Hi everyone,
Don't know if a thread like this already exists.
But i thought would give it a go.
To get people interested maybe in bands or people you haven't seen in concert, either live in person or on tv/dvd etc.
having just watched Adele on tv from new York, i was just awestruck by her voice, and a kooky personality.
Shes adoreable.
Having got her last album, which i loved, i recorded the concert off british tv over christmas, but they did cut it just to 1 hr which was a shame.
Shes got one of those voices so individual, you know its her straight off.
So if its on a tv station you get please watch it.
i love music, so any of you that have any gigs that you have watched that you know are on dvd etc, feel free to post your recommendations.

I'm going to this (http://palmspringswomensjazzfestival.org/) jazz festival in a couple weeks to see Maysa (http://www.maysa.com/) and Jessie J. (http://www.jessyj.com/)
Jessy plays and Maysa sings "smooth and cool" jazz. I prefer different kinds of jazz, but I like "smooth and cool" jazz in small doses. I'm really looking forward to this and expect to have a good time.

I'm quite tempted to. Easy enough for me to get there. I'll let you know how it is if I go!
Meanwhile my upcoming shows are This one (http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/joan-baez-mary-chapin-carpenter-indigo-girls-plot-tour-w467462) with Joan Baez, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and the Indigo Girls this Saturday.
Then Dead and Co on Tuesday next week.
It's a great week for loving the live music!

I used to work for Live Nation as a Summer gig, working at concerts. Man I saw soooo many groups, some I loved, some I have never heard of. One of my favorite performances was Green Day, they put on a killer show. Some of the groups/musicians I have seen though:
Grateful Dead
Mumford and Sons
Brad Paisley
Lady Antebellum
Eddie Vedder
Neil Diamond
Just as a small example of the variety of concerts I have been at. We have tickets to see Nickelback (don't hate, they are my fave!) in September, I bought VIP Box seats for the concert, super stoked for that.

Nickelback puts on an amazing show, they do not disappoint. Eddie is great, it was just him and his guitar on stage with a mic for a benefit concert, it was fantastic.

I've been a Vedder fan since the days of Temple of the dog and then pearl jam.
