I love the show. Maggie is my favorite and if I had my way, she would be mine lol. I just watched the first two seasons on xmas day and then the first part of the third season. Now I'm ready for tonight!

I have to stay I can't stand the cop guy. He is annoying!

*Laughs at myself* Okay so Zombies creep me out and that show scares me. I don't know if there's much gore? Is there? I tried to watch one episode and I made it a whole 3 minutes!

I figured checking this thread out may prepare me to try it again someday. Surely I wouldn't get scared here! I was wrong. I just saw the picture you posted of that zombie woman, got startled and spilled my tea.

I really love the show - it just stresses me out. lol

I was at a friend's house and she wanted to watch an episode somewhere in the middle of season 2 and I had never seen the show but didnt care what we watched, so we watched that episode and I was hooked.

I went home and watched the entire first season on Netflix in one sitting and then caught the first part of season 2 in re-runs, then watched every episode of season 2.

Season 3 found me without cable, so I subscribed to the show on Amazon and every Sunday night, several hours after the episodes would air, they would become available on Amazon and I would download them to my TiVo.

But after watching the 1st episode of season 3, I got so stressed out - I was yelling at the TV: "dont walk there, you're going to get bit! you're going to get bi---DOH! see I told you!!" - I had to stop watching for a while - so I am saving them, but I *will* get back to the show. :winky:

Oh and I dont know about anyone else, but I dont care about spoilers - I figure if I really didnt want to know anything coming up, I would avoid things like this thread. :winky:

So I lol'd the other night when watching Big Bang Theory and Sheldon gave a spoiler about someone who dies in the first half of season 3 -- I wondered how many people who havent seen it but will got upset at that reveal. lol

Also, I have to say that I cant believe it took them this long to figure out that they needed to use silencers on their guns so as not to attract attention from the walkers!

I love the show, and I love when Gaige and I point out the ways Zombies in general could not exist. Like, why do they need to eat, if their organs are dead? What is all that noise coming out of their mouths if they aren't breathing? Etc. We logic it to death, pun intended.

Yet, we can't stop enjoying zombie shows and movies.

I think they have done an exceptional job on this show. I look forward to each new season.

And I used to think the same things when I would watch Angel or Buffy TVS - how are these vampires able to bleed so much when they have no working heart to pump blood? etc. lol

I'm a huge Dead fan...

Michonne is my girl...Darrel is my guy...

I'm so looking forward to learning more about Michonne. Where did the Katana come from, how did she learn to use it, who were her pets? so many questions...

I adore Darrel... the emotional growth, the blooming of a person.. Just lovely...

Personally, I want the show to hurry up and move past the mayor dude.. I absolutly hate him...

I project freetved all of the seasons and am really impressed with the quality of the show.. it just keeps getting better... (unlike american horror story and tru blood)

Excited to see how the new season is going to go...

Hollylane introduced me to this show last year. Thank you sweetheart. I absolutely LOVE this show. I’m not quite caught up yet. I think I’ve missed the last 3 or 4 episodes of season 3 so I won’t be watching the new episodes until I get a chance to catch up. Oddly, for as much as I love the show, more characters annoy me than those that don’t. yeah I guess I would consider Daryl my favorite. He reacts quickly without a second thought.

Yes, I love seeing Daryl start to show his inner-self, and seeing behind the big mask, the big wall that he puts up. He also makes quick, logical decisions that save peoples' lives.

Shane did that too, but there was a lot more selfishness in his actions/decisions. Plus, I just found him to be an asshole, an unapologetic, selfish, egotistical, sexually abusive, manipulative, arrogant asshole. I was not sorry to see him go.

I *LOVE* the show. Watch it every week. I even am fortunate to have been able to interpret The Walking Dead panels at Comic Con the past two years and stand near the actors and get the inside scoop!!! Haha :) it's such an amazing show, and I hope it keeps it's momentum!!

Ok... So another so-so episode!!! What's going on?? I remember being completely sucked in and on the edge of my seat before, and now? Blah. A whole episode about Morgan? I thought it was cool that he was brought back and to find out what happened to him and Duane, but I dunno. Maybe he will come back and help fight in the end.

Totally blown away by zombie Merle and poor Darryl, when he saw Merle chewing...

Wow. I did not see that coming!

I have let out a couple of screams the past few weeks (zombie behind tree with Andrea and then Michonne tied to porch because of Merle with car alarm, ie; dinner bell) much to the delight of my butch.

Love, love this show.

Ahahahaha - I yelled during this last one - I yelled at Merle to free Macchone, Macchone to kill the walkers, and Merle again to shoot the Governor. lol

I also felt really bad for Daryl ... Merle was an ass, but his brother and he loved him - and Merle tried to redeem himself there at the end, so yeah - it was sad to see Daryl (one of my faves) go through that. :(

I finally sat down this week to watch season 3 because I kept seeing so many spoilers that I just said, damn I need to watch this and see what they are all talking about! So I am all caught up and waiting for this Sunday. :winky:

That's exactly what i asked when Rick, et. al. hit Woodbury - where the hell did the Governor go???

Then when they came back to the prison with the busload of people, I was all, why didnt they join them all in the town instead of the other way around - it's safer and more secure, has more food, guns, etc .....

I'm bummed that Andrea died as well :(

I think Andrea didnt get shot. I think the governor killed Machhone. And Andrea turned and he is going to keep her like he kept his daughter. Afterall, all we know is we heard a gunshot behind closed doors.

That would be an interesting ending, but Micchone went back with them to the prison - you can see her by the truck as Carol passes by both her and Daryl to walk towards the newcomers - she (Micchone) is actually approaching the back of the truck where the wrapped up body of Andrea is.

Considering Andrea could have killed the Governor and avoided a shitload of bloodshed but she passed on it because she kinda fell in love/lust with the Gov.

And then,

She had a nice, long chat with Milton while he was dying and quickly becoming a zombie, when she could have gotten those toes a-moving a little faster to get the damn pliers but noooo!!

l will miss Rick and the gang this coming Sunday night and will just have to make due with Mad Men and then, after that, Breaking Bad.

Another Walking Dead fan here! Me and D rented the first two seasons on DVD... and were hooked. We were so excited that season 3 was starting up, but didn't realize that it was the second half of the season. So, we didn't watch any of the new episodes because we are behind :(

Question, does anyone know when the complete set of season 3 is gonna come out on video? We soooo need to catch up!

You can rent or buy it on iTunes :) I don't know about DVD.

I just checked Amazon and they dont even have a release date set for the DVDs of the 3rd season - but you can buy each episode individually ($2.18 ea, after taxes or $34.88 for all 16 episodes) and watch them on-line or on a device which can accept streaming video - that's what I did because I didnt have AMC for the first half of season 3, so I bought each episode right after it aired and downloaded them into my TiVo.

Netflix only has seasons 1-2 available as well. :(

Correct me if I am wrong, but from your post it sounds like you all get AMC on your TV - AMC shows and re-shows their TV program episodes all the time, so you might could catch a marathon or at least all of the season 3 episodes over the summer if you keep on the lookout for it. :winky:

I thought I'd resurrect the thread (ha!), because I was thinking about The Walking Dead today. I am totally stoked for the new season. The hard part for Gaige and I, is that she likes to watch each episode as it airs, and I refuse to watch it until there are at least 3 or 4 episodes, because 1 is never enough... So, Gaige is chomping at the bit to talk about each episode as it airs, and I'm like "NO!!! Don't tell me anything!!!"...Fun times to come!!!

I'm totally with you on this - last season, I actually waited until almost the end of the season. Once I caught wind that Lori died, I couldnt take it and sat down to watch all that I had saved, which was everything but the last episode. Then waiting that week for that last episode about killed me. lol

After talking about the show with a childhood friend of mine, she pointed out one huge reason I was more "Daryl" than "Glenn": I'd never put up with the shit Glenn did i.e. being lowered into a well. She told me she knew I'd put myself at risk to protect others, but I'm not as "standoffish" as Daryl. Apparently from our conversation, I'm the softer side of Daryl, like when he is comforting Carol.

Love both characters! And I was flattered when my friend said that. But c'mon... Glenn and Maggie. Glenn and MAGGIE! How can you resist Maggie? <drools>

I saw the first two seasons-- had to cancel cable TV halfway thru Season 2, so thank God for Netflix. STILL waiting for Season 3 on Netflix and bugging out because I wanna see it but can't-- or can't find it online without having to download special viewers and other programs I don't want to "risk". If anyone knows of a place online to see it that doesn't require that, please let me know, would you?

I canceled my cable TV right before season 3, so I feel you - but instead of waiting for it to come on Netflix, I just bought it on Amazon. I bought it an episode at a time, $2 each episode, each week as they aired, so it didnt feel like I was spending a lot. lol

I canceled my cable TV right before season 3, so I feel you - but instead of waiting for it to come on Netflix, I just bought it on Amazon. I bought it an episode at a time, $2 each episode, each week as they aired, so it didnt feel like I was spending a lot. lol

Yeah, I'll eventually break down and get the seasons all on DVD. Wanted to go the cheap (read: Free) route til finances were better. Thanks for the info though-- I wasn't aware Amazon even offered those services!

it has been pretty chilly and down right cold at times here in Baltimore. I have 3 Nieces who will join me this evening as they have since the season started! I am ready with a pot of hot cocoa to help warm their squeals while guessing at whats going to happen next! So it is us 4 zombies and our cups of warmth tonight!! :)

Although I have been a fan since the beginning, I have to admit I am not impressed with how this season has played out so far. I feel like it is more soap opera like than what I have been accustomed to....those long pauses, looks and such. Also seems there is a few minutes of stuff happening per show and the rest of the time all drama..... I hope this changes for me...cause I love me some zombies!! And I love TWD........<worried>

Does anyone else feel like this??

I still can't believe it.

I would like to talk about it here. One of the best/worst episodes ever in the 4 seasons.

We are eagerly awaiting season 5, which starts October 12th.

It took me a little while to really try watching this show. It just looked stupid to me for some reason, but then my mom got addicted to it and I was looking for something to watch at one point and decided to give it a shot. One very long binge later, I was hooked!!!

I'm going to try not to even watch the trailers because to me they are spoilers. BUT Ocyober 12th is a long time away and I am not sure I have that kin of willpower LOL!

I don't know if it is true but I read on a blog this morning, that on the The Walking Dead page on Facebook, a spoiler for tonight's show was posted.

It may be false but I did not want to verify it and then read the spoiler (If there was a spoiler to be read).

The Walking Dead is serious business in our house.

The zombie apocalypse could happen, you know?

I always say that to my babe and I always get a big laugh from her (which I always love-the making her laugh part) but part of my primitive, scardy-cat brain thinks: "there is always a chance....."

The final episode was epic! This season has been so much better then the season they introduced Neegan. When they killed Glenn, they lost me for that entire season. I was upset they killed him as he was supposed to live!! Also I couldn't stand Neegan and his control over Rick and the community in Alexandria. Much happier with this outcome(at least so far):sunglass:

I love Eugene's mullet and want that style to come back again!

my least favorite character on TWD is Carl. Most favorite is a tie between Darryl and Carol.

I am a faithful watcher of the show...been there every season!
