Like ocean waves come to shore,
Tears roll down my face

Where you once resided in my heart
Is now left and empty space

The unspoken words, sit still in time
Knowing full well, eventually everything will be fine

The plans we made together soon will fade away
Like waves to the ocean never to come again.

Autumn leaves turn colors in the trees
Change of season, blowing in the breeze

The paths in life we must take
Yes there will come a mistake

As life deals me a rotten hand,
I look to my feet, where will I land

I look to the sky ,the beautiful clouds
And to them, I scream out loud

Oh God how could this be
Why do these things happen to me

As God stretched out his loving arms
And tells me, he meant no harm

Life is full of lessons to learn
Sometimes you chose to take the wrong turn

Rest peacefully tonight and tomorrow you'll see
What a beautiful day it will be

Autumn leaves lying dead on the ground
Just like my heart strings tousled all around
