Tonight is all about winding down after a hellish week at work, listening to some Fka Twigs and Braves, tidying up, doing a facemark, burning some incense, drinking some wine, and waiting on my FaceTime date to get home so we can decompress.

I just got done making a new kind of salsa and Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip cookie bars. I'm taking a break before I pack up to head out tomorrow morning to spend the weekend with my family. Tomorrow will involve pontooning & swimming in the Mississippi, my bestie and my family, and a few drinks!

Now time to spend with my two boy kitties, loving them up for awhile...and going to bed half way early.

Well, this Friday evening is shaping up to be much less painful than the last 3 have been. I had my left total knee revision surgery done on the 17th of last month. They had to replace the plastic disk, shave and reshape the patella and remove and replace the titanium femoral cap/section of the main prosthetic. This surgery was supposed to be more extensive and painful than the original surgeries I had back in 2007 and 2008.

I'm already walking with just a cane now and I will start Outpatient physical therapy next week, which I'm very much looking forward to. All in all, this has been, IMO, a much easier experience than it was before. Of course, being over 100 lbs. + lighter in weight has helped tremendously, too. :winky:

My day kicked my butt upside down and right to left. My post work spin class was cancelled so I can't work off my emotional energy on the bike. Bah. But I'm home early and finally warm. My partner is sweeping in soon with Thai food and wine that I hope to consume while we watch Stranger Things. The rest of the night is open to opportunity, which may or may not be good. If we get to stay home it's good. But we're in crisis at work and there's high possibility I get an emergency call to go in.

Congrats Theo! That is an amazing accomplishment. I had a left total knee prosthesis done 2 years ago and I did not take but one pain pill post op. My surgeon loaded the open knee up with a pain cocktail before gluing me shut. I was so relieved to NOT have that awful arthritic pain anymore.

I am so glad the revision was so much easier on you! Keep up the good work.

Yesterday was stressful, but I got a lot done in spite of pulled muscles in my back. So today I relaxed. Mostly reading books and watching The Hobbit. I love those films. Last night was getting my daughter home from college for spring break. Yay! I am currently ensconced in a pile of fuckery which includes boxes of stuff I need to get rid of, piles of stuff I need to put into boxes, a shelving unit I took apart, and a very lazy dog.

There is also a Very Gay Playlist on Spotify and my God-Brother is coming over to visit for a bit and bring me a Starbucks.

I was late getting out of work, went to the grocery store, came home and put the groceries away, fed the babies, fed myself (more than I needed to but the cake was so darn good), watched some TV, played online and now I'm here.

Left to do: take out the trash and recycling, shut the house down for the night and get some shuteye. Hey, maybe I'll wake up a lottery winner as I picked a ticket up at the store. I would not mind that at all!

I got out of work early so I ate a quick lunch and ran some errands, then got a pedicure and a no color manicure. After that, I stopped at Jiffy Lube really quick and let them top off my oil and air pressure and then made one of my random treks into Hobby Lobby.

I abhor their political views but they have the best stuff. I torture myself a couple times of year by going in and wishing for stuff and trying to resist. I'm more successful some times and less successful others. Today was a better day. Go me!

After that, I picked up a couple lottery tickets and stopped at home to make dinner. Then I headed back out to The Home Depot for paint and a brush and then on to Walmart where I ran into one of my favorite customers and his lovely wife and we wound up walking though about half the store together, cracking up. She says I'm not allowed to shop with them any more because I encourage him. lol It was so much fun! On the way home, I found myself followed by another customer of mine. Luckily, another nice one.

Back at home, I unpacked and gave the fur babies some love, then cleaned their box, washed their bowls, changed into my pajamas and washed my face. Now, I'm trying to get tired enough to sleep since I have to get up over an hour early tomorrow morning. Not exceptionally exciting but a fun night and only moderately expensive.

Spent hours online doing very little shopping and a whole lot of price comparing. Did everyone a favor by sitting down, having coffee and staying out of the way while the new curtain rod was installed. Had lunch with son the day after his birthday at the same place we just went to the day before his birthday. Went thrift store shopping again, this time it was a bust. Got back home with nothing to lug up the stairs and then took a long nap. Woke up for meds, loved on Monte and now since I can't sleep due having slept earlier I've given up trying and am having the rest of that latte I didn't finish earlier back when it was warm, now over ice.

Friday night was dinner with my parents and sister in law and nephews. It was really good for the most part. The boys were VERY wound up but I think I helped wear them out a little. We wrestled and I gave them airplane rides on my legs and we had sparkler fireworks and took a walk and somehow got them to eat some food. Then there were a few videos of them making up songs about butts and farts which is their specialty.

I didn't get to watch the sun set tonight which bummed me a little but not enough to miss a night with my nephews.

Nice so far. My eldest came over and we visited for a bit. I got to see the first sonogram pictures of my grandchild. Still too early to determine sex. So far everything looks good, but no evidence of twins. :( The baby is about an inch longer than most usually are at that stage but both of my sons were longer than normal too and it really doesn't mean much. My youngest was two inches longer than my eldest at birth yet today my youngest is five foot something and my oldest six foot something. Long story short, we'll just have to wait and see. Monte has been extra lovey tonight which is nice for a change and we're hanging out. Right now I'm just fighting back sleep, trying to stay up so I can get to bed at a decent hour and back on schedule again. I might listen to a documentary on Netflix while I'm playing on the computer to help me stay awake. Hope everyone's Friday, for those who are craving some down time, has been as chillaxing as mine.

I rode my bike every day at lunch, and I ordered a patio umbrella so I can sit out in the hot sun of morning. I put together a storage unit with parts from China and California. I am making cauliflower rice tonight, and ready for three days off. Gratitude is huge.

I just wanted to make sure, with a baby on the way and then talk of layoffs due to the pandemic, the kids were on solid ground financially before taking them up on their offer. Later the plan is to read a little more of the container gardening book I'm studying, then some TV/Monte cuddle time before lights out.

Well, the kitties and I ate around 7ish and then I watched some of season 5 of Lucifer and put the food up and cleaned up from dinner, chatted with the kitties, got 10,000 steps in before midnight, checked on the sprinklers around 1am when they kicked on.....I have one that forgets it is supposed to travel so there's a brown patch of grass that shouldn't be there.....organized stuff for about an hour, took a shower and now I'm playing online and checking my email. Exciting stuff. The big mystery is if the guy who rents next to me will come in at 6 or 7am, banging and stomping around, and wake me up or if I'll get a full night's sleep.

Today WA Governor Inslee issued a travel advisory so we will be sticking close to home tonight and for a while it appears.

The advisories urge against traveling out of state unless it’s essential. Essential travel is defined as travel for work and study, critical infrastructure support, economic services and supply chains, health, immediate medical care, and safety and security.

The advisories also urge people to limit their interactions with others to their own household and stay local.

Yesterday Inslee and his wife Judy asked for the residents of WA to be very conscious when holding their Thanksgiving Day holiday celebration as well.

And she was like well we could but it might get awkward... yes that’s when my jaw dropped and I got it,all the while all the employees were watching and waiting and boom they bust out in laughter when I couldn’t even give a comeback because yeah we are at work

The kids are busy this weekend so without their schedules to consider I'm able to take things slower, go at my own pace. I made an easy dinner did some dishes and have been playing on the computer. That's about it so far. I'll probably watch some Netflix later and definitely spend some time working on my shopping list for next week. Not much else. I was up all last night and part of this morning waiting for a deposit to hit the bank which has left me exhausted. Even though I got a nap in I've been dragging so tonight I'm just leaving it at at comfort, comfort, comfort to the tune of not really very much excitement.
