I'm a newbie from the Tampa Bay area. Just stopped in to say hello, introduce myself and perhaps make some new friends. I'm off now to peruse the site and see what's what and who's who.

Hi I am new to the site too and wanted to say welcome and boy do I miss the Fl. weather already and I have only been gone 2 months. Haven't decided what is worse the Bradenton summer heat or the bitter cold of Illinois. My bones say the cold!

Thanks for the welcome Alix. I used to live in Illinois as a very young girl, and remember those bitter cold winters. I've decided I'd much rather have the heat of the summer, so here is where I hang my hat... my oversized floppy sun hat!

I LOVED when I lived down in Gulfport...I LOVE Captiva & Sanibel...and the Sunshine Skyway Bridge...as well as that fine, sugar sand of Clearwater Beach...

you are so welcome....enjoy that gorgeous part of Florida. Sometime mosey on over to the St. Augustine area..it is the Nation's Oldest City...lots of cool things to see, places to explore, and a really awesome charm to it....smiles....it is my fave city in the whole USA.

I love going to the Manatees springs, watching those gorgeous creatures in their habitat...as well as seeing all that Fla has to offer...I LOVE Key West..having lived there a year in 1963....a time of history being made....but St. Augustine is my all time fave place int he whole USA!

I haven't made it to Manatee Springs yet, but I'm looking forward to exploring this lovely state!
