I awoke today and you werent here
Reaching over to feel for you and you werent there

I awoke today and remembered you were gone
You used to capture that which I held to dear
As you held my hand in yours and told me not to fear
You stroked my face, kissed my lips and held me near
Only to realize you were going away to move on
I now hold the pillow that once touched your face
