The bonne would like to know why all of The Posters here are posting in The Third People rather than simply in third person. The bonne likes all forms of the non-first and the non-second person language, yet The Third People form takes The bonne to an uncharted place in The brain of The bonne.

Cara does not have time to read back and catch up on all she missed. However, she does want to say that she is super envious of all you wonderful people who are getting together in Austin this weekend. She wanted to be there, but will be stuck in an all-day choir rehearsal PLUS spending time in the afternoon being video recorded for a local show, Evening Magazine, that will air next Friday at 7pm after my chorus sings at the Westlake Center Tree Lighting Ceremony!

cara is sad to find out too many overqualified external candidates applied for the open job in her department so she's been ousted from the interviewing process. It's hard to think positively about this because I would like a job change so badly. However, everything happens for a reason and blah blah blah. At least she still has a job.
BUT! cara is very excited/nervous to find out she gets to visit with her 1st :stillheart: and her wife in a few weeks. They have not seen one another in...8? 9? years. Yikes!

AlovelyKiss slept like a rock last night because she was able to get herself fixed right up in no time at all - but it was a temporary fix, like all fixes. Fortunately, AlovelyKiss makes wonderful coffee and breakfast (when she thinks to do it) and she is waking up to another pearly grey morning with all the loveliness that liquid sunshine offers. AlovelyKiss will now wear her sunglasses in honor of all days the sun shines down upon the lovely clouds that shade her from the sun because she remembered last night to purchase some sunglasses at 0-dark thirty at a 24/hour location that specializes in helping others fix their temporary problems.

Gemme did not get a waxing and pedicure, as was her plans for her birthday, oh no, she didn't. She got up late and said 'hi' and 'thanks' to folks for the birthday wishes and then she and Ebon got up and out for lunch at Haiku followed by ice cream at Amy's and then pool at Third Base. These activities sometimes included Ebon, but also included (at different intervals), Arwen and Syzygy. Gemme had a blast and may have cackled in glee more than once during that time frame.
Gemme is now at home, sipping her Route 44 cherry limeade with real cherries, and is perusing the threads and chilling out, as it's purdy darn hot outside.

Dixie is tired as hell because her stupid mind had her tossing and turning, then woke her up at 5:30am after only about 3 hours of sleep. Then she sat thru boring lectures from 9:30am until 7:30pm. Pure just watched the trailer for the American remake for The Girl with a Dragon Tattoo. Pure hates remakes of foreign films because she feels they get dumbed down.

Dixie had a lovely day. The a/c started going out in her car during the hour long drive to school. Then there was no a/c in the class room, so she spent a little over 2 hours sitting in a room that was only slightly cooler than the mid-90s outside. She was also saved from having to punch the lady in the back of the head, by the big tattoed lesbian (not dixie lol) who jumped up and pretty much told the lady exactly what the class thought of her. The lady then left class while mumbling that she had an appointment somewhere. Is it bad that the class applauded when she left? Also, after staring at her professor for the last 2 weeks, Dixie realized why she looks so familiar. She had met the prof and her wife at the gay bar because they are good friends with one of Dixie's exes.
It has been an interesting day for Dixie, but she is tired again and STILL has to go in to work in a lil while.

Nina is not comfortable in her own skin right now, metaphorically and physically...she is uncertain as to the causes, though has some suspicions... she is uncertain as to what steps to take to effect relief...
she is thinking of a few days away...
she is going to try to hock some bags at a store on valencia st....she doesn't like the selling part and wishes she had a sales rep...
she has a hard time just 'sitting and being' with the feelings she is feeling...
she worries she will be whiney and needy, neither of which are attractive behaviors...at times like this she misses her T...but, she knows shit happens, and one carries on...and acts like a fucking grown-up and shuts the fuck up!
Nina is not very kind to herself in these moments...she is still kind to others, so that is the saving grace, she believes and hopes at least...

T is super happy that Sunshyne is getting some much needed sleep ....after 2 nights of barely any.
T is also happy that this is night one of 4 working ...then hy is off on a road trip to bring Sunshyne to Nebraska for the summer. :)

ALovelyKiss went on a long drive up into the mountains, loved all the beauty she saw, stopped and had something to eat (wants cake and ice cream now) and sadly, she's no better off than when she first left for her drive today. AlovelyKiss will now spend some time practicing blue sparkle therapy and binge on chocolate and coconut to help her feel better and listen to the quietness while she sips on her freshly made cup of tea with honey.

Dixie will definitely be partaking in National Donut Day tomorrow as she has to drive past a Krispy Kreme to get to her bank. She is also wondering why in the hell she has three different paychecks this week. One for $700, one for $110, one for $92. Could they not just put all that on one damn check? She also wonders not only about the unusual amounts of each, but also what each one signifies. She probably should have asked about it during the one-hour board meeting which lasted almost three hours. Dixie is just too darn exhausted this week to even care at this point. BUT she is a lil happier than she was. Or at least she tells herself that she is...

ALovelyKiss has somewhat more color in her skin today as the sun draped the skies and let it's light shine.
ALovelyKiss came home from her day and she helped her sons' friends out by taking their little 18-month adorable baby boy out for an evening walk to calm him down and soothe his tired soul. ALovelyKiss thinks Esais likes her `cause he looks at her with sweet little baby brown eyes and smiles when he is held. ALovelyKiss loves babies...
ALovelyKiss is chilling out now and testing some white pineapple blue sparkle remedies and listening to SRV and watching the last of the beautiful sunset...

Gayla did not partake in donut day just because the nearest KK is very far away in the wrong direction. She did have ice cream though which was probably better than fried dough but wasn't free.

Dixie is slightly annoyed at herself for getting behind this week. It just occurred to her that she has 3 papers due this week at school. With the work issues and staff meetings, she totally let it slip her mind that she had a ginormous amount of homework this week. She will be doing it sporadically between all the other stuff she needs to get done. It's been a weird, off-kilter week. Dixie does not like being off-kilter.

Sharon is grateful that she was able to kinda sorta sleep without propping herself up last night, and her congestion is slightly better than the day before. Sharon is going to give her niece a "what for" tonight for sharing this lovely illness. It's one thing to get Sharon sick, but when you mess with Mare ... *rolling up sleeves* .....

What side-tract her price took...but, she's not too concerned anymore - she's happy with her mice...they really are very entertaining ;)
Besides, Cindy now has Pinky - her 8 month old Bichon Frise, who is a scamp, and as adorable as can be. Pinky is her mommy's gift from God, and she is spoiled & adored!
