the Torrington Alberta Gopher Museum; the Corn Palace in Mitchel S.Dakota, the massive World's First UFO Landing Pad in St Paul Alberta,
World's Largest Painted Easter Egg in Vegreville Alberta.etc etc.

I always imagine someone going into a town council meeting carrying a flip chart and saying "Listen up, everyone! I have a great idea for a great tourist attraction that's going to bring thousands of tourists here...put us on the map...We got big trees, let's cut a hole in one and let people drive through it...We got lots of of cow shit, let's have the world's biggest cow shit throwing Olympics ..etc etc..

Lol...well, it involved two very hungry friends who decided late one night to "experiment" with the new Ready Set Go Fryer and several recipes that called for veggies or mini-corn dogs, and (my down fall) a bag of Food Lion veggie batter (kinda like Shake-n-bake for veggies, only with wayyyyy too much pepper)....
I was excited we had a big batch of zucchini and yellow squarsh...so we shredded a bunch, tossed it with batter, fried it up...took one bite, and laughed our butts off about how bad it was, especially after I had bragged of my cooking skills. ..It was like a pancake batter with a tub of pepper. NASTY!!! ...
I think we drove to town to get dinner at Wendy's after that.

I don't recall using the Ready Set Go since then.

I love LOVE fishing, can't get enough of it, however I squeal like a little girl trying to get the fish off the hook when it starts wiggling.... i try so hard to do it quietly, I just can't help it.

all this talk of fishing...

Its been a lifetime thing for me. I drove a boat since about 9 yrs old. i grew up on the bayou so it was what we did. I do not believe in catch and release, i only kill what I eat or give to others. When my freezer was full, i would drop off my catch to the old men who fished off the bank. They said their wives thought they were catching all of them haha

My little house on the bayou was my heaven. I could be in my fishing spot in less than 10 minutes. On the weekends thats how i start the day. The bayous by my house filled the bayous and the intracoastal canal could bring me all the way to the big lake. Sometimes i just went gator watching with my trolling motor. I saw otters playing, blue herons flying, pelicans, turtles.... it was truly my paradise.
I could fish until dark fishing the banks all the way in.

It was always crazy seeing the looks on the other fishermen's faces when I would fly down the bayou all alone in my aluminum flatboat. (One scared the crap out of me and not in a good way)

As an adult I competed in fishing rodeos down at the gulf and had a garage full of trophies and plaques! I loved it.

I took up freshwater and flyfishing and found a whole new love. Bass fishing is my true calling!

I have only been out there a couple of times since Katrina, its just not the same now. Maybe one day..

Y'all are making me sad with fishing, I miss it and haven't done any since I left Oklahoma.

Honestly now that I am away from fishing I have been thinking. People have asked me "how can you do that to the poor fish?" I guess I was desensitized and never thought about what the fish was going through on the other side of the water. I have fought a large 40 pound redfish for 20-30 minutes until i just gave up. That doesn't make me feel good now.

I have no problem killing something that is threatening me, but the fish haven't done anything , other than being hungry at the wrong time.

It made me start re-thinking the whole thing.

I think, human or animals in the wild, we have to eat and would never take what we couldn't eat or share.

We have similar routines! After having my wake up time back in bed with coffee I like to have time to do things like make/start dinner or do some laundry before I go in to work. Do not like having to just run out the door without some home/nesting time.

I get up as soon as my eyes open, but I am not awake. I have to feed the pets and sit down with my coffee before my brain forms logical thought. I could also roll out of bed and get into the shower to wake up, but I prefer the coffee method.

I'm an highly disciplined type of individual. I don't know why though, unless it's because of the social structure of sibling duties and responsibilities, which many were delegated to me, from a very young age. It's typical of me to oversee many projects to completion, while bringing on board new duties, then that sort of cycle keeps going until ..... I just need to take time off. Which isn't always easy for me to do, to take time off. Weirdly, I've gotten better at letting go, over the years.

I hate wearing socks. I only wear them when I have to in boots or shoes and if I can get away with taking them off unnoticed at work- (I hate stinky shoes more, so there is a need sometimes) -they are gone! Neatly in my footwear for quick reapply if necessary. IF I have to wear them, they HAVE to be super soft and the seams have to be over the top of my toes, crooked at all will cause an accident while driving as I fight to fix them or take them off. I have flip flops in my car for long trips.

It doesn't matter where I have lived but my house ALWAYS has an office in it. I think I have some sort of love for office supplies too. LOL!

I'm a foodie, my mom taught all her kids to try everything at least once. She also kept a napkin nearby in case we wanted to spit it out, but always made us try.

I have become truly obsessive with not wanting snakes any where near my dogs or on my property since I moved last summer to 2+ acres of mostly pine woods. DUH?? Move to pine woods, this is the way it is!

I have so much stress going on with concern for my babies ... it sometimes feels like I am going over the edge with it.

I know people are sick and tired of hearing about it. Believe me, I am sick and tired of it more than anyone can know. I have researched these shoulderless critters to the nth degree and back ... still doing more too!

It is my job to protect Kevie and Jennifer from copperheads. If I lived without pets, I would not give all these freaking snakes much thought.

I really am quite afraid of snakes. Even harmless ones!! On the news last night there was a story of a woman (lives in Tennessee) who was sleeping in her loft bedroom she could only get into with a ladder. She woke up to find a snake curled on her arm:blink::bolt: it was a rat snake but how on earth did it get there??!!!!?..the story never said:twitch:

I love icetea, prefer iced green tea with honey.. mmm
I have no fear of snakes, at all, I am more afraid that they will think I am going to hurt them and attack. When my ex husband told our daughter she couldn't have the homeless dog from the shelter that she wanted more than anything, but could have ANY other pet, I got her the snake she wanted instead. Ball point python. Beautiful creature.

I drink my ice tea straight without sweeteners or ice just cold.

I like to photograph snakes and will often take off running to give chase for a photo. I do not have non-domestic animals as pets.

I like to photograph all kinds of wildlife.

Oh, more than one sorry Ms. Dee.

I'm a desert girl. I love monsoons and the smell of dust.

I know how to shoot an old school, medium format film camera. It's so old that it doesn't even use batteries -- it operates 100% manually :)

I do not like music past the 80s. Anything 90s or beyond, I click off unless its Tracy Chapman. Or Adele. (I do like real old time rock and roll but I almost never listen to it)

I have been verbally attacked for saying I would prefer not to listen to music in the car.

At home, I almost never listen to music. And when I do, its Tracy Chapman. Or maybe Adele or Bob Dylan.

On FB I click to block videos if music accompanies them. It ruins them for me.

And...I am tired of being told I am a freak for not liking music like most of the world. It doesnt make me a bad person. I am not crippled. I just dont like music, like some people dont like to dance. :|
