I think the "naked babies in washtubs with plastic duckies and bottles of baby powder" portraits are CREEPY.

I've been saying it a fair bit lately about the critter that's been getting in my attic lately and playing with a hickory nut in a corner it's cleared of insulation, just above my desk. I went up to the attic to see what it was - first time I've seen my attic since moving in 5.5 years ago - and could only see eyes reflecting back at me in the darkness. It might be a feral cat, as my daughter insists, but it might not. I do know it's too big to be a rat or squirrel and doubt it's a possum, which suggests coon, cat, or demon. Or I suppose it could be Geoffrey, the laundry gnome who steals socks. Anyhow, creepy! :football:

Oh. Hudson.
I am laughing so hard right now, I can hardly type.
Wait! I have that bark cloth!
Oh. And the pink Miss Kitty Curtains. (No, I don't have those!)
This definitely qualifies as Creepy with a side of Fascination.
Oh. You said bark cloth. Do it again.

How about the folks who proudly share with you how many times
they snoop through their neighbors window to see what they
are having for dinner so they can inivte themselves over...then
they show up right after you pull a roast outta yer oven.

OK, what about things that go bump in the night?
Or
What about people?
Ya know those that ya may see walking doiwn the street and you swear they are following you?
Perhaps someone you know has a creepy motive in being close to you, the kind that give ya the heebie jeebies!
Have you ever had those hang up calls in the middle of the night?
Has anyone ever said "they want to be like you?
:deepthoughts:
Have you ever seen the dark shadows?
< the ones that just seem to float?>
I'm not sure which is creepier.. the creepy old guy or the creepy vigilante...

Creepy is our old neighbor. As soon as the weather gets hot, he is sleeping naked on his front porch. And NO, it is not a private front porch in any sense.
Kids in the neighborhood have nicknamed him 'the dangler'.

My next door neighbor introduces herself as the Angel of God, then she tells people that she is Native American and might have to scalp them......it is all very creepy 'cause she means it
I had a Priority package screw up and had to pick it up... the mail supervisor handed me the package and when I grabbed wouldn't let go... leaning over and talking while we both had a death grip on the package... at least 60-90 seconds. 0.0.
Then the next day, he was delivering our mail, and he keeps looking back at our windows after delivering as he walks away and since all my "missing" packages (5 now) I have to go pick up and mostly deal with him... I dunno, just seems slightly creepy and weird. I'm expecting one today... *sigh and eyeroll* lol
(good though he's not delivering my mail anymore)

In my late teens/early 20s while i still lived in Indiana there was this much older woman--the neighborhood kids called her the lady in black. Every night at dusk she would put a candle in her window, and come out dressed all in black with a veil and alternate between sitting on her porch and walking about 20 ft in each direction from her porch. ALL night long. What made it creepier is the street was lined with tress so the street lights casted crazy shadows.
Turns out she had lost her husband and son in some war,and went"crazy" and was "waiting" on their return---Sad once that came out,but creept til then.
