I would love to know how to do this but I have been unable to find pics that I can copy. I have tried many ways. If you can help please do so. ty.

Stone, try going to google for images. On the upper right hand part of the home page click "images" then type in the item you're seeking a photo of. Click on that picture, (it should open on the right side of the screen) right click on the picture, then click "open image in new tab". Highlight then copy the "new image" address and paste here by clicking on the picture icon!

My Gram and My Mom had one of these. When we were just going through My Mom's things in her storage unit a week ago - we found both of them. (My Mom must have inherited My Gram's. Sooooooo... now I have one and My sister has the other.

OMG hang on too that! With all the crap they put in spreads nowadays with that, you can make your own, plus you get to control the exact ingredients you want. I mean if you like spreads.

Yeah, I am really trying to think of some things I could make using that. Things that would be unexpected, you know? Non-traditional. I am guessing if I googled I would likely find a recipe guide or something with it in mind.

That is crazy - the prices. I was just looking at the pic and I thought that would be a cool pic to have framed and hang it in My kitchen. My maternal grandmother used to work for the local butcher in the town where I grew up.

I used one in the early 70s when I was in high school. Had to rinse each load three times so had to fill up the washer 4 times (to wash once, to rinse three times) for every load. Yes, it was better than having to wash clothes at the river, but it was laborious. I would sometimes add a drop or two of blue coloring to brighten my white clothes. Haven't done that in years.

Instead of filling & refilling the washer itself, my mom used a big wash tub with clear water for rinsing. Her system was whites, then towels, beddings, & last darks!

For sure one thing to be thankful for modern technology!

Why would one make a koozy from aluminum foil? Would it not conduct heat in a similar way to the can as they're the same metal? I might use the kitchen dish towel. It may insulate better.

I don't know from conducting heating, science was never my strong suite but I know we did the same with wrapping soda in foil. My mom went a step further and always then took a sheet of newspaper to wrapped over the foil...:hangloose:
