Hey folks,

I just joined the site and thought an introduction would be appropriate so I can get to know some people.

I'm young, living in Canada, and hoping to reap the benefits of some older, wiser dykes willing to share their experiences. I have been living in a University town for a number of years that has a sizeable LGBTQ community, but haven't been able to carve a niche into yet. I've been trying to motivate myself to be more outgoing and actively seek more queer company, and thought that maybe joining this community might help. I'm finishing my graduate degree and trying to look forward to making more lasting connections outside student culture.

I'm really looking forward to seeing where you all come from and the wisdom you might impart if you'll all oblige me.

Welcome! I'm just curious of your province-I'm doing genealogy and most of my ancestors (so far) hail from southern Ontario (Elgin county). But that's just me; it's cool if you want to stay more anonymous.

I do think you have to put yourself out there (says the terminally shy me) :). But welcome to the Planet here, too!
