Today is the day that the UN named and is honoring those who have died & survived in this concentration camp in Poland. I have relatives who died and survived this horrible part of our history. Rosie's step father also took part in freeing a concentation camp, and has horrible memories of what he saw.

We go to the Washington, DC memorial yearly to honor those who were involved in all of the concentation camps. They will never be forgotten. We continuously pray for them.

I thought it would be a good place to start talking about it, so nobody forgets.

Some famous folks who survived the holocaust Anne Frank, Elie Wiesel, Roman Polanski, Simon Wiesenthal, and Ruth Westheimer.

Great thread Andrew.

Anne Frank died at Bergen Belsen of Typhus though.

I watched the Nurenberg Trials, Shoa and some other films a few years ago. It is important that we never forget.

My parents survived the holocaust. I know I had many relatives (one for certain was my mother's brother) killed in concentration camps.

This was a horrible part of history. I don't think it will be forgotten any time soon, as it affected so many lives and generations since.
