I'm going to move again.i've determined I really hate condo living.also,I'm going to ignore the fact that I am a "senior". If it has to happen, best to die in your own bed in a house you really like....so, I'll take out a 30 year mortgage and get another one when that expires.

Personally I find current constant data streams malignant, estranging. We can't even enjoy a sunset or a meal without taking masses of pics of it to send to people who don't have time to look at them anyway cause they're so busy taking their own ""selfies".

Five years from now I intend to be an even crabbier old lady.

Why we say 'God bless you' after a sneeze (http://people.howstuffworks.com/sneezing.htm)

The phrase "God bless you" is attributed to Pope Gregory the Great, who uttered it in the sixth century during a bubonic plague epidemic (sneezing is an obvious symptom of one form of the plague).

Where does the term "dutch oven" come from?

During the late 17th century, the Dutch system of producing these cast metal cooking vessels was more advanced than the English system. The Dutch used dry sand to make their molds, giving their pots a smoother surface. Consequently, metal cooking vessels produced in the Netherlands were imported into Britain. In 1704, an Englishman named Abraham Darby decided to go to the Netherlands to observe the Dutch system for making these cooking vessels. Four years later, back in England, Darby patented a casting procedure similar to the Dutch process and began to produce cast-metal cooking vessels for Britain and her new American colonies. Thus the term “Dutch oven” has endured for over 300 years, since at least 1710. From Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_oven)

i can be a bit judgy at times.

what makes colours iridescent?

From Wikipedia: It is often caused by multiple reflections from two or more semi-transparent surfaces in which phase shift and interference of the reflections modulates the incidental light (by amplifying or attenuating some frequencies more than others). The thickness of the layers of the material determines the interference pattern. Iridescence can for example be due to thin-film interference, the functional analogue of selective wavelength attenuation as seen with the Fabry–Pérot interferometer, and can be seen in oil films on water and soap bubbles. Iridescence is also found in plants, animals and many other items. The range of colours of natural iridescent objects can be narrow, for example shifting between two or three colours as the viewing angle changes, or a wide range of colours can be observed.

Iridescence can also be created by diffraction. This is found in items like CDs, DVDs, or cloud iridescence. In the case of diffraction, the entire rainbow of colours will typically be observed as the viewing angle changes.

I was "taken off the schedule" at a job because my FMLA ran out. Nice way of saying they fired me after 10 years of killing myself for the place. I was sick and unable to work, and was denied disability. Well I got my s*** together, went out and got a job and busted my butt to prove myself. Eight years and a nice promotion later, here I am at the best paying job I've ever had, and with the respect of my coworkers for my well deserved title. So if I had not gotten fired, I would still be at the old job going nowhere. QUESTION: What is the one regret you have always had?

Yes, I think it's possible, though I've never experienced it. I think we're conditioned to love one person at a time and I think part of this conditioning is man's way of controlling society—specifically women.

Is it possible to have a fulfilling relationship with someone who doesn't love you, but is in love with another?

It depends on what are the boundaries of the relationship. If someone is my friend and not a romantic interest, than yes, I can have a fulfilling relationship with them while they are in love with someone.

For me, if I am in a romantic relationship with someone that I am in love with and they are in love with another, (meaning not me), than no it would not be a fulfilling relationship. I would not be in such a relationship. I would move on.

Do you think it is possible for a victim/survivor to be an abuser in an unrelated scenario to when they were the abused? If so, should there be help available to an abuser to change their abusive behavior and/or woundedness?

I do because it's been documented that people who abuse people started by abusing animals. I don't know how the jump is made in their minds from an animal to a human. I don't really understand the psychodynamics going on there. I would imagine if the abuse was severe enough, the victim could easily become hardened and be abusive without even realizing it. There should always be help available for those who want to/can change. While I don't speak from a professional standpoint, it seems all abusers were at one time abused themselves. It's a cycle that just gets repeated. I do believe there are some unable to change though.

Do you believe in capital punishment for abusers who do not kill their victims?

With the laws we currently have in place - yes. This because some crimes are just so brutal, so horrific that even though the victim lives what was done to them/the damage they are left to deal with is so much worse than that what the evidence seems to indicate someone cleanly, simply, swiftly killed suffered at the hands of their attacker and yet the law allows for the straight forward murderer's execution.

Be present with and for a person that is dying.

What do you when you are feeling creative?

I love this question! Sometimes I dance because I am happy, sometimes I write, often I reorganize things or redecorate. Sometimes I go for a walk so that I might enjoy the outdoors and "think" at the same time.

Have you had, or are you planning on having, a second career?

Have you had, or are you planning on having, a second career?

This is why I am in Graduate School. For my second career I am going into chaplaincy. I like the counseling aspect of it and there are many venues where a chaplain can be used. For example, mental health institutions, veterans organizations, prisons, hospitals, hospices, non-profits, community organizing, airports and private sector.

Are you going to vote in the Presidential primaries and general election? If so why and if not, why?

Are you going to vote in the Presidential primaries and general election? If so why and if not, why?

Yes, I'm voting in my state's primary and the gen election because I want my voice heard. I want it to be noted that I have an opinion. It's one of my ways of standing up and being counted. I'm also voting because a lot of people made great sacrifices so that I could vote.

I would love it if there was a law to enforce voting in this country and the punishment for not voting would be a hefty fine.

Walking in the woods, it's not so much a hobby I guess, as something I enjoy doing. Most of my life I lived near the ocean and loved walking on beaches for hours, but the past thirteen years there is no beach near me so I find in the absence of a sandy beach, the woods works well. I find it relaxing to walk and I find my awareness of my surroundings magnifies when I am in the woods. I just love the sounds and the smells.

Riding my bicycle is so very relaxing, to me. When I ride, I am very aware of my surroundings; the wind in my hair - from rushing down a hill is so exhilarating. Sometimes fabrication is bigger than life. Truth can expose a variety of excuses and feelings the story teller can hide behind. And then, it can be the norm for some!

Why do bad things happen to good people?

Why do bad things happen to good people?

Because we don't get to choose what cards we're dealt in life. We don't get to decide which good or bad things come our way. Shit happens and we just have to deal with it.

What are you passionate about?

Smile and tell someone they look amazing! I do this all the time, especially with older women when I see them out in the world. You would be amazed at the smile that will take over a 70-year-old woman's face when you wink at her and say, "Gosh, I love your style! You look so gorgeous!" And it costs me nothing to do this!

Do you feel flattered or annoyed when someone copies your style or way of presenting yourself?

I also tell parents (and the child if appropriate) when their children are well behaved, polite, and otherwise impress me in social settings. It happens more than you think. It usually nonplusses the parents and then makes them smile.

I (yes me) cut my hair 25 years ago from long to short because it began to drive me out of my mind to dry it all. I used to wear it curly and very “poofy” on top, but now it is the more modern “ I just rolled out of bed look, and?” Look of a messy shag.

The future. Women were often treated abysmal in the past and in some ways still are in the present. Hopefully things will be better in the future, and that better tomorrow doesn't take very long to get here.

Would you rather spend, assuming it's a real place, a day in Christian hell and live through the full pain of it, but be returned home unharmed the next day, or spend the rest of your life with the worst bitch of a nag partner, one your worst enemy would be delighted to see you stuck with, as you pray for death to hurry up and take you? Even as you continue to live anyway for a very long time?

Oh yeah and you DO have enemies to worry about.
