenhagen. I would rather feel like my best self with it, than feel small without it.

And usually....... if anyone asks or says anything, I reply..... loudly... with seven little words:

"Why are you staring at my crotch?"

That usually flusters them, and shuts them up.

Corkey

Mav, I have a question for you, if you don't want to answer that's perfectly fine.
How does packing make you feel? Do you feel in your skin when you do? Is it something that is a part of you, or just something you want to explore? I ask because each one of us are different, and our reasons for packing, or not, are just as individual. So my advice, if you were to ask would be...just do what feels right for you and the rest be damned, ya' know? :)
Says the ol' fart who doesn't give a patoote if it's PC or not..

Well, I'm fairly new to packing as well as ID'ing as TG butch so there are a lot of things going on with me right now and I'm still adjusting to all of that. How does it make me feel? It makes me feel complete and whole...like the part of me that I sense being there is actually there now. It makes me feel confident and a little "cocky" lol. I love it and would like to do it often or daily. As a couple of you have said, I think I just need some time to feel comfortable with it. And I love the come back.."why are you staring at my crotch?"

Thanks everyone for your input.

Don't know where else to post something like this, but anyone just start packing or remember what that was like?

I'm looking at something called the peecock, the 3 function in one specifically, almost $200 damn. My gf and I arnt doing so great, and its causing me to focus on myself and I want out of life, and I'm thinking I want to pack.

I feel like there is something missing, those of you that pack probably get that. I'm worried I'm gonna buy this thing and try it, then get freaked out over the initial trials of wearing it in public or having to adjust it. I donno, I can just see myself walking around in walmart all awkward trying to get used to it. lol anybody go through this?

I really want to pack, but then I feel like my life would get 1000x more complicated. I'm already a butch that likes other butches, then on top of that I'm sub or bottom, (or prefer to be told what to do, moved around, I freakin think too much, so its fun not have to think about anything.) So I feel like I'm on the worlds rarest island. Do I really want to add packing to that?

So what was it like for you when you first started packing?
Would love to here from ftm's too

Start here to see if packing suits you. Get the 3.5 because that is closest to what a bio male's flaccid penis is. Then you won't look like an idiot with some big dick in your pants.

I chose the above site for you to get your packer from because their manufacturer of Mr. Limpy/Mr. Softy is Fleshlight, which I think is the most realistic. They only have vanilla and caramel though, so if you need a darker color to match your skin tone, google to go somewhere else.

Also, butches/transguys often wear the packer too high. The shaft should line up with your clitoris.

How you put/keep your packer in your pants is very individual. You can get shorts that are made for packers, use traditional jock straps, or other contraptions individuals have come up with. Some people just stuff it in their tight pair of briefs. Google is your friend, here.

Dust your packer in this after washing or it will be sticky:

Amazon.com: Kama Sutra Sweet Honeysuckle Honey Dust Body Powder -- 8 oz: Beauty

It also has a nice taste if you ever use your packer in play.

People will not notice your packer in Walmart. In more intimate company they might, but really that is only going to happen if they are looking for it. Again, choosing the 3.5 will make it less obvious. Where it around the house until you get comfortable with it.

Another suggestion. It seems as though you are seeing packing as an all or nothing deal. That you either do it, or you don't. I would suggest not seeing it that way. See it as something you want to try. Maybe it will suit you, maybe it won't. You can pack every once in a while. You are not signing your name in blood as a "packing butch", if you try it! :-)

I will be happy to talk with you through PM if you would like.

Yeah I would try a cheaper version before you do the peecock. I have heard from too many guys that the peecock takes a lot of practice and lots more practice to get it right. and when you practice, practice in the shower because you will piss yourself.

If you just want the bulge in your pants go for a packer and not the STP stated above. But if you want to Stand To Pee, get what is stated above or something similar.

Good luck!!

Years and years ago I was packing for the first time and chose a Saturday nite at a busy gas station in Sacramento, somehow, as my maiden voyage. No one noticed and I didnt know any better about packers so I was wearing a 6" hardpack. Later at a leather bar...the men there noticed for sure..lol and they appreciated.

Dapper sez right. It isnt a signature in blood. Whether you pack once or four times or all the time.....It is all good. We all feel like we are islands somedays okay?

Thanks for the help you guys; yeah cheaper would be awesome, and if I would have to practice with the peecock 10 million times it might make me too paranoid to use it in public. That mr. limpy thing does look like a good alternative. STP I think is my main goal besides packing.

True about nothing having to be set in stone, or blood lol, definitely something for me to keep in mind. I didn't realize you had to powder these things either, so thanks for the pointer. Hopefully this won't be too much maintenance, I'm a roll outta bed and go kinda person.

Anyone have any advise on harnesses? I really want to be able to still wear my boxers, I don't like briefs or trunks. And the strap on harness I currently have falls off all the time and drives me insane. It was something from fairvilla though, not a ftm store.

It was something from fairvilla though, not a ftm store

You guys are the bomb, thanks again

I have stuffs about keeping yer packy chap firmly in place but not currently in a position to type out a proper response on th'iphonio. I'm sure the other chaps have plenty of handy hints and tips too.

What happens if you use talc? I never thought to do that.

I keep a convenient little baggie of cornflour in the bathroom for the little chap after his daily shower/bath :|

Increased risk of ovarian cancer. Asbetos free talc may not cause this, but it is still being determined.

Your best bet if you want to wear briefs is either jock straps or, like I said google FTM websites. I posted the link for The self made man. Here is another one http://www.thetransitionalmale.com/gear.html that sells the "cock sock".

I think you will find that there will be a lot of trial and error until you figure out what suits you best.

Very cool. Have not heard of this brand. I have been buying the Sparparts Pete boxer briefs...

http://www.myspare.com/product/pete

These are great for both play and packing :)

The Spare parts Pete boxerbriefs aren't for play, though, are they? Afaik there are no boxer briefs available in stores that can be used for sex/as a harness as well. But has anyone here actually made the Pete boxer briefs work successfully for a hard pack? Currently I use the Tom Boi briefs from spare parts and like them...but would love boxer briefs.

Haha I bet there's a butch out there thinking the same! I'm new to packing honestly-never took it out of the bedroom until recently. The reason I started actually had a lot to do with exploring this site...and some other stuff. I might actually post something about this little evolution of my identity and expression I've been having over the past year. Anywayyyyyy not the right thread for that!

So I recently wore my harness and dick around the house without letting my wife know. I was determined to let her find it on her own. It took like two hours lol but finally she came and sat down on the couch and was very pleasantly surprised. Since then I've packed around the house several times and it is really fun, usually on the weekends and it is basically like hours of foreplay. Very cool.

So inevitably I have gotten the urge to "take it on the road" so to speak. But the dick I wear is hard and rather large and not sure I'm ready to make that statement. So looking for something discrete but can rise to the occasion (pun intended) if me and my girl wanna have some fun.

I personally do not think that a decent one has ever been made.

Your best bet is the Peacock in my opinion:

You need a rod for play. I don't know if you are interested in STPing, but that is part of the packer. I don't know of a better pack n play than this.

I hear the detailed paint is a waste of money. Evidently it washes off pretty quickly.

Thanks Dapper! Wow those things are amazing!

Do you have one? Mind if I ask how it has worked out for you? If that's too personal a question no worries I completely understand. It's just that's a lot of money for me so I don't think I'd bother with it if it is gonna be a mediocre results. I mean they are amazing and if I was just interested in packing and stp it'd be great but I'm primarily looking for something I can "play" with. Hopefully that makes sense :)

I do not have one, but I have read a lot of reviews and spoken to a number of people. The Peacocks have been around for a long time and are a respected company. However, I hear that they tear if you buy the harness they actually sell with them. Go figure.

If your goal is to be able to play with the item you are packing with, than it is a good choice.

If you want to go crazy nuts and get something amazing, then check out ReelMagik: http://www.reelmagik.com/ftm-store-directory/pack-n-play.html

You have to shave your mons pubis and glue it on. Very complicated.

I personally, have always been happy with just a XS Mr. Limpy for packing and I play with something else. But, for butches/trans guys who want to be able to go to the bar with a packer and then use the same item for sex, the Peacock is the only decent one out there. Everything else is crazy large and can't be packed comfortably.

For me though, I just accepted that outside of Reel Magik, there just isn't a pack n play that would work for me. And I am ok with that.

Dapper- that realmagick is incredible but not for me. I don't really want something I can't take off. It has been very educational though :) it will be interesting to see where the tech is at in another 10 years. I might go for the peacock when I have the money or just say screw it and hard pack haha..thanks for the info!

No problem. The Realmagik wouldn't suit me either, I just thought I would show you something amazing. It is crazy what they can do with silicone. Their main income is Halloween masks and other masks. One of the owners is a trans guy, so that is how they got into the packer business. The wait time is about a year after ordering.

I personally think anything longer than a flaccid average male 3.5 inches looks ridiculous in pants, but that is just me. I'd do the short Peacock if being able to use something besides my hand in a quick moment was important to me.
